Fran Carpenter is the Managing Director of Frantic Productions Ltd. Frantic was formed in 1998. A prolific writer of school music resources and Christmas nativity plays and musicals, Fran has more than 20 years' experience of teaching early years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 as a music co-ordinator and specialist class music teacher. Fran's catalogue of school musicals and music education resources is growing all the time, and her nativity plays and musical productions have been performed worldwide in thousands of primary schools. Fran also worked for several years in school television and educational video production. She worked as a member of the producer's team on a series of BBC's Look and Read and on a TEFL video for Pearson Education, and was a co-writer of the accompanying teachers' resource packs. She is a member of the Orff Society UK and much of her music for children is inspired by the creative Orff approach to music education. In addition to her writing work, Fran runs music workshops in nurseries and schools and CPD teacher training courses for music hubs and teacher training colleges. These courses are highly regarded and provide teachers and students with a whole host of ideas for creative music making with early years and primary children. Inova has been running since 2001 and provides consultancy services, training and coaching programmes in the areas of entrepreneurship, employability, career development and wellbeing, with a focus on diversity and equal opportunities. CURVE DANCE, previously known as Footloose School of Dance in Leeming & Easingwold has been established for ten successful years. With a new name comes new, modern and fresh classes that not just provide pupils with great exercise but engage them creatively. We strongly believe Dance can educate, improve confidence, social interaction but above all its great fun! Curve Dance love seeing a pupil’s progression not just in their dance ability but in their ability to think creatively and work within a team. We see on a daily basis how allowing pupils to express themselves through movement can assist them in other areas of their life and give them the confidence to think outside the box. Curve Dance work on numerous performances throughout the year, help our pupils achieve their goals and improve their self-confidence. Curve Dance’s principal Kelly has been teaching for ten years, teaching dance to various youth groups, performing arts schools, plus she has choreographed numerous dance performances. From a young age Kelly was a keen dancer and gained numerous grades in Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Her love for performing and being on a stage was apparent early on. She performed in local events, Pantomimes and at Disney Land Paris. Kelly began her professional training at Newcastle Colleges Performance Academy and completed a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance. Throughout her three years at Newcastle she gained numerous opportunities to further her knowledge of the arts industry. Her ambition to teach and her interest in choreography grew and after leaving University she decided to become a Freelance Artist. Kelly currently works for North Yorkshire County Council and York City Council providing workshops and choreographing various dance pieces for performances and festivals. As well as running Curve Dance, Kelly currently works in numerous local schools and for North Yorkshire County Council providing creative workshops and choreographing dance pieces for performances. In addition she has been the Pantomime Choreographer at The Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond for six years. After several years working freelance, gaining experience of working within the community and project managing large scale dance events. Kelly has the experience and is very ambitious to provide pupils with a captivating insight in to the dance world and plans to incorporate numerous vibrant innovative performance opportunities.

Field Breaks started out in the Autumn of 2007 to provide a selection of professionally tutored illustration workshops in the Peak District. This followed the demise of similar workshops in the area and filled a much needed gap for people wanting short affordable art breaks in botanical illustration and landscape painting. Such was the demand for this provision that over the following years the programme has been extended to include a greater selection of courses and venues, along with a growing number of specialist professional tutors. 2020 and the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic saw great challenges to all small businesses, including Field Breaks, with courses rescheduled for safer times. This was an opportunity however for founder member Sue to think seriously about her achievements, goals and ambitions, and after some deliberation decided to pass the business on to fellow artist Hazel. Along with many happy memories of running Field Breaks, Sue is enjoying the opportunity to start new projects. With the handover, Hazel decided to revitalise the old website - "I'm re-dressing the shop window while it's quiet!" Following suggestions from her peers, this also gave her the opportunity to re-think and amend the name from "Field Breaks" to "Field Breaks Art", which lends more focus under the artwork umbrella. We hope you like it! After the extended lockdown, Hazel added a new range of on-line mini workshops in the Spring of 2021, which were a lovely way to keep connected with other artists and share ideas. From July 2021 we were once again able to offer in-person workshops so the focus was to deliver quality tutor-led courses while maintaining a level of safety, including reduced class numbers to enable social distancing. In 2022 we are pleased to be able to offer another full programme of workshops in drawing, painting, botanical illustration, natural history, landscape, abstract, and mixed media including textiles and craft workshops in batik, jewellery making, lacemaking and felting. The Natural Animal Centre provides educational courses on animal behaviour, training and management. The NAC courses have been running since 1999 and have trained many animal behaviourists who have gone on to build successful careers in behaviour and training. The NAC is run by a team of industry experts and is an approved UKRS and ABTC provider, offering the highest standard of accredited courses to animal owners and professionals alike. The NAC has its own virtual learning environment that allows students from all over the world to join in with courses, lectures and webinars, ultimately fulfilling the NAC mission statement; “Positively influencing the wellbeing of animals worldwide”. Heather and Ross Simpson founded the NAC in 1997 when they opened the first centre in Sussex. In 2003, they moved to Wales and opened the second centre and they remained there until 2019 when the NAC Sanctuary moved to Chichester after Heather sadly passed away the year before. With a background in animal behaviour, Heather has published her first PhD paper on zebra behaviour working with Professor Christine Nicol of Bristol Vet School. The Natural Animal Centre ran animal behaviour courses for people to come and stay and spend weeks at a time studying the science of animal behaviour, in a centre purpose-built for the animals it was home to. The NAC then developed further and converted the EBQ and CBQ stage 1 courses into online distance learning programmes which pioneered the way that people could learn the science of animal behaviour for these species, in as much depth as they would have done in person, from home. With this step forward came the release of the EBQ Stage 2 and the CBQ Stage 2. As of 2021, the ownership of the Natural Animal Centre changed when Ross chose Alex Le Grand as a successor. Alex brought on board Debbie Busby and Aliyah Woodland to help him develop the NAC further into the future of the animal behaviour industry. The Natural Animal Centre is now managed by the new team and is re-structuring all the courses and developing them further to move in line with the animal behaviour industry becoming more controlled over the coming years. With this, new programmes are undergoing development and in 2022 there will be more courses available for owners, professionals, degree students, etc.

