hoofprints riding school
Brackley
At Hoofprints we rehome and rehabiliate welfare horses. When they come to us
they are withdrawn, often very underweight and weak, they require alot of
understanding and ptience to bring the best out of them. This takes months. We
have since rehomes over 21 horses in the last 9 years. “It was a delight to
visit Hoofprints today and witness its fantastic works. Lucy and her volunteers
do a wonderful job, not only in teaching local children and adults to ride, but
also in rehabilitating and caring for horses in dire need of care. “Lucy has a
wealth of expertise and it was clear that the invaluable instruction she imparts
is filling youngsters with an enthusiasm for riding which hopefully will last a
lifetime. However, the team there know as well as anyone that riding lessons,
even though Lucy’s charges are competitive, are beyond the pockets of many
people. Her particular ambition is to reach out to youngsters with learning
difficulties, mental health problems or who simply come from low income
backgrounds but would love to learn to ride. “I do hope that Lucy is able to
secure some funding from charitable sources to make this possible, and I greatly
look forward to following the progress and development of this excellent riding
school.” Quote from John Bercow MP
