Trained initially at the renowned Moray House in Edinburgh, completing many workshops and courses, I continue to further my own education and knowledge ensuring I keep up to date with the latest research and trends and able to ensure that my classes remain fresh, relevant and exciting. I teach all age groups and levels including children with learning disabilities and have taught in over 150 schools and organisations across the South of Scotland and the North East of England promoting health and leadership training for children, young people and staff. Full day workshops teaching fitness (mainly through dance) helps young people develop self confidence, self reliance and ambition to achieve their goals, both in work and in their general lives. Showcasing the results to parents, other pupils and members of staff works wonders. Staff training days offer wellbeing and fitness workshops to teachers and training staff to improve health and balance in their increasingly busy and stressful lives.

I’m Esther Wolff, and I’m a garden coach, qualified in horticulture and garden design. Based in Harrogate, in fabulous North Yorkshire, I’m lucky to have the gorgeous RHS Harlow Carr Gardens on my doorstep. This is where I trained in horticulture and garden design, where I regularly go for inspiration, to soak up the beauty of the gardens in all seasons, and to use the wonderful library – and where I now work part-time as a Horticultural Advisor. My passion for gardening grew out of my love for the natural world. I spent 15 years working on environmental issues around the globe, before deciding to step back and try to make a difference in my local area. I’m a strong believer in gardening organically, and in our responsibility as gardeners to provide a home and source of food to insects, birds and other wild animals. At a time when the natural world is under threat in so many ways, what could be better than watching wildlife thrive in your own small patch? Of course, gardening has many benefits for the gardener too, offering fresh air, exercise and a sanctuary from a busy world. There is such pleasure to be gained from nurturing plants and watching them thrive under our care, as well as from creating beauty where before there was none. My conviction that we would all benefit from gardens in our lives eventually led me to establish my practice as a garden coach. I now share my skills with others, helping them to develop the knowledge and confidence to create and look after their own beautiful outdoor space. Crimsham Farm is a community farming project, spearheaded and run by Veterans of the ArmedForces and young adults with learning difficulties. We run a variety of weekly clubs that engage with the local community, offering a completely inclusive experience for all. The site itself has been structured on a needs led basis, built and improved at every step through engagement with our users and the wider community, additions made at their request, making us the most unique farming project in the county. Crimsham Farm also acts as an alternative education provision, providing a space away from school for students who struggle to fit with the models of mainstream education and as a therapeutic centre for students with Special Educational Needs. By 2021 we will be host to a Veterans RV where members of the Armed Forces can come for mental health assistance, support groups, drop in centres, breakfast clubs and general information and signposting to help with every day life. With a passion for the outdoors, education and needs, Crimsham Farm is pioneering the way forward in positive therapeutic interactions in a safe and disabled friendly environment, providing a space that cannot be found anywhere else in Sussex in which the local community no matter the cause, can come and join in the fun, whether that’s through reduction of social isolation, inclusion in activities or just somewhere to come for a cuppa and a chat, it can be found here on the farm any time of the day, any time of the year! We have a huge range of activities to engage in, all of which can be found here on the website, and the site is expanding and improving all the time, so if you want to get involved, but cant find your niche, drop us a message or pop by for a chat.
