Caroline Waldegrave is the founding Principal, former Managing Director and co-owner of Leiths School of Food and Wine, one of the most prestigious and respected cookery schools in the country. After 33 years’ involvement, Caroline retired and became a non-executive director on the board of Leith’s in 2009. She was also Chairman of the Guild of Food Writers for several years, and a former member of the Health Education Authority. Caroline was awarded an OBE in 2000 for services to the UK catering industry. Her passion and enthusiasm for teaching and love of food have continued to be the fundamental drivers of Caroline’s work. Since stepping back from day-to-day involvement in Leith’s School, Caroline has focused on imparting her wealth of cookery knowledge at Dudwell School, on the site of the beautiful Waldegrave family home, Dudwell Field Farm. In addition, she owns the Barley Mow pub in London's Marylebone with three of her four children, as well as being a director of the family organic dairy farm. Caroline is also in demand for media appearances, and has been seen on various TV and radio programmes, including Chef School, Masterchef and Tricks of the Trade. In what spare time she does have, Caroline enjoys playing bridge and tennis, and attending the theatre. Publishing Caroline is the author or co-author of a range of cookery books. Big White Shed opened its doors in 2015 to support the completion of projects by helping find those missing 'bits' needed for a successful outcome. Initially an idea brought about by the frustration of finding a publisher for her novel, founder Anne Holloway decided to do it herself! Tired of waiting for someone to publish her book and spurred on by positive comments from those who had read it, and the success of other authors who had taken control for themselves, she decided to do the same and set up a small press. Drawing on contacts made over the years, she managed the production of the novel from editing, designing, print sourcing and type setting through to marketing and managing sales. She had to buy in services, trade expertise, ask favours, and more importantly than that, was propelled forward by the belief of others in what she was doing. The success of the project made her determined to support others in 'doing it themselves'. As well as first hand experience of small-scale publishing, she has expertise in coaching and mentoring, writing, editing, performing, teaching and sales management. She has a strong track record in the retail and entertainments industries, has set up and run small organisations, was co-director of East Midlands poetry collective Mouthy Poets for 6 years, Creative Director of Nottingham Poetry Festival in 2021 and 2022 and writes and performs her own work.  Ishin Ryu Ju Jitsu (jiujitsu) currently has in excess of 2,000 students, both Infants (4 – 7 years) Juniors (8 – 12 years) Teenagers (13 – 15 years) and Adults (16 – 80 years) training regularly in separate classes throughout its clubs in England. Kevin is also an established author and was invited to write two books, now in several languages, on the subject of Ju Jitsu (jiujitsu) by the publishing giants, Barnes & Nobel, Alan Clark Books, Connections and Edison Sadd, along with a 32 page section for the internationally-acclaimed “The Ultimate Book of Martial Arts”, which has gone on to being one of the best-selling martial books of all time, and printed in several languages. Since the early 90’s, Kevin has received invitations to teach his no-nonsense style of Jiu Jitsu from around the globe, attracting international attention from many of the world’s leading close protection agencies and military Special Forces. Kevin has served with the Royal Marine Reserve (City of London), the Royal Military Police (253 Pro Coy) and as a dog handler in The Parks Police completing his service at the rank of Sergeant. Kevin also worked for six years as a professional close protection officer, having been personally invited to join an elite team drawn from Britain’s Special Forces, being primarily responsible for the personal security of the Dubai Royal family. In November 1997, Kevin moved to Norfolk and established the Ishin Ryu Ju Jitsu (jiujitsu) headquarters in the picturesque village of Caston, where he personally teaches twice a week in the evening aside of his professional duties as the founder and chief instructor. In 2001 Kevin was inducted in to Combat Magazine’s Black Belt Hall of Fame held at the Aston Villa Conference Centre in Birmingham , and in 2003 was invited back to receive a “Guardian of the Martial Arts” award. In 2011 Kevin was once again invited back to the Combat Hall of Fame awards held at the Aston Villa Conference Centre in Birmingham where he was officially honoured and recognised for his service to the world of Martial Arts with a “Lifetime Achievement Award”… In November 2013 Kevin was invited to the “Martial Arts Illustrated” Hall of Fame awards where he was presented with a “Lifetime Achievement Award”…

