My career as an artist started in 1996 when I was asked to illustrate articles from a national religious magazine in Italy. Through the years I developed skills in both digital illustration and hand paint with watercolour and acrylic. In 2002 I decided to take it further and attend a school of art and, in 2005, I graduated as a Comics illustrator and special effects artist. Since I was always attracted by the movie world, I decided to use my new certificate to approach this fantastic world. I worked few years for a production company which took me away from my Country of origin and gave me the opportunity to develop my skills as an artist and writer. I wrote several screenplays for the big screen and illustrated storyboards on a daily basis and here is when I started thinking about writing and illustrating stories for children. “The first tale of Sarah” in fact was born as an idea for a children’s movie but not developed more than a script. In 2015 I moved in the UK and I started working on my first personal project “The Tale of Sarah”, a three books series which I’m writing and illustrating. The first one was published in 2017 and I’m currently working on the second volume. My goal in sharing these stories is to share a message of hope with readers of all ages. As an artist I keep on developing my skills every day and trying new ways and techniques to improve my illustrations. In 2018, I enrolled BA in Illustration at the Open College of the Arts.

The Centre promotes instruction of Czech language and provides series of certified Czech language courses and exams. The Czech Centre, a contributory organization of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, opened in London in 1993. The Czech Centre is part of a worldwide network of 28 branches across four continents including the Czech Houses in Jerusalem and Bratislava. The Czech Centre was a founding member of the EUNIC cluster in London and currently presides its activities. The Office of the General Commissioner of the Czech participation at the General World Exposition EXPO has been part of the Czech Centres’ network since January 2023. The two institutions seek to deepen their cooperation through the merger and to create even greater synergies in the presentation of the Czech Republic abroad. ClayKilnCraft is an independent educational and training pottery set in the heart of Crystal Palace, South East London. Started in 2014 by ceramic artist Aliya Rashid giving wheel lessons in her studio for beginners, the company has evolved into a thriving creative space teaching people of all abilities to throw, handbuild and explore their inner artist while improving and building on their skills. After graduating in Ceramics at Camberwell College of Art with a first class honours degree, Aliya fell into teaching by accident after she was recommended by a friend to teach pottery at a centre 
for special needs adults in London. ‘It was a very challenging, but rewarding experience. I came away from that summer project completely humbled. I knew I wanted to do more. ‘It started small, with monthly lessons. When my students wanted more I found space in a basement converted toilet! And yes, it was as grim as it sounds. When it rained the smell was… very pungent! ‘I was thrilled to find the shop I’m in now. It’s taken a lot of hard work to get it to this stage. It’s all been done with sheer hard work, doing two jobs to finance everything. This is an independent studio and I’m determined it should stay that way. The atmosphere is relaxed, fun and supportive whatever my students aims are. The studio is looking fantastic and the facilities improve on a weekly basis. ‘As well as core courses and classes for beginners and intermediates, we now offer open access to people of all abilities. The studio helps people to develop at their own pace to make what interests them whether they are hobby potters and just want to relax after a hard days work or they are serious potters looking to sell or exhibit their work. We believe that everyone should be given an opportunity to try one of our classes for FREE, so we’re offering you a FREE Kickboxing workout trial lesson first so you can come down, have a go and experience the thrill of a proper kickboxing class without it actually costing you anything. In your lesson, we will take you through a warm up to include some full body conditioning drills as well as some basic stretching. Thereafter we will partner you up with another student if you come alone, or you can work together if you bring a friend, and we’ll take you through some simple kickboxing drills that you will then practice in turn on focus pads, kicking shields or punch bags (all supplied). This will be a non-contact training session.
