The London School of Biodynamic Psychotherapy (LSBP) was established in 2000, at
Gerda Boyesen's request, to carry forward the professional training in
Biodynamic Body Psychotherapy previously taught at the Gerda Boyesen Centre in
Acton, London. LSBP provides a and promotes research in the field. LSBP serves
as a professional organization and has a senior membership of accredited
biodynamic psychotherapists. LSBP offers its members Continuing Professional
Development courses and in return, the members supply the school with the
academic and professional backing to maintain the high quality of its training.
The LSBP code of ethics is based on respect, humanity, confidentiality and
straightforwardness. This code applies to all relations within the School and
between the School and the public. Apart from in the UK, there are Biodynamic
Psychotherapy schools in Holland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Australia,
Brazil, Venezuela and USA. LSBP is a member of the Humanistic and Integrative
Psychotherapy College section of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy
(UKCP) and also of the Association of Biodynamic Massage Therapists
(ABMT).Through its membership of UKCP/HIPC, LSBP is directly involved in
maintaining the standards of the psychotherapy profession.
