Dexter Moscow

HI I'M DEXTER MOSCOW – A SALES COACH, SPEAKER, AND COMMUNICATION EXPERT Yes, my name is Dexter Moscow! It might sound like a stage name, but I promise—it’s on my birth certificate. While I never entirely fulfilled my childhood dream of becoming a leading man on the silver screen, I’ve spent plenty of time in front of the camera. As a presenter on QVC The Shopping Channel, I sold millions of pounds worth of products for major technology brands and high-street retailers. But my expertise goes beyond being in the spotlight. For 16 years, I worked behind the scenes as QVC’s Chief Guest Trainer, coaching guest presenters, celebrities, and industry experts on how to sell effectively to an invisible audience. BRINGING TV-SELLING TECHNIQUES TO THE BUSINESS WORLD The skills I honed in the fast-paced world of live television—crafting compelling sales messages, engaging audiences, and mastering persuasion—now form the foundation of my sales coaching and communication training in the corporate world. Beyond TV, my career has spanned advertising, real estate, and even a stint at an agency with some rather interesting ‘Mafia connections’! These diverse experiences have given me a unique perspective on influence and persuasion. SPEAKER, AUTHOR, AND COMMUNICATION COACH I speak at corporate events, conferences, and symposiums, covering topics like: 🎤 The Art of Selling and Persuasion 📢 How to Communicate with Impact 📺 Mastering the ‘Televisual Age’ – Selling & Presenting Online My book, Stand Up and Sell, teaches the proven frameworks I’ve used to help people become more confident, compelling, and effective in sales and presentations. And with so much business now happening online, I’m updating it for this new era—Sit Down and Zoom. FUN FACTS & SHOWBIZ STORIES 🎭 Ever had popcorn thrown at you by Julia Roberts? I have—on the set of Notting Hill. 🎭 Been sworn at by Kate Winslet? Check—during Branagh’s Hamlet. 🎭 Worked with Nigella Lawson, Lulu, and other stars? Absolutely. Oh, and as a trained voiceover artist, I’ve even been the ‘Voice of God’ at award ceremonies. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your sales skills, improve your presentations, or learn how to influence and persuade with confidence, I can help. Let’s talk.

Dharma-Zen Tai Chi Studio

Tai Chi can help improve the balance and help reduce the risk of falling. In comparison to other exercises, including weight training, stretching, endurance training, and balance training, Tai Chi was the most beneficial exercise, reducing falls … ( The Journal of the American Medical Association , May 3, 1995, Vol 273, No 17, pp 1341 – 1347). Danny Lai is from Taichung, Taiwan. There, he learned many different kinds of martial arts, including Tai Chi, Hsing-Yi, Ba Gua, Tae Kwon Do and Shaolin. Tai Chi Punch Although each style of Tai Chi Chuan has its peculiar features, the five styles of Tai Chi Chuan something in common, they are: With a calm mind the performer breathes naturally. In peace and ease the performer moves lightly, softly, slowly and equally. The performer moves harmoniously and in a balanced way. The performer moves like a circle–graceful and perfect. The motion is slow and steady and strong strength (yang) and weak strength (yin) can be used in motions mutually. Tai Chi Chuan has attracted attention internationally. It has special functions in promoting health and preventing illness. To help the performer to concentrate their mind and to make their motions coordinate with their breath, music can be played to accompany practice. Flow with the sound of the musical instruments. In following the rhythms of the music, practicing Tai Chi Chuan will relieve stress and benefit health. Crescent Kick (Shuang Pai Chiao) The name Tai Chi comes from the Taoist symbol the West calls yin (black) and yang (white). This Tai Chi symbol represents two balanced opposites: black and white, sky and earth, fire and water, masculine and feminine, moon and sun. Feminine is the black or yin. Masculine is light or yang. The yin side of Tai Chi is like yoga, moving meditation, or chi kung. The yang side is the martial art – the practical application of the movements – using your power. Most often the yang side of Tai Chi is not taught. The healing benefits without the martial application is the yin without the yang. Through the movements of Tai Chi, one can set the mind and body in balance. It is not easy to do. You want to make sure that for every movement in motion (yang) or at rest (yin) your body is moving together. Through Tai Chi training, you can learn more about yourself and you can feel calm and peaceful all the time. It is a kind of martial art, but it is a gentle martial art. It is not for attacking, but has powerful self-defense applications.

Beach Days Single days can meet a specific curriculum or school community need and can be planned with users. Outdoor pursuit challenges in line with the primary PE curriculum. Piano Lessons North London

piano lessons north london

My name is Pippa King and I have been teaching piano ever since I was 16 (I’m now the wrong side of 40). I studied piano to Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Grade 8 standard and also have ABRSM Grade 7 Musicianship, the highest Musicianship Grade at the time I sat it. I also have Grade 7 Recorder, Grade 5 Oboe both ABRSM qualifications and A Level Music. I have recently made the move from sunny Hull in Yorkshire to North London. (I am now based in N6, in between Crouch End and Highgate Village, very different to Hull and very nice too). I left some great pupils behind but am very much looking forward to teaching in London and already have a timetable that is filling up with equally great students, some being adults but mostly school students – there is never a wrong age and always a right age to start playing the piano! My emphasis is absolutely that learning music and piano should be fun, enjoyable and rewarding. Students learn at their own speed and are able to explore areas of music that interest them as well as learning a sound grounding in past and modern popular piano music and good rudiments. I worked for Hull Music Service teaching piano and keyboard where I also supported Music GCSE students from 2002 to 2007, when I left to concentrate on my private teaching practice. I have a very high success rate with practical, theory and musicianship exams though sitting exams is not compulsory. See FAQs for more info. I am a registered teacher with the ABRSM, a member of the Musicians Union and have an Enhanced Certificate to work with children from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB check, now a DBS check). I also played keyboard for Hessle Ceilidh Band for over 10 years who were based in East Yorkshire – moving to London makes this now just about impossible (!) – and I worked in a Hull high school from 2016-2018, teaching piano/keyboard to support the V-Cert course there. Previously I have directed a recorder group entering music festivals, I played oboe with the Sheffield Philharmonic Orchestra and I have accompanied instrumental exams and music festivals. I teach on Mondays to Fridays from 3.30pm until about 7pm and on a Saturday. I charge £15 for half and hour/£30 for an hour… See FAQS for more info. I can truly say I love passing on my passion for music. I want my pupils to be musically curious, inspired, interested and eager – to enjoy music, to be musicians and accomplished pianists. As with anything regular practice is essential but let’s make learning fun! Everyone learns at a different speed and in a different way, enjoying different aspects of music – this is what makes my job so very interesting.