The Giles Foreman Centre for Acting is a dynamic professional acting studio based in Soho, in the heart of London; together with GFCA International Centres in Europe and USA. We are the leading Centre for Character Analysis. We provide distinctive, enjoyably rigorous and person-centred training for aspiring individuals and professional actors – taught by some of the leading acting, movement, voice, analysis, improvisation and camera-technique coaches available. If you choose to come to GFCA, we provide many ways to participate; regular part-time acting classes; short intensive workshops; one-to-one coaching; and 2-, 3- and 4-term full-time courses. Since March 2020 we have also embraced a wider, global community through online training, particularly in Character Analysis, Movement Psychology and advanced scene-study with Giles Foreman. People new to acting can discover the skills through our beginners’ classes and workshops, progressing onward part-time; or take our Foundation Acting ATCL Diploma over 3 terms (Saturday, and evening route). Those who think they may be ready – you may have have previous acting or performing experience, have studied at University, or come via other routes – audition for our 4-term 16-month advanced intensive Acting Diploma (Post-Graduate equivalent-level). Ours is amongst the most affordable courses of its kind in the country, and yet it is built around intensive teaching by renowned coaches, with small class sizes designed to develop people as thoroughly as possible. It is vigorous, focussed, demanding; based on a huge tradition, producing actors with skills tailored for the modern film, TV and theatre industries. Pro weekend session Professional actors come to develop their skills through acting classes and workshops with top practitioners from all over the world – and to create projects in both film and theatre. Actors can use studio coaches and facilities to prepare for auditions, and to develop in-depth characters for film roles that they have already secured. Alongside actor-training, GFCA offers casting and coaching-services, and scriptwriting development to the film industry. Due to our location in Soho, centre of the UK media industries, GFCA also offers many opportunities to meet casting directors, directors and producers through regular events; plays, showcases, castings, play-readings and Industry events. The acting philosophy at the studio was developed from that of the original Drama Centre London under Christopher Fettes, Yat Malmgren and Reuven Adiv, who together trained some of the leading UK actors of recent years – from Sean Connery, Anthony Hopkins, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Simon Callow, Geraldine James, Frances de la Tour – to Helen McCrory, Anne Marie Duff, Paul Bettany, Tara Fitzgerald, Lambert Wilson, Michael Fassbender, Tom Hardy, Santiago Cabrera, Gwendoline Christie, Ryan Gage and John Simm, to name but a few. Christopher Fettes, founder of Drama Centre London, holds the title of tutor-emeritus for our studio. The teaching process utilises a system of methods within Realism. We are one of the very few centres in the world providing detailed training courses in the extraordinary Laban/Jungian technique of Character Analysis / Movement Psychology developed by Yat Malmgren, to develop people’s psychological understanding both of themselves and the characters they are playing. Our holistic acting education is influenced by Stanislavski, as well as the philosophy of Lee Strasberg, Uta Hagen, Stella Adler and Sanford Meisner, creating actors capable of sophisticated, transformative performance. The Centre has relationships with other similar organisations around the world and offers many exchange programmes. In 2015 we opened our sister centre, GFCA Paris, joining GFCA International bases in other cities such as New York & LA; GFCA Luxembourg, and GFCA Zürich We have substantial expertise in delivering Corporate training both in the UK and abroad. Futsal began in the South American countries of Uruguay and Brazil where, in the 1930’s, two versions of Small Sided Soccer were being played in the cities of Montevideo and Sao Paulo respectively. In Brazil, the large crowded cities and a shortage of playing pitches forced a soccer mad populace to play small sided soccer. A version began to develop on the streets of Sao Paulo, leading to the publishing of the first rules of the game in 1936 from the country that would soon become the masters of the game. Skills and techniques honed in Futsal soon began to become apparent in the performance of Brazil’s National Team – Pele, Rivelino and Zico all played the game at some time in their development. The adoption of the game by FIFA has led to its spread throughout the world. There are large numbers of registered players in Europe, South America and Asia. There are more than 50 national leagues and even Professional Futsal leagues in Brazil, Iran, Japan, Italy, Portugal, Spain & Russia. Futsal gets terrestrial TV coverage in Spain, Italy, Brazil, Croatia, Romania, Ukraine and Russia. Futsal is the fastest growing indoor sport in the world, and is the small sided football format that is officially recognised by both UEFA and FIFA. The nature of the game places a large emphasis on technical skill and ability in situations of high pressure, and is subsequently an excellent breeding ground for football competencies that can be translated into the 11-a-side format of the game. Futsal was the name chosen by FIFA, which is simply a combination of the Spanish words for ‘hall’ (Sala) and ‘football’ (Futbol): hence ‘Futsal’. Many of the top world class footballers played Futsal in their youth and credit it with supporting their footballing development; players of the calibre of Pele, Zico, Ronaldinho, Kaka and Lionel Messi to name but a few of the South American legends who all played and enjoyed Futsal. But Futsal has not just helped produce South American football stars. On the European stage Cristiano Ronaldo, Deco, Xavi and Fabregas, amongst many others, have played Futsal to develop their skills.
