Hispania Language School was founded in 2020 by owner and professional Spanish and Portuguese tutor Sophie. Sophie holds a BA (Hons) in Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies from the University of Leeds. She also holds a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) from Liverpool Hope University and a Masters in TESOL with Applied Linguistics from UCLan. Sophie is a qualified Modern Languages teacher with very high levels of both Spanish and Portuguese. She has lived in both Spain and Portugal so is very familiar with the two countries and their cultures. Hispania Language School offers a friendly and patient atmosphere. She has over 20 years of professional experience as a jeweller, teacher, and practitioner. From 2013 until 2017, Teresa was a director of the award-winning social enterprise; GAP Learning CIC which created and delivered practical courses to improve wellbeing for children and adults in the Cambridgeshire area. She is a UK Reiki Federation Master Teacher Member, has Qualified Teacher Status and in 1998 graduated in Jewellery and Silversmithing at the progressive Loughborough College of Art & Design
I am María, the teacher behind SPANISH FOR EVERYONE. I am originally from Venezuela in South America. I graduated in Education from University of Brighton, England. I was inspired by children years ago when the mum of my daughter's friend asked me to teach her child Spanish. Since then, I decided to embark on a teaching career. I have 10 years of experience in tutoring Spanish to all ages and levels, and I find it very rewarding. The experience of living in different countries before and learning other languages has been an extraordinary journey and now I feel I can identify myself with the students and the learning process.
