Ascension Sounds provides sound healing with gongs and other instruments. These sound baths can take place privately within your own space or you can follow us to keep up with our public events which take place regularly. The gong is a beautiful and powerful healing tool. Its frequencies have the power to guide us into an altered state of consciousness where we can experience deep relaxation. These frequencies enable our brain to create alpha, delta and theta brain waves, the same brain waves we experience when relaxed, in meditation or in a deep sleep. This can result in more mental clarity, physical energy and can even transport us to a dreamlike state, somewhere between sleep and our normal waking state where healing can take place on a cellular level.

I created Maleficent Things in 2016 out of my love of movies and fondness for fairytales. I began by making a collection of character themed charm bracelets representing princesses, heroines, villains and the misunderstood, from the likes of Cinderella to Hermione, the Evil Queen to Maleficent herself. Since then I have designed hundreds of items inspired by films, fairytales and literature. From quote pendants and pins to pin cushions and watercolour prints, Maleficent Things presents an enchanting collection of original film, fairytale and book inspired jewellery, stationery and gifts. I am delighted to also offer private workshops, jewellery making classes and parties for adults and children. All can be tailored to create the perfect bespoke package, so do get in touch if you would like to discuss ideas. When the pandemic made workshops and parties difficult, I created make-at-home craft kits to help people enjoy creative happy time at home, and so Charming Crafty Things was born. I now have a wide range of kits available here on this website, and you can find a handpicked selection on my Charming Crafty Things Etsy and Small and Beautiful shops too. I studied Art many moons ago and am delighted to once again have the opportunity to paint, design and create, alongside looking after my three delightful boys (superhero powers: sarcasm, hugs and sideblinding) and a huge fluffy dog (superhero power: mood enhancement). I thoroughly enjoy designing my Maleficent Things and creating crafty kits brimming with beautiful materials so that you can make your own lovely things too. Its initial principle project, “Southwark.TV” [www.southwark.tv] gave rise to CTVT’s definition of local media, dubbed The Southwark Template: WEB-EVENT-TV came directly from managing the borough-wide “Southwark.TV”. Website or WEB is the horizontal delivery mechanism; TV is something people may aspire to produce, which is fine, but can only be undertaken with a genuine team of committed participants and at least one person with actual broadcast experience and expertise; EVENT is the crucial element because it brings people together and sparks real relationships across community and often across age and ethnicity and culture too.

We engage the public through classes, performances and co-created participatory activities prioritising engagement with local communities. From 2020, increased budgets in access support for artists and audiences aim to break the status quo of privilege surpassing inclusion. Current local partnerships include working with neighbouring Charlotte Sharman primary school, and charities Su Mano Amiga and Good Chance Theatre. Our award-winning public arts building is in the diverse and densely populated area of Elephant and Castle. My name is Nat, but I am known in the dance world as Fyra Velvette. I became a personal trainer after I decided that I wanted to help all women to level up, earn the confidence and love they deserve in their lives through the fusion of modern dancing and old-time burlesque. I wanted to be able to help my clients to feel amazing, have fun and enjoy their workouts. I am helping them increase their physical flexibility and strength, their personal confidence and be able to find peace with their physical and mental health. In September 2020 I began my online dance company, BAW Burlesque (aka BadAss Women Burlesque) dedicated to all women who want to explore their sensuality while dancing in a safe space. I am a burlesque dancer who has been training in the UK for the past 4 years, participated in multiple burlesque and drag shows in London. Because of the pandemic, I am no longer able to conduct my classes in person, but I am looking forward to having you in my online zoom burlesque classes.
