Muswell Hill Creatives was founded in Muswell Hill, North London in 2014 and brings together local artists and makers united by a desire to create original, high-quality products through skilled workmanship. This small collective includes those who have had full careers in the creative sector, as well as some who have re-trained in areas they have long been interested in or have simply returned to an old passion for creating.

eco glitter fun

Eco Glitter fun was born from two fun-loving party animals, whose mission is to bring responsible sparkles and plastic pollution awareness to the world. We sell biodegradable glitter pots and sets online, via retailers and we partner with brands, events, and influencers - all in aid of spreading the 'reduce plastic' message. Supporting ocean & LGBTQ+ charities 1% of our website sales goes to Ocean Generation, an inclusive global movement  that exists to restore a sustainable relationship between humanity and the Ocean. They see a world where the Ocean is freed from human threats within a generation. We donate via Work for Good.  L UNIQUE Plastic-free packaging We sell our biodegradable glitter in plastic-free packaging and strive to reduce the amount of plastic used in every aspect of our business.   We strongly believe that we need to protect our precious earth from further damage and do everything we can to reverse the harm that 100 years of plastic has created. We hope you use our glitter to help educate people on how to reduce their plastic consumption. In 2018, Sophie created the Eco Glitter Fun Glitter Artist Training course and has taught over 100 people in person and dozens globally via her unique "Learn to be a glitter artist course" . Many of her  We are official Bioglitter® licensed resellers.    Our eco glitter is made from a biodegradable cellulose film. This means that once its in the natural environment, microbes consume it, causing no harm to Mother Earth.    Guilt-free sparkles from Eco Glitter Fun.

I set up cheekyhandmades after I left my job 2010. I really wanted to use all my creative skills, skills I’d had for many years but never had time to use any more, and skills I realised I could and wanted to pass on. I also wanted to work for myself, I wanted to be able to work around my children. And I am doing all of that now, and am loving it. I get to be surrounded by like minded people, great fabrics, my kids and cats, and listen to music all day. I get to decide what I do every day and how I do it.

Beverley and Nigel Caleno own, run and are fully immersed in all aspects of Old Bank Studios life. We bought the Old Bank in Harwich in 2011. Having brought up and educated a family in Colchester, we were looking for a change of lifestyle and an opportunity to build on Bev’s Interior and Soft Furnishing business. Falling in love with this magnificent building and the unspoilt, faded charm of Harwich town, where beautiful architecture sits alongside maritime industry and stunning estuary views…….. we took the plunge. Bev very quickly opened her Textile Studio and it soon became clear that demand for her workshops and courses was going from strength to strength. Encouraged by this success, the decision was made to start inviting tutors from outside to deliver workshops; we were going to need more space! And so began a full restoration of the main banking hall; with it’s high ceiling, perfect light and ample space, our new Art Studio was created. As time went on a kitchen was installed in the former bank vault. Since our first Art Workshop in June 2013, we have successfully run hundreds of one day events and longer courses, attracting many of the country’s leading artists and tutors to work with us. Our reputation has spread far and wide and we regularly welcome students from the four corners of the UK, as well as further afield. On a personal level we both continue to explore and develop our own creativity and hold an annual exhibition of our work. Bev is firmly established as a Textile Artist and more recently a painter in Watercolour, whilst Nigel works in in many media, but is gaining a reputation as a Plein Air Oil Painter. We look forward to welcoming you to the Old Bank Studios very soon.
