Who is n-ergy? n-ergy is an independent specialist training provider whose story began in 2007 when n-ergy was set up by award-winning entrepreneur, Donna Turner-Kot, to work with offenders and ex-offenders throughout the UK. n-ergy’s head office is based in Bridgend, South Wales and operates across England and Wales. What do we do? n-ergy is a passionate advocate of supporting hard-to-reach individuals develop new skills and gain nationally recognised qualifications prior to release. n-ergy provides a seamless service by delivering vocational training, short courses and employability programmes to those in custody; followed by employment support so they may secure sustainable work on release, successfully re-integrate into their local communities and make a fresh start! Who works for n-ergy? n-ergy currently employs 20+ people across Wales and England. All of n-ergy’s Training Advisors deliver vocational training within a number of prison establishments located in North and South Wales and the following regions in England: South Central, Midlands and the North West. n-ergy’s business support functions are based at its Head Office in South Wales. As an advocate of supporting ex-offenders into sustainable employment on release, n-ergy has employed a number of individuals on ROTL and ex-offenders on release within its business within its business support functions.

Hi, I'm Ivan Newman. Ever since my wife, Vivien, walked into my life on her first day at uni, dyslexia and dyspraxia have been the norm for me. In fact, we would never had met had she not been completely lost! Over the years we have come to know both the 'ups' and the 'downs' of these specific learning difficulties in both our immediate family and more widely. We know at first hand how 'the system' means that people with dyslexia or dyspraxia are unfairly and unjustifiably labelled and often discriminated against. After a first degree in Physics and Computing, I worked for many years with major international companies. This involved legal, financial, technology, sales, marketing, projects, internal communications and managerial areas. I travelled the globe! Then, as often happens, the company was taken over and I decided that the new company's culture wasn't for me. So, I left.

The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) is an independent charity working to benefit students and higher education, and one of the world’s experts in quality assurance. We are trusted by higher education providers and regulatory bodies to maintain and enhance quality and standards. We work with governments, agencies and institutions globally to benefit UK higher education and its international reputation. In England, we have two distinct roles, which we keep separate through an ‘ethical barrier’ or firewall. A ring-fenced team fulfils our role as the Designated Quality Body in England, providing reviews and advice to the regulator, the Office for Students (OfS). Separately, we provide services and advice to our member institutions in England, including support with quality enhancement activities. We do not provide any guidance to institutions in England on how to meet the regulator’s requirements. In Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, there is no such separation of roles, and our quality enhancement and membership work is provided in concert with, and informed by, our quality assurance activities. We work closely with all higher education providers and the respective funders and regulators, in line with the policy and regulatory approach of each nation. Our UK-wide responsibilities include being the regulator of the Access to HE Diploma, which transforms lives by offering students from non-traditional backgrounds access to higher education. We also work internationally on behalf of our members and the wider UK higher education sector. We now welcome international members as well as those from the UK.

Since 2016, IllumEducation has been supporting students, KS2 – KS5 (8 – 18 yrs)to take back control of their confidence for their learning. Support is offered through both our reliable digital platform and by traditional face to face approach. In some situations, both methods are blended to deliver best results. Early Years is the largest organisation in Northern Ireland working with and for young children. We are a non-profit making organisation and have been working since 1965 to promote high quality childcare for children aged 0 - 18 and their families. Early Years is a membership-based organisation, a registered charity, a company limited by guarantee and is governed by a Board of Directors. On 1st November 2007 we changed our name to Early Years - the organisation for young children. When we started our work in 1965 NIPPA stood for Northern Ireland Pre-School Playgroup Association, but as our work developed we realised that this did not fully reflect all that we do so we changed our name to NIPPA - the early years organisation. In 2005 we realised that our work had moved on again and after consultation with members and stakeholders we voted to change our name to Early Years - the organisation for young children. Currently Early Years provides information and training for parents, childcare providers, employers and local authorities.