No, we provide the flexibility and patience to avoid student frustration. We teach coping skills so students can be productive, happy participants in their education. We work closely with parents and districts, so communication is always maintained, and students can transition back to the district smoothly. Our tuition is lower, so please take advantage of the following services we have to offer: Counseling, Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Adaptive PE, Character Education, Behavioralist, Full-time school and psychiatric nurse, Neuro-sensory Motor Therapy, Puppy Therapy, Computer and Language classes, Social Clubs, Pre-K through Eighth Grades, and full-day ESY. The Education Academy can not wait to meet you and your student to introduce you to all the services we have to offer your district student and their family. The buzz words this year for Education seem to be SEL (Social Emotional Learning). Here at The Education Academy SEL has always been at the forefront of all our academics and daily activities, especially for our students. Students have to be in a good place emotionally to receive their academics and they need to learn the skills necessary to manage their emotions and feelings throughout the day to maintain their educational stability. Our students develop good self-esteem and work together with their peers to spread its benefits not only throughout our school building but in their communities. The Education Academy recognizes its responsibility to provide opportunities to the children we serve which will enable them to experience academic success as well as social and emotional growth. Setting Our educational program is offered in a modern facility. The school enjoys both a convenience location and the tranquility of being adjecent to a quiet natural wildlife preserve. Our playground and picnic area are surrounded by trees and are located directly behind our school. Caring Faculty The Education Academy is committed to provide a quality program taught by caring, talented teachers. The dedicated faculty and staff receives the support and encouragement to continue to grow professionally. We are strong believers that teachers can and do make a difference. Behavior Management The faculty of The Education Academy recognizes the need to help children under our care achieve social and emotional growth. In striving to attain that goal, a variety of educationally sound and effective behavior modification techniques are employed. Programs & Services The Education Academy is a private school created to address the needs of elementary school children who are experiencing difficulties within a public school setting. These difficulties include, but are not limited to, social skills integration, attention deficit, anxiety disorders, and autistic spectrum disorders. Each child is enrolled by the sending district’s child study team with parental approval and support. Educational programs are available for grades Pre-K to 8. All classes are self-contained and are designed to maximize learning opportunities for special children. The program is highly structured and equal emphasis is placed on academics and social growth. An extended school year (summer program) is also offered.

Shamanism is a way of life of our ancestors understand the connection to our Ancestors and spirits of nature that exist outside and inside us. Shamanism is the oldest spiritual path on the planet, it is in our roots. Wherever we live, all dimensions are real and everything in our world has a spirit, a life force. Walking this path deepens our communication with our Earth Mother and all that is. Within shamanism there are time tested healing practices which can guide our way to attaining balance and connection in the life journey that we are walking - "Rites of Passage" and "Handfasting" to help you to pass into the new phases of your life and just some of the ceremonies that can help you find your place or help you to embrace a new phase in your life. Connecting with creation can make us more balanced, and therefore healthier in mind, body and spirit. Shamanic journeying and life-energy restoral: the foundation of shamanic healing is the use and connection to the drum. The steady heartbeat of the drum carries us to the other worlds, to other realities. It is on this journey that the shaman encounters the healing powers, connects with the life force and can help to facilitate the healing process of mind body and spirit. With the use of the shaman's horse (the drum) a level of awareness can be entered at will, in which inner, spiritual realities can be perceived and experienced. A shaman journeys into the landscape of the person they are journeying for, always with the right intent and with their permission to determine what help is needed. Sometimes they can bring back a lost fragment and restore it to the individual, providing the person with the opportunity to integrate it within the totality of their being. They can also bring power allies back with them to help aid the healing process. During our life we can have traumatic events. These events can cause us to become out of balance. We bury them deeply within us and hold onto them. We send an aspect of our self into hiding. Within the journey we can seek out and find these fragments, return them. The shamanic journey is a powerful one. With experience one can travel to their own landscapes, look for their power animals, seek guidance, knowledge and interact with non-ordinary reality. Drum healing & drum washing: the drum is used like a scanner, and one is able to tune into the energy of the drum as it is passed over the person's body. It shows us the weakness of certain points throughout the body. Drum washing is a wonderful cleansing of the body. With the vibration of the drum the sound waves penetrate the aura and the physical body to bring about healing. It is a refreshing and invigorating experience. Science has proven that a constant, rhythmical drum beat can boost the immune system and relieve stress and tension within the body. Shamanic divination: divination opens doors, it is a guide to finding ones own answers. We all have the answers to the questions we seek within our own selves. Sometimes, however, we feel a need for guidance from someone else. Divination will help to show you to the door, but you must walk through it. Gaining knowledge and wisdom comes from our own experience.
