We are delighted to be offering our singing groups once again this year with our partner the National Youth Choir of Scotland. Classes are available for 10 weeks starting after the Feb holiday. There are two age groups (P3-4 and P5-7) and there’s one of each in the six cluster areas in East Lothian.

Erin Whyte (founder and teacher) – I started my love of music at a young age and began classical training from the age of 14. After leaving school I went on to study popular singing at Jewel and Esk College on their HND Music course. During these 2 years I sang in bands and in choirs and my passion for performing was born. From here I went on to focus on my classical voice at Edinburgh Napier University where I studied on their BMus (hons) course for 4 years. I gained a lot of experience singing solo and in small groups which really helped build my self-confidence. I have worked with children for over 16 years, starting out shadowing a music teacher in primary schools. This is where I found my love for teaching music to young children. Knowing I wanted to work with children I left retail and started working at Newtongrange After School Club. From here I began working as a Learning Assistant at Stockbridge Primary School and worked at their After School Club. Following the birth of my son in 2014 I gave up work to be a full time Mum. With lots more free time I could take him to classes for little ones where I met some of my best friends, and Charlie did too. I found out how invaluable these classes were for both child and carer and realised that this was the environment I wanted to work in. In 2015 I became a teacher for Monkey Music. Here I learnt how to really work with babies and toddlers and grow relationships with them and their carers. My dream for a long time has been to combine my passions for singing, music and working with young children. With the arrival of our daughter Katie at the start of 2017 I am finally back to work and realising that dream. I think it’s highly important to have affordable and educational classes for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers in and around local areas, not only for the little ones to make friends, but for the adults to meet people from the community too. Music is a great tool to bring people together and also encourages self-confidence which is an important factor in a young person’s life.n

We achieve this by providing a space for the community to nurture their physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Situated in the heart of Edinburgh’s West End, the Centre is accommodated in the splendid surroundings of an elegant Victorian town house. We offer a variety of experiences in the form of workshops, classes, talks, therapies and private sittings. Recently we have been delivering a programme of online events which have attracted people from all around the world.

Juniper Green Tots is a small, family orientated nursery based in Juniper Green, Edinburgh. We offer full and part time places for children aged between 6 months and 5 years. We are governed by the Care Commission, and our staff have been specifically chosen for their commitment to providing quality care for each individual child in our setting. Each member of our team has a recognised childcare qualification. Our staff offer a secure, warm atmosphere where your child can grow and flourish. Each child has a special carer to ensure the care they receive during their time at nursery is tailored to their individual needs. A balance of fun activities including brain gym classes, singing, story time, painting, sticking, baking, construction, sand play, water play and much, much more is provided to encourage and stimulate all aspects of development. Juniper Green Tots is divided into two play areas to accommodate the wide development stage of 0-30 months - our busy messy area where toddlers can enjoy and investigate a wide range of play experiences and a quieter area where our babies can explore and discover in a much calmer atmosphere. We also have a secure back garden which is specifically designed to provide all the facilities your child will need to encourage and stimulate all aspects of cognitive, physical, emotional and social development in a safe, secure environment. Edinburgh School of Music is an independent music school based in Edinburgh city centre. We are a team of highly experienced, enthusiastic and professional teachers who provide music lessons in a wide range of instruments. Our goal at ESM is to bring the love of music into all our student's lives in a fun and enjoyable way as well as providing all the necessary skills to pass exams, perform with confidence and compose music and songs. We are very proud to maintain a 100% pass rate in all our student's instrumental and vocal music exams making us Edinburgh's favourite music school for private music lessons. One - to - one tuition Lessons are available for a range of instruments including voice, piano, guitar, violin, viola, cello, saxophone, clarinet, flute, recorder and drums. We offer one to one private lessons in our studio in Meadowbank or online lessons. Groups We offer a range of music group activities including our Baby music groups (for ages 0-5), youth singing groups, performance coaching workshops and summer school music groups. Please contact us to find out the groups that are currently available. Concerts At ESM we believe that learning to make incredible music is just not as rewarding if you don’t share it with others. We provide monthly showcases at Edinburgh's Jazz Bar in addition to end of term concerts. This gives our students plenty of opportunities to showcase their progress and develops our pupils into confident performers. Unfortunately, due to current restrictions surrounding concerts, we are unable to host any concerts at this time.

I am a Healer from a generation of healers in my family, a Holistic Therapist, a Shaman and an Essenian Therapist. I am also an Artist and a Writer. I am a woman committed to love, life, and the natural world, the same world we will leave to our children. I thrive on writing, singing, dancing, listening to music. I restore my energy balance in Nature, in quiet and peaceful environments. Forests fascinate me with their mysteries, sounds, movements, secrets, and all Nature’s beings living there and communicating together. It is a resourcing and healing place for me. Jesus and Mother Mary guide me since my childhood even though I’ve become aware of that much later in my life. It is, therefore quite natural that they are both very present in the therapies I offer. Even though I am very close to the Christic and Mother Mary energies, my work has nothing religious. I am not part of any religion, nor am I attached to any spiritual movement or current, which allows me to be free in my choices to serve the Divine Source, only the Divine Source. This Divine Source in who I believe, the Divine Source Mother&Father God and I recognize the Divine Source in everything, in every being, spirit, shape, life. I see the Divine Source in You, in Nature, in the Universe, in Me, in All. I like to say: “All is One, One is All, All is in One, One is in All”. During therapies sessions I offer, I listen to you with all my love, heart, and availability in respect of your free will. The Divine Source guides me to achieve the energetic harmonization you need. This can be Essenian therapy, shamanic therapy, reiki therapy. I can use crystals, healing musical instruments and channelled songs to accompany the session. Heavenly spirits, guides of light, and spirits of Nature might Join the session, especially those of the totem animals that accompany me daily. I don’t know in advance. However, they always manifest themselves with the greatest love, and they are always a gift to you and me. The session of energetic harmonization will allow you to set out the self-healing process within yourself, the process we all have within us. Sometimes, if I am allowed, I use the gift of magnetism with hands given to me by the Source to ease or even remove pain. I am the channel through which the Divine Source passes to bring you what you need, in the present moment, you are your own healer.

The merger was approved by the Scottish Ministers, and came into force on 1 October 2012. Edinburgh College values it’s rich history, especially those of the many legacy colleges that have come together over the years to better serve the learners of the Edinburgh and Lothian’s region.
