Just another WordPress siteIn 2003 Laura & George Molloy set up Swimbabes, a company dedicated to teaching babies to swim. It was a decision they made after joining Aquababies in Manchester with their son Joshua were the benefits for both Josh and Mum and Dad where clear to see. In fact Laura & George loved the swimming lessons so much that they both decided to train as baby swim instructors and in 2003 took the leap and set up Swimbabes just after the birth of their second child, Eve. Laura states: “Giving up a job that I had done for years was scary but I knew I needed to make changes in my life… Swimming had been so rewarding for Joshua I decided to challenge myself and set up my own business, and I am so glad I did”. In October 2003 Swimbabes ran their first sessions at the Trinity Hydro pool in Huddersfield with just 11 little swimmers, extending later that year to run classes in Sheffield too with over 150 swimmers by the following summer. The business continued to grow and in 2005 opened the Swimbabes shop to sell lots of the items that were used in the lessons. In 2007 Swimbabes looked to extend its team with our Office Managers joining and continued to extend Swimbabes, adding our Swimstars programme in 2014. Swimbabes now operate across Yorkshire and North Derbyshire with over 1800 little swimmers attending classes each week.

Established in 1987, the British School of Ballooning is a family owned business operating many balloons throughout Southern England. We employ only the finest pilots, some with over 3000 hours flying experience, and many trained within the company, so as to make each and every balloon flight as safe and special as possible.

We work together and individually, creating various works from leaded light panels to beautiful lampworked jewellery. Our work is mainly commission based but as you will see from our online shop we also create many other exciting glass pieces. We are currently based at our studio near Winchester, supplying galleries in and around the surrounding area.

The ECEC Chinese school has a team of highly qualified teachers. Our teachers are all experts in overseas Chinese teaching. They are experienced in teaching at Chinese schools and local state / private schools. Four of them have been awarded with the title of ‘UK outstanding Chinese language teachers’, two of them are qualified with Scottish teacher credentials, and three teachers are currently working in local mainstream schools.

Training shows how children can learn to understand the deep structure of different problem-solving tasks and how children can make connections between different problem-solving experiences. Using the I See Maths resources, teachers can immerse children in a wide range of exciting, thought-provoking challenges. NCETM-accredited training events, led by Gareth Metcalfe, give teachers the knowledge, skills and resources to deepen and personalise the mathematics curriculum. Training focuses on showing concepts visually, breaking learning down into small, purposefully sequenced steps and providing children with extended, challenging learning experiences. Gareth has been teaching since 2004 and is a former Assistant Headteacher. Currently he is working in a range of schools, teaching classes from Nursery-Y6, helping schools to put reasoning and problem-solving at the heart of learning. I See Maths enables children to be intellectually and emotionally engaged by mathematics. We hope that I See Maths helps you to build an effective, inspiring maths curriculum.
