My background in leadership development, occupational psychology, executive coaching, organization development and neuroscience gives me the skills and experience to help any client in any industry to maximise their potential for performance. I work with a small number of experienced associates, whom I’ve known for several years. I have self-funded all the qualifications I need to be able to offer a professional and reliable service. These are listed in the right-hand column. My professional development is continuing as I work towards Chartered Coaching Psychologist status. My professional career includes 9 years as a commissioned officer in the British Army, reaching the rank of major by 30 years old and fulfilling roles as an HR Director/Company Secretary of an infantry battalion (1st Battalion The Green Howards) on operations in Northern Ireland and Bosnia-Herzegovina. I led the first-ever British Army expedition to Lake Baikal, the World’s largest freshwater lake, in Siberia, Russia in 1995, lasting 3 months. After leaving the Forces, I held operations management roles in Ernst & Young, Cap Gemini and Accenture, before working for a number of boutique psychology consultancies, including Chimp Management, a company closely involved with various Team GB Olympic sports including cycling, swimming, taekwondo and canoeing. I am supervised by an EMCC and ICF-accredited supervisor. I am also a qualified Mental Health First Aider, which compliments my skills workshops on managing stress and building resilience. For my own wellbeing, I enjoy running, hill walking and real ale, occasionally combining all three by taking part in mountain marathons followed by a well-earned break in a local pub to refuel and recover. I enjoy reading history and biographies (as well as psychology, it goes without saying!), and I try to keep my German and Russian above the level of embarrassed British tourist asking for directions to the beach.

Fluentintuition Ltd has been helping people explore and develop their intuition for languages since 2007. Founded on 20 years’ experience in language teaching and course provision, setting up fluentintuition was fuelled by a desire to make language learning a better experience for all those wanting to learn a language and embrace foreign cultures. No large classes and no merged levels: Because we know personalised learning is essential to adult learners progressing quickly and being motivated, we promise small groups, more talk time to practise and individual attention. We don’t compromise on quality: you won’t find yourself in a large class, our optimum size is 6-8 learners; and unless we are running a multi-level workshop, we don’t combine levels so you’ll always be working at the right level for you. Courses mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference: All our language courses are mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference so you can be confident that what you're learning is of a standardised level and that you're progressing in the right direction for the goals you wish to achieve. Find out more about the Common European Framework of Reference here> Qualified tutors: Our team is made-up of linguists and trainers specialised in teaching foreign languages to adult learners. We select friendly professionals who are passionate about what they do so you can learn best. Passion and the good life: We know the best way to learn is to love what you're doing, so at the heart of what we do is the inspiration we've taken from 'passion and the good life' to create an exciting and innovative range of courses. So you'll not only learn the language but you'll find out about song, music, film, literature, theatre, gastronomy, sports and a whole lot more.

Paradice Ice Rink Avondale

PARADICE A BRIEF HISTORY One day in the early 1970’s Ross Blong, a farmer with imagination as it turned out, came home from a particularly unpleasant milking and told his wife Nell he had enough and wanted to find something different to do! After searching for a “people business” they decided on an ice skating rink in Glen Innes and purchased it in 1974. After a steep learning curve they established Paradice on the map as a great family entertainment facility in Auckland. By 1980 they had dreams of building New Zealand’s first international size indoor arena and had it up and running by May 1981 at our current Avondale location at Lansford Cresent. It has been popular ever since with families and as a “hang out” for teens and young adults. There have been several transformations since its opening with the most recent being completed in 2011 to include a state of the art ice floor, dasher boards and refrigeration system. By the late 1990’s the second family generation having being heavily involved in ice sports at an international level dreamed of a second, Olympic sized indoor ice rink, again a first for New Zealand, and it was built in 1999 at its current location Botany Downs. The rink is still going strong today. In 2012 Paradice owned and operated Auckland’s first temporary outdoor ice rink at Aotea Square which has turned into an annual winter wonderland type event with the addition of NZ’s first event ice slide in 2014. Our temporary ice rinks have expanded to Rotorua, Wellington, and Taupo. Through the years Paradice has operated as a family, customer focused friendly business with staff sharing their passion for people and ice with innovation!

