CTC Kingshurst Academy

A very warm welcome to Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst. We are a large academy serving a large community of students in year seven to year thirteen and it is my privilege to introduce myself as the new Principal. I joined Tudor Grange Academies Trust in 2015 as College Leader at Tudor Grange Academy Redditch. Since then, I have worked across multiple Tudor Grange sites in a school improvement guise. The Trust, as at September 2021, is a Trust of twelve schools: five secondary, one all through academy and five primary academies. The core vision of the Trust is to develop a Multi Academy Trust of four self-sufficient geographical hubs: Solihull, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and the East Midlands. I have been working with, and at Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst, since 2017 as part of the senior team here and have led, alongside the whole staff body the school improvement journey. My intention is to offer long-term commitment to a community that deserves the best for its young people. This school is special, and it is my intention, and the intention of the senior team and governors to hold high expectations of all learners by creating a culture of inquisitive and spirited learning coupled with high-quality, extra-curricular and in-school experiences that go beyond the classroom. We want learners at Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst, to leave with, not only the qualifications they require to make their own choices, but also, as happy, and articulate young people with life- long memories. Young people who have developed skills and responsible attributes that will allow them to be successful happy adults. Our school is staffed by a team of fantastic teachers and support staff, who are committed to learning and ensuring the very best opportunities for our students. I hope the website gives you some idea about our community and the opportunities we have to offer.

Corinne's Creative Kitchen

2021 sees Corinne's Creative Kitchen going from strenght to strength. We work with flavour in our kitchen. Our products are completely natural using the best quality local ingredients with no additives or preservatives and produced in small batches. Our spices mainly come from India. We are quite fussy about this as we try to recreate the exotic flavours, the essence of Indian home food. Indian dishes, snacks, sauces and pickles are our main products but we also supply a small selection of Thai dishes. When the pandemic hit in 2020, we decided to add an extra string to our bow by creating a completely new 2-person portion menu with an international flavour. These have been taken up very well and have brought in a new customer base. This menu changes regularly, but already there are some ‘cannot remove’ favourites. Living in The Garden of England, we are almost obliged to produce some chutneys and jams from the local fruit in the gardens around us. But, as we favour the exotic, in 2020 we started producing cordials such as Spiced Crab apple, Grape & Hibiscus and Apple & Bramble, to name a few. Our Lemon & Ginger is a MUST for your Gin! We simply do have to mention our home-made Indian Mustard and Horseradish Mustard, hand-made in small quantities that go ‘oh so well’ with roast beef and other meats. We have run cookery classes since 2008, as I love teaching people how to cook good Indian home food. Since 2020 our classes are on ZOOM and I AM LOVING IT! I can now reach so many more people. I run single classes with a theme but my mainstay is a 6-course weekly class which gives a very good grounding and covers chicken curry to fried fish, with options for using vegetables instead of meats. We continue with our delivery service to a few farm shops and directly to the public. Now in mid-2021 we are starting to cater quite regularly for small parties as everyone comes out to celebrate those special birthdays or just catching up with friends. You can find us on Faversham market on the 1st and the 3rd Saturday of every month. We hope to meet you somewhere and tantalize your taste buds with our delicious dishes.

Westcountry Schools Trust

Stronger together . . . every child in a great school Welcome to Westcountry Schools Trust (WeST); a tight-knit family of schools based around natural geographical proximity in the South West. Initially formed as a small multi academy trust of only two schools in 2011, the Trust has experienced several iterations of growth and change. In essence, WeST as we recognise it today, was launched in September 2017 with the ambition of delivering exceptional education for 2-19 years olds with the additional ability to provide both undergraduate and postgraduate study through The Learning Institute (TLI). Whilst school trusts are now common place across the educational landscape, WeST significantly differs from many by not only having a Teaching School but through its Higher Education provision via TLI. The WeST family now extends to 27 schools of which 8 are secondary and 19 primary. All 19 primary schools naturally transition children into a WeST secondary school, an area of work we wish to further strengthen as our work matures. WeST holds a firm belief in giving each child every opportunity to learn and succeed in all that they do. Whilst we are a family of schools who share common values and beliefs, all our schools are unique and hold their own identity. We believe that by working collectively, sharing what works well and jointly developing best practice, we are stronger together and can provide the very best education for our children in our geographical area. We have a pride in our schools, staff and children, and thrive on the constant challenge to do better. All our children are our collective responsibility. Rob Haring
