Our vision here at ‘Soma’ is to offer a tranquil, community driven and inclusive wellness hub for those wishing to pursue health, happiness and soul searching. Through yoga, dance, movement, meditation and alternative therapies we hope to provide a sanctuary that can be shared and enjoyed by the local community of Otley and beyond. SOMA has long existed in our minds – it just took a lot of meetings, creative vision and shopping trips until we were able to finally create our little studio. We had one main intention – to build a studio that could impact the lives of those living around us. We wanted to create a space whereby people feel warmth as they enter, a space for people to unwind over a post-yoga coffee, a space for children to explore their worlds through learning and movement, and finally a space away from home whereby people could seek that much needed physical and emotional restoration!

Supplying Free Training to Mexborough Mexborough Resource and Training Centre is located on the corner of Hampden Road/Dolcliffe Road in central Mexborough, easily accessible by car or public transport. Mexborough is in the catchment area for Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster, an often-overlooked fabulous central point for people wishing to access this area of South Yorkshire. The resource centre was recently purchased by Peter Newman, a local businessman, who is also the owner of Mexborough Business Centre. Aquired in December 2015 Peter and his team have successfully built up its tenancy from 25% to 90% capacity, whilst securing an ongoing commitment to the restoration of this original Victorian building. We are hoping to attract training companies looking for new venues in the South Yorkshire area. We will work alongside Mexborough Community Partnership, a social enterprise, who are already based at the Resource Centre in a bid to also attract more community/charity groups who require space and funding.

We are a small family firm started by Albert Nightingale in the 1970’s when NFS quickly became well known across the Cambridgeshire Fen, Peterborough and surrounding area. Albert had over 20 years experience when he started the firm and continued until the mid 2000’s when he decided to retire. His son Patrick Nightingale, himself a trained agricultural engineer & experienced welder, took over the reins and the company is continuing to build on the original legacy, with its reputation for quality, reliability and delivery of all work undertaken Albert remains an active member of the Peterborough Farm Machinery Preservation Society having been one of the founder members. Patrick has continued with the tradition and he is himself too, an active member of the Society. Albert has accumulated a vast wealth of knowledge & experience by both working on other peoples agricultural equipment as well as his own (pictured right exhibiting his own 1930’s John Deere B Series, at the East of England Show) Whereas Patrick completed his apprenticeship with Baker Perkins, going onto work for a renowned Cambridgeshire firm of Agricultural Engineers before joining Railway industry to add to his skills base as an experienced Welder. He has always had a special affinity with metal and welding, coupled with a perfectionist nature has resulted in a truly remarkable workman who prides himself in his work to the very high standards he sets himself Nightingale Farm Services is a small family firm who pride themselves on working together, doing the best they can to support the delivery of a quality restoration for you the customer. Upholding family values is Patrick’s wife is in charge of Admin, his niece & Albert’s granddaughter herself an active member of the local young farmers, looking after the technology, and Patrick’s young step sons as active members of the local farming community, waiting in the wings so that they too can help restore & maintain farming heritage for all our future So, if we have raised your interest, and you are either part way through or have a full restoration project you would like us to consider, then please get in contact and lets start preserving your past!

Started in 2020 by Christian Bell and born out of a life long passion for classic motorcycles, Ride and Restore Limited is a small family owned engineering business specialising in all aspects of motorcycle restoration. We have particular knowledge for Japanese bikes manufactured from the 1970s onwards and specialise in motorcycle paintwork, carburettor repairs and vapour blasting. We have the in house facilities and knowledge available to restore complete motorcycles and components to the highest of standards. Our facilities include a spacious 2 bay fully stocked up motorcycle workshop, a large Vixen 1215 vapour blasting machine complete with top of the range ceramic media, ultrasonic cleaning baths, large paint booth, and a fabrications area including MIG/TIG welders, pillar drills, band saws and sheet metal equipment. We can assist with individual parts of your bike, or take on complete bike projects no matter how bad the condition. Specialising in classic interiors with a modern twist, we aim to help create a beautiful space that tells your story. Established in historic Colchester, Simply Living was set up by interior designer Brigitte Fraser. She started her business from her home in 1992, at the same time taking a 4 year degree in Interior Design and Furnishing at the London College of Furnishings. In 2002 Brigitte opened her own shop, Simply Living, in Colchester from where she continued to run her interior design business. Now relocated to our studio in Manor Road, we pride ourselves on our loyal client base ranging from private to commercial who return year after year. We have worked exclusively for Lexden Restorations Ltd, an award-winning developer largely specialising in the restoration of listed buildings, including The Maltings in Manningtree, Sovereign Crescent on the Lexden Road in Colchester, Abbey House in St Johns as well as the Garrison in Colchester.
