Voluntary Action North Lincolnshire (VANL) is a Registered Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee, governed by a Memorandum and Articles of Association adopted on 19th March 1997, amended on 7th October 2004 and again on 4th October 2007. The date of Incorporation was 1st April 1997. A Board of Trustees (15 in total) directs the policy and management of VANL. The members of the Board are Directors of the Company for the purpose of charity law. They are elected from the membership, or can be self-nominated as individual representatives if they have specialist skills that will complement the make-up of the Board, to serve for three years. They can also be co-opted annually if there are vacancies. VANL’s purposes are the advancement of education, the protection of health and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness. These aims are pursued by bringing together voluntary and statutory organisations in Council and by encouraging co-operation between organisations. VANL is a Council for Voluntary Service (CVS). Its core work is to support, promote and develop the voluntary and community sector (VCS) within North Lincolnshire. As well as its core activities for members, at any one time VANL manages a variety of projects running on both a small and large scale. VANL needs to evidence its work in five key areas, these are: Services and support to promote VCS effectiveness: ranging from typing and duplicating facilities to advice on charitable, organisational and funding matters, and community accountancy. Liaison: encouraging networking between groups within the sector and between the VCS and statutory and private sectors. Representation: through facilitating forums and other groups to ensure views are put forward on local policies. Development work: identifying gaps in service provision and working with the VCS groups to develop new services to meet those needs.

The Body Happy Organisation is a social enterprise dedicated to promoting positive body image in children and young people. Through student workshops in schools, staff training CPD workshops, learning resources and peer support, we help schools - and all organisations that work with children and young people - create environments that nurture the body esteem of the kids in their care.  We're the only body image education organisation in the UK made up of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, including educators, doctors, counsellors, nutritionists, dietitians, media professionals, health psychologists, body image researchers and weight inclusive fitness trainers. We have a rigorous impact measurement process and a high level of in-house accountability with a Board of Directors that includes a GP, a teacher, a project manager and our founder - author, campaigner and journalist Molly Forbes.  Our focus is on prevention and culture change, and we are currently working with The University of Lincoln to delve into the science behind our approach and framework.  Our framework consists of:  * CPD staff training workshops * Student Sessions workshops for children and young people  * Learning resources  * Peer support * Books and bespoke designed physical resources, including our signature affirmation activity card deck, stickers and posters We also have an Online Masterclass for parents, and run quarterly interactive webinars for parents and caregivers.  We can run in-person workshops in most parts of the UK. All of our facilitators are trained to deliver our programme and are highly experienced in running training and workshops with both staff and children and young people, and have specialist professional expertise and qualifications in body image / body image adjacent disciplines.  We have worked with many schools - in both the UK, Europe, US and Middle East. My name is Joe Turnbull and I have been angling since I was about 13. I first found out about such an amazing beautiful pastime when my uncle took me to the local river, armed with a small box of maggots and little bag of brown bread crumb to use as ground bait. After that first encounter catching some good roach, I was simply hooked and I had found something that I was quite good at. From that first experience I went on to enter a few matches, however, I’ve never really been competitive, so from there on I generally enjoyed my pleasure fishing for all species, which has seen me venturing all around the country angling at many different venues. After some years of allround specimen angling, my one true love fell for carp angling, along with the wonder and amazement that it holds. fishing-tv Why Bait?…Archie Braddock’s supplied a mix of herbs and spices, along with Richworth and Rod Hutchinson that had a range of ‘off the shelf’ boilies and flavourings. I was intrigued, as many people still are, by being able to mix all sorts of concoctions and seeing if I could get a fish to feed on it. After years of playing with baits and ingredients, a part of a life long dream became a reality as I was given a monthly feature in the biggest and longest running carp magazine, Carpworld and sister magazine, Crafty Carper. Successful angling is all about consistency. TechyTots was established at the beginning of 2017 in response to a gap in the market by mum of two Gemma Murray. Having family members working in this field and after researching the benefits of teaching children coding Gemma was keen to introduce her own children to coding and quickly realized there was nothing available in the early years to develop such skills. It was quickly apparent that there was high demand for TechyTots with lots of schools asking to run sessions and with family sessions being popular. In just over a year the level of supply and demand was so high for TechyTots, the opportunity for the business to grow was clear. TechyTots is now a national franchise providing classes from Tyneside to London. Now run by Gemma’s Cousin Julie Barber, TechyTots has gone from strength to strength. Julie has been a franchisees with TechyTots since 2018, and has a unique perspective as a business leader, she has faced the challenges of a franchisee and devolved a successful franchise with multiple classes running well in her area. Julie now has the opportunity to develop TechyTots and make sure more children are able to be part of TechyTots and learn important Coding skills. TechyTots is the first class in the uk to bring together technology and play to introduce children to coding. Our aim is to work on the first steps of coding with children at a young age to help prepare them for the technical world we now live in whilst making it fun. 'Coding' for those who do not already know is simply a set of instructions for a computer or device. At TechyTots we encourage children to develop early coding skills by using robots and the most advanced ‘Techy’ toys available. We also use unplugged play and activities which encourage problem solving skills, critical thinking, sequencing, early math skills and early programming, which are not only educational but lots of fun too!

