About Us K9 Connect is an indoor training and workshop location for pets. Focusing on improving animal welfare and education, we provide the general public with a modern, science-based reinforcement training option. The principals of K9 Connect are experienced animal behaviourists. Julija Kinghorn B.Sc(hons) from Southern Cross Animal Stars; and Amanda Murcutt B.AnSci from Pawsitively Great Pets. We have over 30 years combined experience in the Dog Training Industry. Together we draw a wealth of information and knowledge from all aspects of dog training and ownership. In addition, we seek to educate the professionals within the field, as well as those working with animals, to offer a professional development platform to improve skills. K9 Connect is the home of two very successful businesses - Pawsitively Great Pets and Southern Cross Animal Stars. Mel Joseph, a former financial professional of over 20 years, founded Mente Health in 201/. Having been diagnosed with mental illness in 2008, she found maintaining good health while working in her finance role challenging. She went on to leave her career and moved into technology while, in her spare time, supporting many mental health organisations. As chiropody/podiatry in the United Kingdom is a legally regulated profession within the scope of the Health Professions Order 2001 (and subsequent amendments) attention is specifically drawn to the provisions of that act and the requirements of the legal entity created for its implementation; the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). The contents of this document should be read in conjunction with the specific legal obligations and requirements placed upon Chiropodists and Podiatrists as registrants of the HCPC. Breaches of such legal requirements would additionally be regarded as breaches of the Institutes own ethical code and be dealt with in the manner laid down for such occurrence. Associates who are not HCPC registrants are still bound by the requirements of ethical, decent and lawful behaviour at all times and are subject to the same sanctions of the Board of Ethics as would apply to a HCPC registrant member. PROFESSIONAL DEFINITION “Chiropody/Podiatry” means the scientific care of the foot and directly related structures of the lower limb in health and disease in line with the best evidential paradigms existing at the time of such care. “Chiropodist/Podiatrist” is a protected professional title recognised in law and may only be used by an individual registered with the HCPC if that practice is within the United Kingdom. It is a criminal offence for such titles to be used by anyone who is not currently so registered even if they possess qualifications which relate to the titles such as diploma, certificates or degrees in chiropody or podiatry or any variation thereof which could be taken to imply they are currently registered as Chiropodists/Podiatrists. Members in practice outside the United Kingdom must comply with any legislation defining titles and their use that are applicable in their country of operation.

I qualified in 2001 as a physiotherapist and simultaneously qualified as a pilates teacher. It was my pilates career that introduced me to the world of women’s health and I worked with mums to be and new mums very early on in my career, blending my clinical knowledge as a physio with my pilates teaching. I couldn’t believe the lack of resources for women at the time and support within this period. This became even more apparent after the birth of my first born in 2006. I was a mum and physio on a mission to offer support to our female clients. I opened my first clinic (The Physiotherapy Centre) in 2006 and now manage busy clinics and classes full of mums to be and new mums in addition to other services. I also squeeze in being a Master Pilates Trainer AND have produced my own successful women’s health courses
