Like thousands of parents across the UK, mother of three, ReedahEl-Saiewas frustrated with an antiquated education system originally designed post industrial revolution to prepare children for factory work. She had witnessed how exams and revision had caused her children stress and anxiety, resulting in them losing their love of learning. As a family of diverse heritage Reedahalso hoped for a more inclusive curriculum both in terms of content and delivery. In winter 2018, whilst preparing her son for 11+, Reedah came across Fortnite which her sons during revision breaks. She noticed how the 3D open world, multi-player, action game appealed to children across the world. She imagined 3D open world, educational game, including diverse characters and stories, fully aligned with the UK national curriculum and entrance exams, enabling learning through play. After extensive but fruitless research for a pre-existing educational mobile games app aligned with the UK national curriculum, Reedahfounded BrainsparkGames (previosulyXplorealms). Her vision was to create a 3D open world, celebrating diverse characters, using awesome immersive technology to engage wider audiences as well as BAME, vulnerable and neurodiverse. She researched the twenty-first century skills movement and flip schools and held workshops and interviewed children, parents and teachers to ensure a user-led product. Brainsparkwas founded in in November 2019 and is on a mission to revolutionise the way children learn in every corner of the world!

Peculiar Generation Services Ltd is a non-profit organisation limited by guarantee. Their vision is to contribute to the development of the Lancashire community by way of offering their services to the needs of people in the community. Our focus is on how to help rough sleepers, drug-addicted people, young and middle-aged people going through challenges of life. We believe that everyone has a right to shelter in Lancashire, therefore there must be alternative to streets for everyone in the community. This is possible if the community can support the government by contributing their quarter towards the eradication of some of the challenges confronting the grass root. Our aims and activities are to provide shelter for homeless and rough sleepers during cold weather between December and March of every year. During this period we will accommodate them, feed them and provide enabling environment for them. Our research discovered that young adult is now engaging with the drug without caution. It is our concern to have a society that is free of violence and the way we can tackle this seeming problem is to nip it in the bud by way of engaging this young adult through seminar and training. Adults. We will design a program for these people that have gone through abuse and still going through figment of imagination which has caused them depression.

Robyn is a Bristol-based director, teacher and performer. With over 20 years experience she is a passionate practitioner of clowning, physical theatre, circus and street arts. She has a MA in Circus Directing, a Diploma of Physical Theatre Practice and trained with a long line of inspiring teachers including Holly Stoppit, Peta Lily, Giovanni Fusetti, Jon Davison, Zuma Puma and Deanna Fleysha. Robyn has collaborated with companies including Let’s Circus, The Sexual Health Circus and Whispering Wood Folk and performed with acclaimed physical theatre companies including, Derevo, Akhe, Oceanallover, and Gappad as well as her own award-winning company, Fun in the Oven Theatre. During the pandemic in 2020, Robyn set up The Online Clown Academy with Holly Stoppit and developed a series of Zoom Clown Courses. Robyn’s research, started during her Masters, has been exploring the meeting point of clowning and activism, online, in the real world and with international collaborators. With this drive to explore political edges of her work she has also dived back into the world of the Bouffon; training with Jaime Mears, Bim Mason, Nathaniel Justiniano, Eric Davis, Tim Licata, Al Seed and the grand master Bouffon-himself; Philippe Gaulier. She has also set up the Laboratory of the Un-beautiful; a collaboration with Deborah Antoinette Bard, exploring the bouffon & grotesque with womxn theatre makers.

I am Jacqui Shankly, and I have worked for over 20 years supporting families with young children. I began working in Early Years community music for the charity sector, working with families throughout Staffordshire and the West Midlands. I loved my work, and what fascinated me most was the power of music to stimulate fun, playfulness, conversations and connection between children and their parents and carers. So began a lifetime of interest and research into early childhood development and attachment, culminating in training as a Play Therapist and founding Moonbeams CIC, an organisation dedicated to promoting positive childhood mental health through direct work with children, and support for the adults around them. My passion and joy is working with families. Parents are their child’s first and most enduring teacher, and the family dynamic forms the basis of a child’s future view of the world. Parenting is one of the most demanding jobs in the world, and everyone needs support from time to time. My approach is playful, non-judgemental and supportive.
