I’m Simon Michaels. I combine 30 years experience of meditation and mindfulness practice, with being a social entrepreneur and business advisor. Whilst my training and coaching is entirely secular, my experience of meditation comes from a deep and on-going practice in the Buddhist contemplative tradition. I have lay ordination as Upasaka Tsultrim Wangpo in the Namgyal lineage. This ancient wisdom is the foundation for effective mindfulness practice, where sound ethical values underpin the techniques and tools. My long experience in meditation, and on-going practice and retreat attendance, ensures that I stay in tune with 2500 years of teaching, that I channel when working with you. In parallel, I have been a very successful social entrepreneur for the last 20 years, applying the boundless energy that comes from being in touch with one's true self. This has included setting up seven profitable enterprises with multiple six-figure turnovers. I have formal qualifications in business support, coaching, and mindfulness teaching. I’m a member of the International Stress Management Association and have a Mental Health First Aid certificate, and adhere to the code of practice for mindfulness-based trainers. I’m an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a director of several successful ethical companies, and have advised businesses, government agencies, third sector organisations and local authorities, as well as training and coaching hundreds of individuals.

This is where Nutrition Science meets creativity. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Medicine, a background in education, a creative flare and a strong desire to motivate human connection. These I blend in order to offer sound nutritional knowledge and motivation to push forward with healthy living and being. I offer a variety of nutrition based services including 1-1 consultations, Functional Medicine testing, health workshops, 'Cleanse' courses, lectures, menu creation, product reviews and articles on nutrition, food and lifestyle. I also work as a 1-1 nutritionist for the wonderful company’ Health Path’. There is a common aim - to inspire better mental and physical health in whatever way this is best achieved. Located in West Sussex, I work in London, Brighton and surrounding areas. My days are spent nourishing, advising, educating and supporting clients on obtaining healthier and happier lifestyles. Annually, I take clients abroad to ‘cleanse’ body and soul. One of my cleanse locations is Gozo, a rustic island off Malta. This is the perfect location for taking time out in a supported and empowering environment. In 2022, I worked with the Wild View Retreat team in Portugal on a juice fast week of health rejuvenation. It was wonderful. I am thrilled to be joining them again for 4 weeks of cleansing in 2023.

Established in the village of Hartley Wintney, Hampshire, Hartley Arts Group (HAG) is now celebrating its 47th year. Since its formation in 1975, HAG’s membership list has been growing steadily, most of them living in and around the Hartley Wintney area. Though we also have members in Wales, France, Australia and New Zealand! In November of 2010 the old Hartley Arts Group unincorporated association dissolved and became Hartley Arts Group, a private charitable company, Company No. 7214087 and Charity No. 1136586. What do we do? HAG exists to provide something for amateur dramatists and musicians to get their teeth into. But that doesn’t just include acting and musical performance. HAG’s members encompass a variety of skills across the board to be able to produce high-quality and rewarding amateur productions, including directing, acting, singing, stage-managing, catering, carpentry, publicity, lighting, sound, painting, cleaning and anything else needed to put on a good performance. However, the overriding theme of it all is FUN! Many people come along to be part of the social atmosphere of HAG – to get away from the everyday things they do at home and join in with the activities. Alternatively, some just prefer to come and see our productions. You don’t need to be able to sing – or dance – or act – or wield a paintbrush! Living close enough to come to rehearsals should do it!

Sarah Harris and Rick Johnstone, qualified school teachers and ASA swimming teacher trainers, have created a swim tuition programme designed to elicit best results from swimmers on an ongoing basis, by focusing on such important concepts as: MOTIVATION ENJOYMENT EXCITEMENT PROGRESS POSITIVITY SUCCESS We teach small groups of children, from complete beginners to advanced swimmers on the verge of competitive training. Our youngest performers are 2 years old, who are joined in the pool by their parent / carer. Of course safety is a paramount consideration in everything we do. Our programme comprises of 8 attainment levels, with clearly defined criteria for progress from one stage to the next. We promote happiness and enjoyment in swimming and cultivate a success-filled environment for all, at every level throughout the programme. Highly Progressive Programme We have developed an educationally sound, logical and progressive swim programme for our swimmers. Our mission to excite and delight both swimmers and their parents does not distract us from the key issue of how to achieve the best outcomes. Our methodology utilises a range of positive educational delivery modules, including accelerated learning techniques.