As a Teacher, Surrey Cricket Coach and a father of 3, I noticed there were no other kids cricket opportunities for 3-8 year olds. From my own point of view I always wanted my children to enjoy sport, but equally want them to be stretched from an early age. I believe children are far more capable at times than we give them credit for, therefore although our program is all about developing your child’s physical learning of cricket and social skills attributed though enjoyment, our unique concept enables the core skills of cricket to be introduced from an early age to great success.” For the last 3 years running we are honored to be nominated for an ‘Outstanding Services to Cricket Coaching Award’ by the Natwest OSCA’S at Surrey County Cricket Club. Mini Crickets has also proven to be a significant feeder into County Cricket with 8 of our clients last year successfully making it into the Surrey County Cricket Performance Squads! Coaches are all highly qualified having undergone an intensive inset program, as well as undertaking DBS/first aid and ECB coaching awards. If you would like your daughter or son to start their cricket careers on the right ‘front foot drive’, then ‘Crickety’ is waiting for a high five! During the Summer of 2017 Mini Crickets founder Jon Albert was incredibly proud to receive the honour of ‘ Outstanding Coaching Achievement’ from Surrey County Cricket Club. This award was given for his innovative coaching methods which have been developed over the years to create our Mini Cricket classes. Jon is thrilled that his program has been recognised with this honour and we look forward rolling our program out to as many children as possible over the coming year. This recognition is down to the commitment of all the Mini Cricket coaches throughout our centres and special mention goes to Henry Thorpe who won ‘Young Coach of the Year.

Hampstead Hill School is an independent Nursery and Pre-Preparatory School based in St Stephen’s, a magnificent Grade I listed former church, and the adjacent School Hall in the heart of Hampstead, London. There are five Year Groups at Hampstead Hill and each Year Group consists of four classes. The Lower School, based in St Stephen’s Hall and the Garden classrooms, is made up of Early Years (age 2–3), Pre-Reception (age 3–4) and Reception (age 4–5) and the Upper School, based in St Stephen’s, is made up of Year 1 (age 5-6) and Year 2 (age 6-7). Hampstead Hill provides the peace of mind and security that comes with traditional teaching and values. Alongside a wide and varied syllabus we offer a balanced, nurturing and happy environment that gives children a stimulating and exciting introduction to early education and encourages them to learn and grow. In the Upper School our goal is to prepare children for the academic challenges of the 7+ entrance examinations to a wide range of future schools. At the start of the Summer Term the Year 2 pupils, who have finished entrance examinations, move into Post Exam classes and the Year 1 pupils move into their Year 2 classes, giving the children due to sit 7+ examinations three full terms with the Year 2 Class Teachers.
