We are based in Birmingham and work collaboratively regionally, nationally and internationally. We build relationships between artists, people and organisations and encourage the sharing of ideas, skills and knowledge. ClayKilnCraft is an independent educational and training pottery set in the heart of Crystal Palace, South East London. Started in 2014 by ceramic artist Aliya Rashid giving wheel lessons in her studio for beginners, the company has evolved into a thriving creative space teaching people of all abilities to throw, handbuild and explore their inner artist while improving and building on their skills. After graduating in Ceramics at Camberwell College of Art with a first class honours degree, Aliya fell into teaching by accident after she was recommended by a friend to teach pottery at a centre 
for special needs adults in London. ‘It was a very challenging, but rewarding experience. I came away from that summer project completely humbled. I knew I wanted to do more. ‘It started small, with monthly lessons. When my students wanted more I found space in a basement converted toilet! And yes, it was as grim as it sounds. When it rained the smell was… very pungent! ‘I was thrilled to find the shop I’m in now. It’s taken a lot of hard work to get it to this stage. It’s all been done with sheer hard work, doing two jobs to finance everything. This is an independent studio and I’m determined it should stay that way. The atmosphere is relaxed, fun and supportive whatever my students aims are. The studio is looking fantastic and the facilities improve on a weekly basis. ‘As well as core courses and classes for beginners and intermediates, we now offer open access to people of all abilities. The studio helps people to develop at their own pace to make what interests them whether they are hobby potters and just want to relax after a hard days work or they are serious potters looking to sell or exhibit their work. jj's motorcycle training

We are motorcycle people. That means we care about you and your safety. Established in 2014, JJ's Motorcycle Training is owned and run as a family business. Dave and Amanda took over the daily running of the business in 2020 and continue to promote the ethos of safe riding at all levels. Amanda rides regularly and on every opportunity available but we do have to restrict her to the office sometimes to take your calls and bookings. Dave has been riding motorcycles for 45 years and training for nearly 30 years, with well in excess of a million miles covered in the saddle; you will usually find Dave out and about with the trainees, but mostly doing as he's been told by Amanda. Dave is committed to raising the standard of instruction across the industry but to still ensure that learning to ride is enjoyable. Our progressive learning policy ensures that there is a training package suitable for everyone whatever your age, riding ability or previous experience. Jim White Jim spent 30 years in the RAF and has been riding motorbikes since he was 14. He has a passion (some would say an obsession) for motorcycling, and his sole aim is to contribute to improving road safety among motorcyclists; the most vulnerable road users. Jim started the company in 2014 and despite retiring, remains available part time to instruct, when not travelling the globe on another adventure. Gordon Gordon is the newest member of the team and is currently training with us to gain his full instructor status. He has been riding for many years and on a variety of different machines; his calm approach and clear instructions helps put new riders at ease. Our team of highly qualified DVSA approved instructors will ensure that you receive the best quality training available in the UK today. At JJ's Motorcycle Training we know that motorcycling makes practical sense, but it's more than a means to get you from point A to point B, it’s your freedom.