Tumble Tots Marlow-Maidenhead-Slough

Worcestershire,

Tumble Tots is a physical play programme. We offer classes where children can develop their physical skills of balance, agility, climbing and co-ordination, whilst at the same time stimulating their imagination, and developing their language and social skills. Our sessions are structured around the different ages and stages of a child's development, from 6 months to school age. Each week we combine fun, excitement and challenge in a safe and caring environment, with our unique equipment and team of specially trained coaches. Children have an enormous amount of natural energy and with proper help and guidance it can be channelled in the right direction. We believe that if we can start children on a healthy way of life early on then it will become a habit for the rest of their lives. Exercise should be about having fun and that’s exactly what Tumble Tots provides! My name is Helen Otto and I live in High Wycombe with my husband, twin 8-year-old daughters and our 4 year old son. I took over running Tumble Tots in Marlow, Maidenhead and Bourne End in June 2017. The girls had been going to Tumble Tots in Marlow for a couple of years and loved the classes. I’d been a Tumble Tot as a child, and had also been a competitive swimmer right up until my late teenage years, so doing something in sport really appealed to me. And I love working with kids. Seeing children grow in confidence and ability week after week is so rewarding. I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by a fab team of coaches who work their socks off to make our classes fun and challenging for our tots. Our Class Leaders are Jade, Jackie, Katie and myself. And our Coaches are Sarah, Lisa and Liz.

Hertford

YOU HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE! I set up my first business at the age of 17; buying pizzas from a local factory and selling them to hungry students at my college. Not groundbreaking by any means, but it taught me a huge amount about business, and paid for my social life, as well as funding a modest expansion in the form of a chest freezer, delivery bike and eventually a van. More importantly, this little pizza business gave me the knowledge and confidence to develop my next idea. COMPETING WITH FILOFAX At 19, I designed and manufactured a range of products to compete with the global brand ‘Filofax’ (for those who remember them). My first order (from WH-Smith) was manufactured in a rented bedroom in Tring, Hertfordshire, and the business quickly grew big enough to win several innovation and business awards. Within 18 months the range sold through many major UK and European retailers, including Liberty’s and Selfridges, as well as being used as commercial folders and gifts by brands like Mercedes Benz and Shell Oil. GROWING COMPANIES Since selling that brand at 22, I’ve grown several businesses with the majority of the last 25+ years running and owning companies in the branding, design, marketing and business development sector. From turning 2 people working from a bedroom making very little to a 30 headcount agency turning over £2.5m through to a 20 person agency in London to have 400 people in offices all over the world. Always with a focus on growth and working closely with my clients, it is here that I have advised many hundreds of different companies on their positioning, brand, marketing, customer development, growth and efficiency.

With over 35 years commercial experience in building running and managing businesses operating across International markets in many channels I found this course to be hugely beneficial. As someone famously said I was so impressed I bought the company. Whether it is long commercial or legal documents, the endless trail of emails that flood our phones and computers more and more precious time is being taken up reading. Bu understanding both the mechanical and psychological elements that go into “smart reading” we can help you increase both the speed at which you read and also retain more of the understanding of what you have read. These courses have been proven over 30 years and thousands of satisfied customers (many in the public sector) and now more than ever before do we need to be able to read effectively. At our latest course in Durham the group on the course averaged more than a doubling of the speed at which they could read by the end of the day – oh and to add to that the understanding of what they had read also increased significantly — a real win – win. Just imagine what you could do with the time you would save each week ! Meet the Team From start up’s through to multi national organisation Tim’s expertise and commercial acumen has helped deliver profitable growth across many differing businesses. Dedicated to helping people get the most out of every opportunity in their work life balance. I always see opportunity and get great satisfaction in seeing people grow and develop their skills through the various training and development courses. Outside of work most Saturdays sees me involved in Rugby in some way shape or form (coaching / managing) and even still pull on the boots on the odd occasion, best rugby memory was playing in a game where both my sons were playing.
