We are a not-for-profit organisation delivering our services across the South West. For over 25-years, CSW whilst uncovering learning and work opportunities for thousands of people, has adapted to meet market demand and changing government policies to develop a broad portfolio of provision. We support businesses, young people and adults through key transition points. We deliver services that build aspiration and turn it into achievement, unlocking potential and developing individuals and organisations. Our team is motivated by the belief that support means more than a shoulder to lean on. We provide each individual with unfaltering attention, empowering them to make a lasting positive change. We aim to provide longer-term support that goes way beyond one-off contact. It is this commitment and dedication that has allowed us to achieve such fantastic results. CSW is contracted by the Local Authorities of Devon County Council, Cornwall Council, Plymouth City Council, Torbay Council and Somerset County Council to assist them in meeting their Statutory Duties under the Education and Skills Act 2008. These duties relate to the provision of services to encourage, enable or assist young people in effectively participating in education or training. To do this we are required to undertake tracking activities and to provide information to the DfE and the Local Authority in respect of personal information; individual characteristics and the current activities of young people aged 13-19.

Rebecca is a qualified Chartered Accountant and hold the status FCCA - Fellow members of the Association Of Chartered Certified Accountancy (ACCA). She started off working in Financial Services industry in the insurance sector, then moved on to wealth, followed by healthcare insurance. One of the major highlights was when she took on the Solvency II project when it was introduced in the financial service industry. She was in charge of setting up and implementing pillar III. To simplify, when reporting your financial statement you have IFRS, Local GAAP - Solvency II is an addition to this in the financial service sector. She decided to broaden her industry knowledge and therefore joined one of the biggest companies in the construction industry as a Lead Hub accountant doing statutory accounts for one of the UK entities and looking after Sweden and Poland ensuring the quality of financial statements at country level. She is a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual who always looks for opportunities to learn and develop herself, she continues to enhance her strong analytical and organisational skills in financial governance and reporting. Rebecca is not only passionate about finances, she is passionate about helping people understand their finances and make better life decisions. She has always been passionate about financial Coaching, and has been coaching friends and family for most of her life. Realising that most people can benefit from financial coaching she decided to start helping people on a part-time basis. She believes that everyone has potential in achieving their financial success. Whatever success mean and it could be building investment, starting a business, spending time with family, travelling There is a big difference in knowing where your money goes, how it works for you than just living your life month by month without deep diving into your Finances. Rebecca is here to challenge, motivate and keeping you accountable so that you can invest in yourself by working on your money beliefs with no judgement. About CVU The Council of Validating Universities is the only body in the UK specialising exclusively in good practice and standards for that aspect of higher education which concerns the validation of programmes of study by universities and colleges (‘awarding institutions’) for delivery by other colleges or organisations (‘partner institutions’). The term ‘collaborative provision’ is often used to describe this form of partnership. Foundation and Remit The CVU was formed in 1982 and registered as a charity in 1996. It became incorporated as a Company Limited by Guarantee on 28th October 2004 (Company Number: 05272761). It is a non-statutory body comprising representatives from higher education institutions and other related organisations in the United Kingdom. Objectives: To advance education, including training and research, in particular by: keeping under review the concerns of degree-awarding institutions within the United Kingdom in relation to collaborative activity identifying and promoting good practice in collaborative validation. The CVU defines ‘collaborative provision’ as the process whereby a degree-awarding body judges one or more programmes of study, courses, or modules offered by another body to be appropriate to lead to a qualification and/or credit of that degree awarding body. The programmes of study may be designed and developed by either the degree-awarding body or the the other body or a partnership of the two. Collaborative validation therefore embraces the accreditation of institutions, the franchising of courses and other forms of academic association.

The Food Partnership was started by local residents in 2003, and our committed team of staff & volunteers deliver a range of food projects which have helped over 15,000 local people learn to cook, grow their own food, eat a healthier diet and waste less. Eating is central to life’s celebrations and memories, and our approach is to use this power of food to bring about change. Much of our work benefits vulnerable adults and people experiencing deprivation, isolation, poor health and other life challenges. Our activities makes lasting changes to habits and behaviours which improve lives. We’re a not-for-profit organisation and we work with a wide range of partners including community organisations, statutory agencies, local businesses and individual residents. Our work has been recognised by independent bodies – most recently awarded ‘Non profit of the year’ 2019 at the Brighton & Hove Business Awards, ‘Team of the Year’ at the Cost Sector Catering Awards 2019 and the ‘Community Benefit Award’ at the 2019 Southeast RICS awards for the build project to create the Community Kitchen. We led Brighton & Hove’s successful submission for ‘Gold Sustainable Food City’ status. We hold the PQASSO Level 2 quality mark, and are proud to be a Living Wage employer.
