Lorna has been a registered childminder in Fleet, Hampshire for 20 years. Looking after children from 0-14 years in her home-based setting. In that time, she has worked alongside her husband Richard for 14 years and now works with her full-time assistant Birgit to care for her childminding children. Lorna has gained a huge amount of experience in that time which she draws upon in her teaching of childcare courses. Lorna’s teaching qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Education (PCET) and the NVQ assessor’s award. She also has ‘Early Years Professional’ (EYP) status for her work as a childminder. Lorna has been teaching for over 15 years and as a childcare tutor has worked for PACEY and Hampshire Learning. She trains childminders, preschool and nursery staff in her local area in small face to face group sessions; and by webinar for all childcare providers both close by and further afield. Lorna visits settings to support staff in raising standards and to undertake Pre-Inspection visits to be able to support the setting waiting for their Ofsted Inspection.

We are very proud of the contribution many of our past gymnasts have made to the club by continuing to undertake coaching and judging roles at our club. We consistently have new members join our dedicated committee and they have received community service awards from both state and federal parliamentarians. Hub Gymnastics Club is known for its quality of our coaches, our training programs, our encouragement of parent involvement and our commitment to providing the safest environment possible. In 2021 the club moved to a paid structure for our coaches in all our programs.
