Perret Associates is a compact team of ten people specialized in, market analysis and research, modelling, production of reports and publishing, consultancy. In addition to the people mentioned below, Perret Associates is also working with a vast network of independent consultants or consultancies worldwide. Guillaume Perret is the founder and director of the company. Prior to this, Guillaume developed from scratch the coal and freight desk of the German utility RWE Trading in London (2000-05). Between 1995 and 2000 Mr Perret traded grains and chartered physical vessels at the international trading house Louis Dreyfus Negoce in Paris. He has an MBA from the London Business School and an engineering diploma in biology from a French Engineering School. Ozgur Keskin has been working with Perret Associates since 2010, mainly on analytical and modelling projects. Ozgur holds an engineering Masters degree from Cambridge University and an MBA from London Business School. He has worked with many Blue Chip clients globally on key projects as part of management consulting teams. Whilst at Morgan Stanley he worked on the quantitative research desk within their Commodities business unit developing specialised models and analytical tools for traders and sales people. Dariusz Sedzicki has been working as an analyst with Perret Associates since 2010. Dariusz is mainly involved in the production of our various market reports and analysis as well as data gathering. We are a cookery school for disabled adults 18 plus. At StedyChefs we teach all about the joy and fun to be had whilst cooking ,not only helping improve life skills but building self confidence and making friends along the way. Our whole building is covered in fun graffiti, our chefs wear a full uniform and different coloured bandanas making their time here as fun as possible. We also teach other activities such as art and music, the Beatles actually played in our building in 1961. Our chefs cook everything from scratch and not only this, they grow their own vegetables in our outside space as well as doing outside cooking in warmer months. Our chefs do food related trips also once every six weeks. Some of our chefs volunteer and in the past have worked in local cafes and football stadiums. Our youngest student is 18 and our eldest is 63 years old. The food our chefs create on a daily basis can only be described as phenomenal. We are also part of the International Cookery School Association (School Of Excellence) We also teach our students health and safety in the kitchen. We recently had Merseyside Fire Brigade in our centre to deliver a lesson on hazards that may occur in a kitchen and how to handle them safely. Merseyside Police have also attended our centre to deliver on a lesson on how to stay safe when using the internet. In January of this year, seven of our students gained their Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene In The Kitchen qualification. It took us over a year of visually and verbally training our students in preparation for their test. As they passed, they are now able to legally work in a professional kitchen environment. One of the students is now actively looking for paid work in the catering sector using his newly acquired qualification. We have also partnered with The Trussell Trust and are now running a food bank from or building with the help of our wonderful students.

Community Motors CIC was a social enterprise, set up in 2014 by Elaine and Justin Cooper as a Community Interest Company, to meet two specific aims: To provide excellent motor vehicle services to the local community and to provide opportunities for young and disadvantaged people to train in useful vocational skills, in particular motor vehicle mechanics. We saw and wanted to address the career challenges of young people who are not ‘academic’, are probably not suited for University, and who are currently not well served by an education system which is primarily measured by – and hence values - academic results over practical and personal development. Therefore, starting from an empty industrial unit, and joined by Mark and Kevin, our Garage and Training Managers, we built an enterprise from scratch which aimed to deliver practical and ethical excellence in all we did. We provided clear and consistent services and advice to our customers and alongside that offered young people the chance to gain real-world experience and accredited training in a professional working environment, working and learning alongside motivated, talented motor vehicle technicians, many of whom had overcome their own struggles when growing up. We worked hard to run and build the organisation as well as we could, building relationships with local schools, colleges and pupil referral units, as well as many, many members of the community around us, who came to trust us with the safety and reliability of their vehicles. We won both local and national awards for the quality of our enterprise, and many positive reviews and testimonials from happy customers and trainees.

David's story The Fat Fish team has developed over 100 mobile apps in the last ten years, including the Tiny Sports franchise, which has had over four million downloads. How did you get started in the gaming industry? Initially via my degree and coming up with website ideas to try and make money. Just before we graduated in 2004, two classmates and I decided we wanted to set up a software business, Bright AI. We had some ideas for products and reached out to our network to find people that were looking to outsource software development projects. We won our first project a month later. Bright AI started mobile application development in 2005, producing branded football content such as wallpapers, games and animations. We developed and published the smash hit utility app My Secret Folder in 2011, generating over £1million in revenue and reaching the top five paid charts in the UK and US. This allowed us to develop more of our own intellectual property. We set up mobile development studio Fat Fish Digital in 2013, of which I am founder and managing director. What's been the biggest challenge in your career so far and how did you overcome it? There have been two big challenges in my career to date: 1. Picking up the business skills required, such as planning, cash flow and managing staff. The technical skills we picked up on our degree were second to none, but we had to learn everything else from scratch. 2. Moving away from production to management. My experience and passion lay in working on projects, so being able to delegate to others and focus on the business strategy and management was difficult. What's the most surprising thing you've encountered in your industry? Probably the biggest learning curve was learning how to run a business. In the early days of the app store it was very much like the Wild West, with people trying different tactics to get an upper hand. I would say we saw some surprising things there!

