Peat Oberon is an artist blacksmith based at a forge in the grounds of Preston Hall Museum near Stockton-on-Tees in the North-East of England. He originally trained as a craft teacher and taught various subjects including crafts and technical drawing in schools and sixth form college for 15 years before becoming a full-time blacksmith in 1980. Since then he has earned his living and an esteemed world reputation producing a wealth of architectural, sculptural and decorative ironwork. Peat began teaching the craft of blacksmithing in 1990, combining his skills as an artist, craftsman and teacher with his life-long passion for working with metal. At his School of Blacksmithing he delivers quality courses where his students enjoy the expert tuition of a master blacksmith.

Lisa de Rijk (Wake) has a 20+ year track record of working in the public, private and third sector as a Coach, Change Management Consultant, Facilitator, Trainer and Supervisor. Author of Neurolinguistic Psychotherapy: A Postmodern Perspective; The Role of Brief Therapies in Attachment Disorder; and NLP Principles in Practice, and lead editor for The Clinical Effectiveness of Neurolinguistic Programming. With a PhD in Psychology from Surrey University, Lisa is also accredited by the UKCP as a neurolinguistic psychotherapist and is a Master Trainer of NLP. Lisa has served as Chair and Vice Chair of UKCP and in 2013, Lisa was made an Honorary Fellow of UKCP. Lisa is advisor to Association of NLP and European Director for Research and Development for the NLP Research and Recognition Project.

Established in 2015, Anvesaka Yoga & Aerial is a leading provider of Aerial Yoga classes in the North East of England. Amy discovered yoga after a very premature birth and prolonged hospital stay of her eldest child, her yoga practice provided the necessary space and tranquillity to get through the anxious early years. Following the birth of her second child and subsequent redundancy, Amy decided to retrain as a yoga teacher, to try to bring the joy and peace that yoga has brought her to as many people as possible. Our foray into aerial began in 2015, when Amy tried her first aerial yoga class, and immediately went home to find out the requirements for teacher training! A few hours later her course was booked. From here Anvesaka Yoga & Aerial was born. Anvesaka Yoga & Aerial developed from this modest foundation of one person on Teesside to a network of more than 20 teachers covering the North East of England by early 2020. Our range of classes have grown as well, adding in more variety of aerial equipment styles over the years to offer a full range of classes to everyone looking to elevate their fitness practice, as well as yoga for schools, corporate settings and festivals. I have a well-founded knowledge of the challenges and difficulties that arise, especially in regard to medical emergencies, when living in rural or remote regions of Victoria. Where loss of life or limb can occur within minutes; when help might be hours away and how important, being able to confidently apply first aid, can be in saving someone’s life. My passion is providing practical training that is accessible, enjoyable and which leaves the participant feeling confident to manage first aid situations that they may come across. A Registered Nurse (RN) with 18 years’ experience including a post graduate degree in Emergency Nursing which I practiced for 9 years and clinical education. To maintain my Nursing skills and currency, I work in General Practice as an RN Nurse Immuniser and am an Australian College of Critical Care Nurse (ACCCN) Advanced Life Support educator. Over the past 2 years I have been a director and active training provider of a local First Aid & Training business founded and focused on providing First Aid training and tailored nursing education programs throughout Victoria.

I am Dorothea Scales. I have founded Fidas Consent Training because I want to share my knowledge and experience of dealing with sexual assaults and rapes which I gained during my career as a Detective Sergeant. I have combined my passion for safeguarding with my enthusiasm for training – having an MA in education and being a qualified teacher gave me the skills set to develop and deliver my courses. Since leaving the Police in October 2021, I have already delivered to hundreds of students, pupils and their teachers, to Designated Safeguarding Leaders and University students, colleges, youth organisations, charities, and apprentices   I have combined my expertise as an ex-Detective Sergeant in Safeguarding and my experience as a teacher, to develop my completely unique consent workshops, presentations and now a cost effective eLearning package . I have trained Detectives, Police cadets and Police Special constables and probationers. I have developed courses for Police officers in dealing sensitively with victims of rape and confronting myths and misconceptions. I have lead  leading a Pilot project for Durham County Council in delivering consent workshops to local secondary schools.   Fidas Consent Training is about sharing my passion for safeguarding the truly vulnerable and giving every person an informed choice about consent.   As a qualified, experienced, and passionate safeguarding specialist, I have 16 years’ experience as a Police Officer, protecting the rights of children, young people, and adults. I have always been driven by making a positive difference to the vulnerable. During my time in education and the Police, I have developed additional skills in risk management, people leadership and managing the most complex investigations which demand a sensitive and compassionate response. Victim focused and people centred in my work, I championed change in the police and built strong alliances with partner organisations As a Detective Sergeant within the Safeguarding unit I dealt with victims and suspects of rape and sexual assaults on a daily basis, often from report to court. I know and understand all the devastating consequences of not understanding or ignoring consent and want to share my experience with young people for a better future. I am a qualified Teacher and Safeguarding instructor committed to sharing my experience and expertise through my training courses.
