In 2021, we created this microsite to respond to the global outcry that Black Lives Matter. Here at LJMU we are unequivocal about the need to examine ourselves and our community to become a welcoming place for students of colour. A major part of this process has been our reciprocal mentoring scheme which has matched Leader’s from the university with students who can give us first-hand accounts about their life and studying in Liverpool. Here, on this site you will find updates on the work we are carrying out, and information to help you if you are either a new or current student here at the University. Our ambition is strong and, along with others from both student and staff, we are determined to change and be a place that we can all be proud of. I am very grateful to all those involved in pulling these resources together, especially Kehinde Ross, Andrea Newman and Moni Akinsanya, as well as the support from JMSU. Despite the sometimes challenging nature of our Western Sydney golf course, it’s still our passion is to provide golfers of all skill levels with a memorable and enjoyable experience at the course known as ‘the golfer’s golf course’. A picturesque 18 hole par 72 Championship golf course, we’re located in Hollywood Drive, Lansvale New South Wales. The golf course is unique in that it has been designed and built on the peninsula formed by the Georges River and Prospect Creek, set on the banks of the Chipping Norton Lake. Quiet and secluded, you’ll enjoy the tranquil setting, so much so that you’ll find it hard to believe that you’re actually in the middle of Western Sydney! The golf course makes for an excellent test of skills both for the professional and amateur golfer. With a length of over 6300 meters, water comes into play on 14 holes, so shot selection is important and you’ll be rewarded for strategic shot placement along with many risk and reward opportunities. We provide and host an array of golf lessons for juniors on our golf course, which include beginners golf lessons to advanced. With multiple levels to participate in, our golf lessons are some of the most unique, challenging and advanced in Sydney. The exquisite golf course settings at Liverpool Golf Club has allowed us to host many prestigious events, including the Australian PGA, the NSW Open in 2006 and 2007 and has been a qualifying venue for the Australian Open for the past 10 years. My name is Mrs. Atherton and I am proud to be the Headteacher at Ladypool Primary School. Ladypool is a small, friendly and inviting school in the heart of Sparkbrook where we serve a community from a wide range of backgrounds. We pride ourselves on providing an environment where the children know how important their learning is and are committed to achieving their best. As a staff and governing body, we strongly believe that our children are entitled to the best education that we can provide. We are a UNICEF Rights Respecting School and all of our children know that they have the right to learn and play in the safe environment that we provide for them. At Ladypool we have enthusiastic and well-behaved, smart pupils who strive to do well in everything they do; the children are at the heart of every decision we make. We do our utmost to ensure that they are happy and confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future. Our school site consists of a Victorian building dating from 1883 which houses pupils from Year 2 to Year 6 and an extension and independent Nursery built in the 1970s which houses Early Years and Year 1. We have a sizeable outdoor space where the children play every day.
