Birmingham Egyptology

birmingham egyptology

Birmingham

The idea for Birmingham Egyptology arose in 2003 following the graduation of a class of MA Egyptology students eager to maintain their social network. In the following years members met socially and, on occasions, joined together for field trips and enjoyed involvement in research projects and, as a result, several of the original members of the group are still in regular contact. The group newsletter was first published in 2006 and circulation was extended to other interested groups and societies within the discipline. With the addition of new members through the various postgraduate programmes at Birmingham numbers have gradually increased until, by 2011 it was felt that we had sufficient strength in depth to host the CRE conference. That event took place in March 2012, its apparent success inspiring our most recent development: the formation of the Birmingham Egyptology Forum. The Forum brings current postgraduates together with alumni, other students and academics associated with University of Birmingham, and members of the public to work on a variety of projects. Regular seminars are held within the University to discuss matters of mutual interest. Other activities continue the work relating to the Eton Myers collection of objects currently on loan to the University following on from the initial catalogue of essays published on the University web site in June 2012. A summary of Birmingham Egyptology activities are presented on this web site to engage the interest of all persons interested in the topics raised, and updates will be made from time to time as opportunity allows. Items of the type formally published in the newsletter will now appear on the blog section whereas those of a more academic nature will appear in the journal section. The Birmingham Egyptology Journal, ISSN 2053-3586, is a peer-reviewed publication, available free of charge, which provides a platform for the presentation of scholarly articles relating to the culture, history, and archaeology of ancient Egypt and to which Birmingham Egyptology invite contributions from outside sources. Those interested in submitting articles may wish to consult the guidelines for contributors outlined in the ‘Journal’ section. The Birmingham Egyptology website is published by the Birmingham Egyptology Group, University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, Birmingham, United Kingdom.

In the fast-paced world of school, students often have to deal with a lot of problems, such as meeting tight schedules and taking a lot of difficult classes. When this happens, a lot of students choose to buy coursework online, which can b [https://studybay.com/buy-courseworks/]e [https://studybay.com/buy-courseworks/] very helpful and convenient in many ways. Let’s talk about the most common situations when students buy coursework, the main reasons they do this, and consider examples to show the benefits of this method. When Do Students Buy Coursework Online? There are many times when students need to or would benefit from getting online help. Here are some common situations: * Tight Deadlines: When students have a lot of work due quickly, they may buy schoolwork to make sure they meet all the due dates and don't fall behind. * Challenging Subjects: Some classes or modules may be very hard for a student, so they may need outside help in the form of pre-written homework. * Balancing Workload: Students with busy schedules, like those who have to balance work, extracurricular activities, and family duties, may purchase coursework to help them better handle their work. * Lack of Expertise: Some students may not have the skills or background information to do an assignment well, which is why they look for professionally written coursework. Reasons Why Students Buy Coursework There are a number of reasons why students choose to buy their coursework, such as: * Time management: Buying papers can save students a lot of time and work, giving them more time to focus on other school and personal obligations. * Improved Grades: Homework that is well-written and based on study can help students get better grades, especially in subjects where they are having trouble. * Convenience: When a student buys coursework, he or she doesn't have to do as much research, writing, and citing other sources. This makes the task process easier for them. * Overcoming Writer's Block: Students who have trouble writing or “writer's block [https://www.uis.edu/learning-hub/writing-resources/handouts/learning-hub/writers-block]” can find help by using pre-written material as a starting place. * Access to Expertise: Coursework that is written by a professional writer can give students access to deep information and skills that they may not have themselves. Examples Take the example of Sarah, a student who is having a hard time in her economics class. In two weeks, she has to turn in a test paper, but she also works part-time and has other work to do. Sarah decides to buy a well-written and well-researched coursework on the subject. This way, she can turn in a good paper without having to do a lot of study on her own. This helps Sarah keep up her good grades while also taking care of her other duties. Alex, on the other hand, is in a literature class and has trouble with formal writing. He makes the choice to buy coursework to help him understand the assignment's style and structure. With the help of the homework he bought, Alex is able to improve his own writing skills and turn in a better paper than he would have otherwise.

holistic ink piercing places boston’s story about clara’s expectation for the studio

Clara Thompson, a 27-year-old from Seattle, has always considered herself a free spirit, expressing her personality through unique jewelry. As a creative graphic designer, she frequently designs pieces that reflect her individuality and wanted to find a piece of jewelry that truly embodied that essence. After years of contemplation, Clara decided it was time to get a piercing as a way to refresh her look. However, since it was her first time, she wanted to ensure she chose the right style, material, and placement so that the piercing would feel like a natural extension of her lifestyle. That’s why she chose Holistic Ink piercing places boston—a renowned studio known for its perfect fusion of piercing artistry and feng shui. 1. FIRST-TIME PIERCINGS AT HOLISTIC INK PIERCING BOSTON REQUIRE PROFESSIONAL GUIDANCE For Clara, choosing to get a piercing at ▶️ Holistic Ink Piercing Boston [https://www.holisticink.com/holisticink-servies/body-piercing-boston/] ◀️ wasn’t easy, but despite her research, it was her first time in a studio. The studio immediately put her at ease from the very first steps. Before the piercing, she received a thorough consultation on the procedure, aftercare instructions, and tips to prevent infection or irritation. The professionals walked her through every necessary step, from choosing the jewelry and sterilization to preparing the piercing site, the piercing process itself, and aftercare. Clara learned that beyond decorative piercings, some designs were crafted specifically to enhance feng shui and bring good luck to the wearer. This aspect particularly fascinated her, making her feel that her decision wasn’t just about aesthetics but also a spiritual transformation. Additionally, the specialists advised Clara on selecting the right type of jewelry for different body areas, as each placement could impact both physical health and feng shui. This insight excited Clara even more, as she wanted a piercing that was not only stylish but also carried deep personal meaning. 2. CHOOSING THE PERFECT PLACEMENT AND JEWELRY DESIGN Clara isn’t a fan of anything too flashy or overly intricate. She prefers simplicity and elegance in everything, including jewelry choices. After reviewing various piercing styles, she concluded that an ear piercing was the best fit for her. The next step was selecting the right placement and design. When asked about placement, Clara shared that she wanted her piercing on the helix—subtle yet refined, seamlessly blending with her personal style. The consultant explained that a helix piercing not only creates a sophisticated look but can also help channel positive energy, which aligns well with Clara’s personality—someone who values harmony and balance in life. As for design, Clara gravitated towards small, delicate, yet expressive jewelry. She didn’t want anything too large or extravagant but rather a versatile piece that could complement multiple outfits. A thin metallic hoop, either round or oval, seemed like the perfect choice. The Holistic Ink Piercing Boston staff also suggested a few pieces that would match her facial features and fashion preferences. Ultimately, Clara chose a white gold hoop—an elegant, hypoallergenic option that exuded subtle sophistication. White gold also aligned with her feng shui, helping her maintain balance in both work and life. This final decision left Clara feeling excited and eagerly anticipating the piercing appointment. 3. Bute Tai Chi

