We are a successful, ambitious and high-performing school at the heart of the local community. At Tytherington School, we pride ourselves on our high standards which enables us to provide first-class learning experiences for all students. As Headteacher, and a parent myself, I make no apology for having a very simple and uncomplicated view of what makes an exceptional school. At Tytherington School we have a calm and supportive environment which is characterised by respectful relationships between the teachers and students. There is a very clear focus on delivering high academic standards for all students. We encourage all students to strive to fulfil their potential wherever their interests or talents may lie. Excellent teaching and learning is at the core of our approach. We provide all our students with a forward looking and rich curriculum which allows them to develop the skills and knowledge required to grasp any opportunities the future may present. Our ethos encourages students to be articulate, resilient, courageous, curious and have the confidence to stand up for what they believe in. We are very proud of our strong culture of academic success at key stages 4 and 5. We offer a wide range of courses which enable all students to thrive. Tytherington is a safe and happy school where there is a sense of pride amongst students. If you want to know more about us please arrange a visit, we would love to see you. Hillview School for Girls is a unique learning establishment. Our ethos is built around a broad and balanced education where students are able to explore their interests and talents, whilst making good progress across a range of academic and foundation subjects. Our specialism in Performing and Visual Arts and outstanding attainment across a wide range of curriculum areas enables all of our students to develop their passions within a safe and supportive environment. As a school we strive to support each and every child to realise their dreams and ambitions. We realise that this requires a strong balance between exploring and developing their skills and understanding throughout their learning and harnessing their interests. Our strong pastoral system supports our students in their decision-making, confidence-building and resilience, which will serve them so well in an ever-changing and challenging world. Our mixed sixth form offers one of the widest subject ranges in the local area, across multiple specialist academic and vocational courses. Our curriculum offers students the flexibility to specialise in one area or keep a wide subject base. Our new Performing Arts studio route provides our students with the industry experience to secure their progression into their chosen field or on to university study. We are highly aspirational for all our Key Stage 5 students and actively support their progression onto university by leading them through the application process and developing their transferable, personal skills and independent learning skills to ensure they are successful in their subsequent studies. Students develop their understanding of the local community through varied community and business links and fundraising opportunities. Our new Science HUB, offers members of the community the chance to experience lectures from top scientists, which also supports our students’ exploration into high academic, aspirational career pathways. Our highly active and dedicated PTA offer a range of events throughout the year, for students and parents. Their hard work and effort continues to support our students by providing facilities such as a school minibus or covered seating areas. They are always looking for new members to support their on-going projects. We are entering a new and exciting time, which will see the school moving from strength to strength, building upon our current position as one of the highest attaining non-selective schools in Kent; with 61% of our students leaving with 5 A*-C including English and Maths. Together, as a school, we will be building an outstanding provision for the future, where students will take a highly active role within the wider school development and their own learning journey. Our students access a highly personalised curriculum which enables each individual to progress at a rate suitable to their needs. A student’s successful progression through the school is dependent upon a strong partnership and network and I ask all parents to support their children and the school by promoting positive learning behaviours and engaging their child in discussions about their work.

Does the thought of giving birth make you quake? Have you considered a caesarean because it seems like a simpler way? Are you bombarded by horror stories about birth? If so, you are NOT alone!  These are some of the things that I've seen and heard over the years that I've been teaching, and I thought them too! There IS a way to prepare for a positive birth, and it's not all woo woo and weird. It's based in physiology (how the body works) and psychology (how the mind works). Put those together and you've got the basis of hypnobirthing. Many think that hypnobirthing is simply controlled breathing and some pictures of roses, but is is so much more. . . and you learn why breathing and pictures are helpful too.  Not only do you learn about the techniques you learn how to navigate the maternity systems that are in your area, and how to get the best birth with the resources available.  In my courses you will learn: * physiology of birth - how the body works in labour and birth * hypnotherapy for birth - releasing fears and building confidence * techniques for birth - breathing and practical applications * birth positions - why different postures matter * birth partners - how to be an amazing birth partner * the system - how to understand and navigate the maternity system in your area * labour and birth - what it looks like, feels like and when to use the techniques your used * place of birth - where can you have your baby? What options do you have? And much, much more. You have options of online, in person, group and private courses. Groups are kept small so that you can have as personalised experience as possible. Private classes are bespoke to you, with options for times, dates, location and content. With nearly 20 years experience of teaching hypnobirthing to parents, midwives, obstetricians and mentoring, I have the knowledge and experience to help you to have a wonderful birth. Whether this is your first or tenth baby, whether you're planning a home birth or a caesarean, I have the tools to help YOU.  This is the gift that you can give your baby before they are born, and in doing so, you will give yourself the gift of stepping into parenthood calmly, confidently and happily!

Kick A Habit™ Approach The approach created by Caroline Anderson NGH, MSc Psychology, BSc Clinical Hypnotherapy, Dip. Personnel Management,  when working with many clients as a therapist in Harley Street in London,  is simple and effective. It is based on the premise that your habitual way of responding to your world in some area or multiple parts of your life isn't working for you and that if you want to experience something better, changing your habitual responses works.  It is formed around the word Habit; H    Honesty A    Actions and Accountability B    Beliefs and Behaviours I     Identity and Imagination T    Trust and Time Are you ready to feel better? Do you want to drop a lifestyle habit that is impacting you negatively? Do you manage stress with ineffectual yet habitual coping strategies that you want to upgrade thoroughly, and efficiently?  Do you experience heightened persistent anxiety or use food or alcohol to self-medicate? Would you like the support and guidance of a skilled facilitator of habit change to help you take action and halt your self-destruction now?  Courses, Workshops, Quests, Personal Training, Therapy  If you are sure that you are ready to feel better, then I would love to work with you to achieve that. The online courses are always accessible to you on demand and are designed to be both effective and efficient. They are courses of action that include hypnosis designed to lead you through the process of improving your old responses to your world with the aim of achieving your desired outcome. We also offer workshops, masterclasses and one-to-one training and therapy. May You Be Happy, Caroline Anderson CMA