Retune was founded by Tom Ryder. Tom is a musician and journalist, and has a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. He was hospitalised for poor mental health multiple times during his late teens and early twenties, which eventually forced him to withdraw from university and begin again from scratch. While in hospital, Tom noticed that patients were finding creative outlets to cope with their predicament. These outlets included drawing, painting, writing poetry, dancing, singing and cooking. Tom wrote songs and, despite those dark times, he realised creativity’s tremendous potential to improve mental health; it is crucial to have an outlet for feelings and emotions. A few years later, Tom started hosting live gigs. He also ran workshops in schools, connecting with young people who were experiencing mental struggles. In 2018, Retune started to take shape: in addition to live shows and schools, Tom now visited prisons and hospitals, and produced online content. Tom’s cousin Kathryn Bailey – a photographer, videographer and all-round creative – joined the project in 2019. As well as sharing Tom’s view that creative outlets are powerful tools for mental wellbeing, Kathryn had a personal attachment to Retune's mission... When Tom was first admitted to hospital, 11-year-old Kathryn was shielded from the truth, as she was considered ‘too young’ to know what was going on. Being involved with Retune allows her to be part of a cause that is close to her heart, especially as Retune’s workshops discuss mental wellbeing with all ages, from primary school pupils to adults. Open conversations around wellbeing are more commonplace nowadays, but there is still a long road ahead. Through its workshops and live shows, Retune is creating a community based around mental wellbeing, underpinned by creativity. When we retune something, such as a musical instrument or a radio, we make small adjustments in order to achieve harmony, clarity and balance. Retune believes that the same theory can be applied to mental health. Harnessing creative outlets that engage the imagination, and following the principles of the SCALES model, can help all of us to make small adjustments. As a result, our mental wellbeing will be more in tune.

Sarah specialises in providing bespoke hand carved items ranging from lettering and relief decoration to producing architectural details such as corbel brackets and ceiling roses. By adding hand carved decoration, items that are otherwise plain and ordinary are transformed into unique pieces that are personal to the owner. This applies just as much to everyday objects such as chopping boards as to more elaborate ornamental features to decorate the home. Wood carving is incredibly versatile and Sarah can either work from existing designs you may have seen or create a completely new piece for you. As well as producing the initial carved work Sarah can offer a variety of finishes including oil and water gilding using genuine Gold and Silver leaf. Sarah's interest in traditional crafts began whilst studying for A Levels in Art & History of Art at the Royal Latin School, Buckinghamshire. Through understanding how the country's great buildings were built and furnished, along with the reasoning behind their design, she developed an even greater respect for their creators and understood why it is important to maintain these buildings for future generations. From Buckingham she moved to Portsmouth to study a degree in Restoration and Decorative Studies at Portsmouth University. Within her first year she had grasped the basics in a variety of traditional decorative techniques including faux finishing, gilding and scagliola. In her final two years she decided to focus her studies on woodcarving and plasterwork- both in a restorative sense and in creating new designs using traditional materials and methods. During her time at University she was provided with the opportunity to hone her skills in both woodcarving and plasterwork. Her projects included 3-coat lime plastering, using the lime plaster she'd made from scratch using traditional recipes. She researched the historic and almost extinct technique of freehand stucco work, creating her own designs and experimenting with various recipes, including those that were used in the restoration of Uppark in Hampshire. Thankfully all that hard work paid off and she graduated with a 1st Class Honours. Sadly, her year was the last to complete this course as the University decided to end it in back in 2008. From Hampshire she was on the move again, this time to Shropshire where she began work with a heritage company. Here she built upon her project managing skills and learnt more about the structural side of building restoration, particularly timber framed buildings. Whilst she enjoyed her time in Shropshire, she decided that she was much happier in her workshop among the sawdust and plaster, which leads her to her current home back in West Sussex.
