The company is made out of three theatre practitioners, who trained at East 15 Acting school, giving them a wide skill set, including Facilitation, Puppetry, Devising, Dance, Musical theatre and Shakespeare.

Andy is a professional of many talents who has the ability to make any situation an enjoyable and entertaining one. Described as a real life Mr Benn not only with costume but also skilled with voice-over, face & body painting, balloon modelling and puppetry. Andy began a full time NHS career as a Registered Nurse in Accident & Emergency and after moving into management and then training became self employed which allowed him to build on his experience of performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He continues to provide training in his own unique style and performances that include stand up and street theatre talents. His creation: The Gold Man became synonymous with the Hull 2017 UK City of Culture bid. Kate Copstick (Scotsman newspaper) described Andy as a warm, funny, camp entertaining guy but we’ll let you decide!

Manchester School of Samba (MSS) (click here for office contact details)., a fine, friendly bunch of people and the first Samba School in the NW of England, which formed in March 1995 to foster the appreciation of Brazilian Carnival culture through rhythm, melody, dance, puppetry and simple costumes. MSS have provided an often life enhancing introduction to percussion and dance for hundreds of people as well as an opportunity for some to make new friends, build on their knowledge and strengths, be inspired and subsequently make it part of their life. We currently have 50+ fully fledged members including dancers and drummers, and for special occasions also like to recruit a brass section and puppeteers. We focus on Brazilian Carnival Art forms, and teach rhythms & dances from different parts of Brazil at all levels from beginners to advanced and are open to all people.

We are Life Education East Midlands and we were formed on the 1st April 2022 following the amalgamation of Life Education Nottinghamshire and Life Education Northamptonshire. From the 1st August 2022 Life Education East Midlands were delighted to be joined by Life Education Leicestershire. We are a specialist charity provider of high quality health, well-being and drug prevention education working with primary schools across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Rutland. Our aim is to equip young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to make choices that will help them to live healthier, happier lives. We are a delivery partner of Coram life Education, the UK’s leading health and drug education organisation. Bringing health and well-being to life, our regularly updated programmes, keeping in line with demand and trends, have been created by child development experts to be stimuli-rich and interactive. This is achieved through puppetry, role play, and film clips to capture children’s imaginations and develop critical thinking and risk management skills. Nottinghamshire also works alongside Nottingham City Council and Inspire Learning to deliver courses to parents and carers.

WHAT IS THEATRE GYM? Theatre Gym is an acting school that teaches adult beginners. We run mainly acting classes but also some writing, puppetry and all things fun that are from the performance world. HOW WE TEACH We teach acting skills in a creative and playful way. Good actors can create characters, moments and atmospheres. Good actors enjoy what they do and play with stories and characters.   We don’t have teachers with sticks that look at you with small eyes over their glasses. We have lovely people who are good actors who love helping other people. We want to see you enjoy the art of pretending to be someone else. WHO IS IT FOR? Most of our students have no experience or very little experience. Some of our students did some acting back in school, or took a few acting classes or an improv course and enjoyed it. Some of our students know they like acting and want to have it in their lives. Some want to try it for the first time to see if they like it. Some feel they need it to be more confident on stage and with people. Some are looking for a creative and playful spot in their week. A few of our students are performers who want to keep in shape.

Theatre in Schools Scotland brings bold, inspiring, live theatre and dance productions into Scotland's primary schools and nurseries.  The year-round programme of touring performances offers schools and teachers the opportunity to present acclaimed shows, created especially for younger audiences, for pupils at school. Performances take place in the school hall or in classrooms and are available to book anywhere in Scotland. This year, Theatre in Schools Scotland is thrilled to welcome One of Two and Ginger to the programme plus Poggle and Me made especially for ASN pupils. The new Theatre in Schools Scotland 2024 - 25 programme of performances for nursery, primary and ASN schools is now on sale and available to book. Cost for Poggle and Me is £550 + VAT per day, for 2x performances (for around 8 children each). Get in touch for more details. BOOKING NOW GINGER: (Tortoise in a Nutshell) uses puppetry, magic and play to tell the tale of a misshapen gingerbread person, discarded and marked for the bin, inspiring a picture-perfect kitchen to come alive. Touring Autumn 2024 and Winter 2025. For P1-P4 ONE OF TWO: Jack Hunter/Independent Arts Projects) is a one-man comedy drama about two twins growing up with cerebral palsy. Each twin had a very different experience navigating childhood and school. This award-winning autobiographical show celebrates disability and diversity. Touring Autumn 2024. For P7 & S1-S2 POGGLE AND ME: (Barrowland Ballet) was created with and for pupils with complex needs such as autism and invites audiences to join Poggle, a friendly creature, on a sensory and interactive adventure through the forest. Touring Spring 2025.
