8TX,

Together, we are committed to creating a supportive environment, built on care and respect, in which all children are encouraged to believe in themselves and aspire to be the best that they can be. At Wardley Primary School, we are an inclusive school in which adults share the highest expectations of children. Across all areas of learning, we endeavour to build upon the children’s individual personal strengths in order to allow them to fulfil their potential. We want every one of our pupils to believe in their own success, through the promotion of self-belief and determination. Together, we have created a nurturing environment where children feel safe and secure and are supported and valued by the adults around them. Although academic success is a driving factor, we also want our pupils to be active and healthy, both physically and emotionally. We aim to give our pupils the skills and knowledge that they need in order to be successful learners, good citizens and lead positive lives in our ever-changing world. In our school, we promote resilience, ambition and perseverance within all aspects of our vibrant and diverse curriculum. Respect and the building of positive relationships is at the core of what we do. Our aims are not something we believe we can achieve without building positive relationships and working collaboratively with our parents/ carers; it is our goal to work closely with families to enable the children to develop and improve in the most effective way possible.

We firmly believe that children who are happy and inspired succeed. Our broad curriculum, exceptional pastoral care and nurturing environment at Wellesley helps to foster the individual strengths of every pupil. Academic success is a priority, and our pupils benefit from small classes, superb facilities and dedicated, talented teachers. We are proud of the excellent results that our pupils achieve in their entrance exams to a wide range of the UK’s top public schools. However, at Wellesley education is so much more than just what is learned in the classroom. Our aim is to lay strong foundations, and teach our pupils vital life skills that will help them to succeed throughout their life. All the children are encouraged to take part in a wide array of activities, and they each get the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports, helping them to learn the importance of teamwork, resilience, and how to win and lose graciously. Pupils are encouraged to try new experiences and take a few risks, which helps them to build their self-confidence, ignite passions and make lifelong friends. We instill strong values in every child, and encourage them to be well-mannered, considerate and kind. By the time our pupils move on to their senior school they are confident, motivated young adults, well prepared to thrive and deal with the excitements and challenges that lie ahead. We encourage you to come and visit us, so that you can see for yourself what makes Wellesley such an outstanding school.

At Fight for Peace young people make friends, get fit, and develop their interests, skills, and confidence. Our aim is to ensure young people achieve their full potential in life, and we welcome any young person from our communities aged 7-25 years old. We embrace the power of sport for the life lessons it teaches, such as resilience and discipline, as well as improved health and wellbeing. And we combine this with one-to-one mentoring conversations with qualified youth workers, personal development sessions, and education and employability support. Young leaders also shape our services, being part of staff recruitment and strategy development, producing communications, and progressing to employed roles as ‘Next Gen’ staff. We support around 500 young people per year at our Academy in east London and, in order to reach as many young people as possible, we train and work with like minded community partners across the UK and the world - something we call the Fight for Peace Alliance. We also coordinate Collectives in east London and Jamaica to bring together diverse partners from across communities in support of young people. Hillview School for Girls is a unique learning establishment. Our ethos is built around a broad and balanced education where students are able to explore their interests and talents, whilst making good progress across a range of academic and foundation subjects. Our specialism in Performing and Visual Arts and outstanding attainment across a wide range of curriculum areas enables all of our students to develop their passions within a safe and supportive environment. As a school we strive to support each and every child to realise their dreams and ambitions. Our strong pastoral system supports our students in their decision-making, confidence-building and resilience, which will serve them so well in an ever-changing and challenging world. Our mixed sixth form offers one of the widest subject ranges in the local area, across multiple specialist academic and vocational courses. Our curriculum offers students the flexibility to specialise in one area or keep a wide subject base. Our new Performing Arts studio route provides our students with the industry experience to secure their progression into their chosen field or on to university study. We are highly aspirational for all our Key Stage 5 students and actively support their progression onto university by leading them through the application process and developing their transferable, personal skills and independent learning skills to ensure they are successful in their subsequent studies. Students develop their understanding of the local community through varied community and business links and fundraising opportunities. Our new Science HUB, offers members of the community the chance to experience lectures from top scientists, which also supports our students’ exploration into high academic, aspirational career pathways. Our highly active and dedicated PTA offer a range of events throughout the year, for students and parents. Their hard work and effort continues to support our students by providing facilities such as a school minibus or covered seating areas. They are always looking for new members to support their on-going projects. We are entering a new and exciting time, which will see the school moving from strength to strength, building upon our current position as one of the highest attaining non-selective schools in Kent; with 61% of our students leaving with 5 A*-C including English and Maths. Together, as a school, we will be building an outstanding provision for the future, where students will take a highly active role within the wider school development and their own learning journey. Our students access a highly personalised curriculum which enables each individual to progress at a rate suitable to their needs. A student’s successful progression through the school is dependent upon a strong partnership and network and I ask all parents to support their children and the school by promoting positive learning behaviours and engaging their child in discussions about their work.

Newport Girls' High School Academy

Shropshire

From the Headteacher, Michael Scott May I extend a warm welcome to our website. Newport Girls’ High School offers an all-round education with considerable strengths both inside and beyond the classroom. We support students academically to achieve their potential, whilst also developing resilience and promoting emotional wellbeing. As a relatively small school, there is a real family-feel to NGHS and our house system affords students the chance to meet peers in other year groups and to participate in healthy competition in a wide range of disciplines. There is an extra-curricular activity to suit all tastes at NGHS and staff work exceptionally hard to provide these opportunities for our students. We also organise a number of key open events during the academic year and welcome visitors to see all that NGHS has to offer. Our curriculum is academically rigorous with all students studying two modern languages in KS3 and separate sciences at GCSE. Some students also study Further Maths as an additional equivalent GCSE. At A-level we offer a full range of subjects to enable progression to university, apprenticeship or employment. Significant support with UCAS applications is available to all. Our pastoral team, comprising both teaching Heads of Year, SENDCO and non-teaching support staff ensure that our students’ individual needs are met and we work closely with families and primary schools to ensure a smooth transfer from Year 6. Newport Girls’ High School was visited by Ofsted in October 2019 for a section 8 inspection. We are delighted to have retained our outstanding status as a result of this visit under the revised Ofsted framework.

Welcome to Valley Invicta Academies Trust (VIAT). Our Academy consists of an exceptional cluster of primary and secondary schools at the heart of our local community, based in the Maidstone and Malling area of Kent. VIAT was legally established as a Multi Academy Trust on 10 March, 2011. VIAT believes in the benefits of cross-phase education whereby all pupils, regardless of background, are taught a broad curriculum by specialist teachers across all ages; thereby enabling them to master the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their full educational and personal potential. Our team work tirelessly to ensure that every child can be the best they can be along with providing an innovative and interactive curriculum based on the arts and academia; we aim to be at the forefront of developing new approaches to learning, embedding the ‘mastery’ approach to teaching and learning; securing the very best outcomes for pupils. Our children only get one chance in their education and it is our responsibility to provide the very best for them. All our schools have a strong and cohesive outlook, reflecting our inclusive vision; staff and pupils are inspired to embed the values of respect and resilience, while developing personal character through additional wider curriculum activities and opportunities which motivate and enable them to grow in confidence, while cultivating thinking skills, and creative potential beyond typical expectations. This secure foundation ensures an ambitious and aspirational approach, as well as a broader commitment to, and proactive engagement in, wider society; enabling our pupils to be fully ready – academically and personally – for their transition from primary into secondary school and a life-time of influence beyond.
