We run innovative and life-changing Wellbeing Challenge courses for families, groups or individuals which combine the challenge of outdoor activities with training in core resilience skills. Our aim is to help people of all ages to develop the skills needed to enable them to bounce back from the challenges of everyday life and to make sustainable improvements in their wellbeing. Our team of staff and volunteers are highly qualified, trained and experienced in working with adults, families, children and young people. Stop Hurt at Work is the campaign set up by Conduct Change to uphold its clear commitment to its social purpose: Our mission is to end workplace bullying through the development of meaningful prevention activities for organisations and the implementation of effective routes to redress for individuals. Campaign for change [https://www.conductchange.co.uk/stophurtatwork-legislation] We are campaigning for formal recognition of workplace bullying as a problem that injures individuals and damages organisations. The law does not provide sufficient protection or redress for people whose employers let bullying go unchecked, making the process of seeking legal remedy in these cases unduly complex and arduous. We are working with lawyers and legislators to identify and close the gaps in legislation. Bullying is a complex issue which requires a multi-faceted response. There are many factors that influence behaviour – in our schools, our communities and online. We benefit from a wealth of research both in the UK and internationally relating to bullying, and we are influenced by a broad range of theoretical approaches. Direct interventions with children and families We provide interventions with children at an individual and peer group level and family-based interventions. Work with schools and the community We support staff to understand how their actions influence the behaviour of children and consider practical ways we can build safe communities. Wider societal influence We consider the ways that our society and culture influence the behaviour of children and are champions for kindness, empathy, inclusion and respect. The impact of our work There are five main ways that we reduce the impact of bullying and harm: Building communities of support Reducing isolation and loneliness Promoting positive relationships Supporting resilience and wellbeing Helping children recognise and respond to bullying behaviour.
