E ORIGINS OF TAFISA DATE BACK TO THE 1960S, WITH THE SEMI REGULAR GATHERING OF INTERNATIONAL BUT INDIVIDUAL PERSONALITIES AND LEADERS INTERESTED AND WORKING IN THE FIELD OF SPORT FOR ALL, UNDER THE TITLE ‘TRIM AND FITNESS’. AT THE TIME, SPORT FOR ALL WAS A LITTLE KNOWN CONCEPT. IN 1991, TAFISA (then the Trim And Fitness International Sport for All Association), was officially formed in Bordeaux, France and its statutes registered with the law courts of Frankfurt, Germany. IN 2005, TAFISA became professional with the opening of its office, also in Frankfurt, Germany. Since then, TAFISA’s professional staff has grown to include those in the Frankfurt headquarters, those working in the office of the President, and international consultants. IN 2009, TAFISA officially changed its name to ‘The Association For International Sport for All’ to more accurately describe its activities and its position as the leading international Sport for All association.

Our founder, Chris Clack, has more than 14 years experience coaching sport in SW London schools and children’s activity providers. In 2020 he embarked on a Level 3 personal training qualification to be able to coach individuals and families of all ages. With three sons and a life-long love of sport and fitness, Chris aims to provide an affordable option for training one-to-one, with a partner, with the kids or in a small group. Catering for all ages from 5 to 75. Based near Wandsworth Common Westside, we travel to you for your training session and cover Wandsworth Common, Spencer Park, Clapham Common, Tooting Common, Garrett Green and Wimbledon Park. Or you can choose a space (in SW postcodes). We are also available for PE and sport provision in schools, and before/after school fitness classes for children, staff and parents. In their daily work, Colin, David, Emilia and Stuart had witnessed the power of sport first hand, be it in the incredible stories of women who fought against all odds just to get the chance to play the beautiful game, or in the children kicking a makeshift ball in a slum where the game seemed to wipe off their worries and create the brightest of smiles on their faces. Dream Fields was born out of the hope to spread this joy and grow it into sustainability livelihoods for communities where everyone has the right to play. The Dream Fields concept was born from this search for not merely ‘sport for good’ but ‘sport for sustainable and prosperous communities’. In 2021, co-founder Stuart decided to embark on a journey to better understand the real issues around sport and sustainability. As part of a course with the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership, he presented a general concept of how a sports facility could become the focal point of driving a local economy with a heavy focus on environmental sustainability, ultimately hoping to reach the level of interdependence seen in various symbiosis projects globally. After completing the programme, Stuart shared the concept with former colleagues Colin, David and Emilia. As the concept grew wings, Samy joined the team to bring in his operations and engineering expertise. - Dream Fields was born.
