On behalf of the faculty, may I extend a warm welcome to you from the Institute
of Counselling. Uniquely, our courses integrate counselling theory, models and
skills to enrich and enhance your learning experience. Our site is especially
designed to be interesting, relevant, and above all, practical. We offer a
comprehensive range of distance and on-line learning: Counselling, Cognitive
Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other helping intervention courses. With the
current emphasis in many organisations on skills training even more students are
appreciating the proven flexibility of distance and online learning, with the
result that our courses are now more popular than ever.The courses are both
modular and student centred, ensuring your specific training needs are met. For
nearly twenty eight years we have provided counselling courses for the caring
professions, voluntary sectors, and individual students, both in the UK, and
overseas. From basic Certificate courses, right through to advanced two year
Diploma courses, students have turned to the Institute over the years for
additional professional qualifications and to develop their own personal skills.