Testimonial "Personal online Tai Chi lessons with Alex Swainson are improving my mobility, my posture and my thinking.  I've been having the lessons each week for nearly a year.  In spite of me having learnt Tai Chi about 20 years ago, Alex has reintroduced me to the underlying principles and practice.  He is a thoughtful teacher, sharing the knowledge from his personal research into the movement and balance of the human body and mind.  He puts a strong emphasis on using the natural force of gravity to move in the easiest, most effective and most powerful way. I find it combats the mobility problems associated with ageing.  His teaching is supportive and informative, feeding back on the way I move as I go through the Tai Chi form, picking up on the problems that he sees and working on how to overcome them. He is a mine of information on the way the human body works in terms of its posture, spine positions and movements, the movement of joints and the working of the nervous system.   Through the 1 to 1 online relationship, Alex demonstrates the application of the principles he has learnt and developed, both in demonstrating the Tai Chi form but also in the movements that are necessary not just for good Tai Chi, but for use and application in our everyday lives.   Alex makes a recording of each lesson which he sends to me to help with my practice during the time between lessons.   Learning online can sometimes be more difficult in explaining movements or postures compared to face to face learning, where the teacher can make physical interventions to show what's needed.  However, the recordings are invaluable for seeing things again, watching myself in action, picking up things that Alex has said that I'd missed the significance of in the session itself.   Watching myself performing the Tai Chi form is often a revelation of the difference between what I think I'm doing and what I'm actually doing! I am getting a great deal out of the learning sessions.  I have met a number of Tai Chi teachers and in my experience Alex is as principled, thoughtful and capable as a teacher as any that I have met.  And I have worked with some good ones.  The lessons are challenging, no doubt about it.  But Alex takes care to work at my pace and is very clear that the learning I do for myself is the key to the development of my understanding and the improvement of my practice.  Being able to move well in older age is a thing to treasure and nurture and in this Alex is helping me enjoy my later life." Offer Description Learn Tai Chi at your own pace with expert guidance. Alex is a highly experienced teacher with deep knowledge of the art, making him ideally suited to one-to-one teaching. Standing 60-minute slots are available on TUESDAYS ONLY. Sessions can be purchased in blocks of 3 or 6 months, which includes video recordings of each session as an essential reference for practice.  N.B. This offer is for people who want to seriously invest in their own self-healing. If you are ready to commit to an authentic practice rooted in an understanding of how to harness the forces of nature for health, wellbeing & personal development, then I'm here for you. THE OFFER COMES WITH A 30-DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.

EIFA International School London

eifa international school london

About EIFA EIFA’s philosophy EIFA is an independent, international, secular school providing an English-French bilingual education. EIFA takes a child-centred approach to learning and encourages the linguistic diversity of its students – developing responsible global citizens, and promoting multicultural understanding through study in at least two languages. EIFA is the only school in the UK to teach all core subjects in English and French – from day nursery to year 13. Most parents would agree it is vital that our children grow up with an openness to, and a deep acceptance of different cultures. This must start with language. It is language that frames our lives and by being bilingual we gain an insight into other cultures. Language skills are also a powerful springboard when it comes to gaining admission into the most challenging universities and workplaces. At EIFA we foster open-minded and flexible citizens of the world who will find themselves at home in more than one culture, communicate in more than one language, understand the views of others and how these are shaped and mix with people of a variety of backgrounds and cultures. We encourage students to reflect on and accept responsibility for their own learning by presenting opportunities for inter-disciplinary research projects where they explore subjects of interest, employing critical thinking skills to select, analyse and evaluate different sources of information in order to offer solutions to the issues raised in class discussions. We equip each student with the requisite tools to achieve their potential by pursuing an internationally accredited education. We provide internationally recognised programmes in the iGCSE and the IB Diploma which encourage learners to acquire social skills as well as academic skills, and foster a desire to promote peace and understanding in our world. History EIFA was founded by Sabine Dehon, a teacher with more than 30 years of teaching experience, and Isabelle Faulkner, an international lawyer. They met in 2007 in London, when Isabelle was looking for a bilingual independent school and they started to talk about a vision for a rather different kind of offering. The vision was of a bilingual school, but one that would creatively combine the rigorous academic approach of the French curriculum with the breadth and excitement of the English one. Thus was EIFA born.
