NSA Afan is a member led, community based regeneration organisation that is a Company Limited by Guarantee, (3674953) and a Registered Charity, (1088934) and is governed by a Board of Director Trustees. The purpose of the organisation is to support regeneration to enable a better quality of life for people living in the most disadvantaged communities in the Swansea Bay Area. Charitable Objectives ■The promotion for the public benefit of urban or rural regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation and in particular the electoral divisions currently known as Sandfields East, West and Aberavon. ■ The advancement of education, training or retraining, particularly amongst unemployed people and providing unemployed people with work experience ■ To relieve sickness and to preserve and protect good health ■ The relief of poverty ■ To provide recreational facilities for the public at large or those who by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances have need of such facilities ■ The maintenance, improvement or provision of public amenities ■ The promotion of public safety and the prevention of crime ■ Such other means as may from time to time be determined subject to the prior written consent of the charity commissioner for England and Wales

The decision was made to lease a warehouse building in Farlington. During the summer of 1996 determination and parent power turned a warehouse into a purpose made facility. Within a month we were up and running. 2015 saw a huge rebrand and a refurbishment, to the red and black themed gym you see today. Over the last 28 years PSG has grown into an amazing ‘family’, embracing all its members past and present. This of course includes our present day 35 home grown British Gymnastics quali ed coaches, and the 500-600 children, young people and adults that pass through our doors each week. Our goal is simple ‘To provide every gymnast with the best instruction possible, in a well organised, fun- lled, safe and exciting learning environment. To build self-con dence and discipline, and allow every gymnast to work to their full potential at every level, from recreational to elite.’

But if on the other hand you are looking for something different or just want to learn a new Skill or Craft, we have a variety of courses to suit your needs. Why not check out one of our Woodland crafts, Green woodworking or Rural craft courses such as traditional Rake Making, Charcoal Making or Spoon Carving the Scandinavian way. Our instructors are very passionate about what they do and look forward to sharing their knowledge with you. Our course sizes are kept small so that you receive a great hands-on experience with a guiding hand and all within a beautiful woodland setting or at our indoor training facility by the Kennet and Avon Canal near Marlborough in Wiltshire.

I have been crocheting for years, I started with granny squares and made blankets, my passion and enthusiasm for crochet hasn’t lessened since I first learnt. Crocheting for me has now become my therapy! I run Crochet workshops to share the enjoyment of crochet with others. I run beginners and more advance workshops in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury & Evesham. Commissions and bespoke orders are my speciality, a picture or an idea can become a bespoke handmade item made for you!

All the members of our team, experts in their educational field, have a rich understanding of the training which both students and teachers need, based on our own recent experiences and research. Our team comes from a variety of educational backgrounds including work in schools, colleges, universities, awarding bodies and major educational charities, all of which has been used to create our unique curriculum and materials.