Preserving is something I have loved doing ever since I can remember – I have memories as a very small person helping my Mother to make jars of jam ready for the Winter. I could only just see over the kitchen table but loved all the neat rows with their cellophane tops and labels. I made my first chutney alone and unaided when I was about 11 years old - I don't know what my Mother was thinking of - but I was delighted with the result and embarked upon trying out more recipes over the next few years. Preserving has been a lifelong passion and I have enjoyed experimenting with creating my own recipes which is after all, the roots of preserving in the first place. Our ancestors used what they knew with what they had in order to extend the life of food that they farmed or foraged in order to feed their families, and to survive. Nowadays, preserving can be more of an enjoyable hobby but is still an important means of making the most of what we grow or harvest or maybe find as bargains at the market. It makes a significant contribution to the family diet by adding nourishment, variety, and flavour to everyday meals. Nowadays, when we are all trying to make ends meet it is even more important to make sure we make the most of all that we can and prevent waste. about rosie making jam age 5 I now live in rural Rutland with husband Trevor, love good food, chickens and knitting (when I'm not making jam!) With teaching jam and preserve making and Master Classes, talks and demonstrations, writing, running my own Artisan preserves business, LoveJars and being Nanny to four grandsons, life is busy. In addition there are books! 'In a Bit of a Jam' is my personal account of my jam making story which began before I went to school and is supplemented with a series of recipe books on the individual methods of making preserves - and is a work in progress. We also publish a monthly digital magazine 'Simply Preserved' for all of those who love preserving as much as we do, home makers and artisans alike. Free to read in page-turning software it is a ground breaking resource for the preserving world.

Papu Jordan is a fully qualified Reiki Practitioner & Teacher and Massage Therapist with a particular interest in women’s health issues. She is also a Sound Healer, Meditation Teacher and workshop facilitator. Papu was brought up in an immigrant family in which western medicine was used alongside more traditional methods and natural treatments, and so whilst developing a career in teaching, she continued gaining knowledge and experience of Complementary Therapies and using them in her own life. Papu now lives in Harpenden with her husband & Springer spaniel and has been using complementary therapies with her family for many years. She chants every day, is studying the ancient language of Sanskrit and has attended the Teacher Training programme at Sanskrit@St James’, London, which is further informing her work with Mantra & Meditation. Papu Jordan Holistic Therapies for Women was established in 2006 with a view to helping and supporting busy women with the stresses of modern life through Complementary Therapies. Since then, the practice has grown with many clients coming for short term sessions to deal with acute issues or as a treat. Others require longer courses of treatments to help with more chronic conditions or as maintenance/preventative therapeutic sessions. Many have gone on to do Reiki training with Papu and become part of her local Reiki network of students and practitioners through Reiki shares, workshops and other events. Papu has experience treating all ages – from babies & children right through to the elderly; and in supporting people with a wide variety of conditions, including life limiting ones, both as a Grove House volunteer therapist and in private practice.
