Plants and Environment is a multi-disciplinary, peer-reviewed, international journal of Plant and Environmental Research Institute (PERI), India. All papers are subjected to peer review by the subject-specific reviewers with an expert editor using the blind peer review system. The journal publishes quarterly (March, June, September and December) and the accepted manuscripts are published online at the end of the month as per the open access publication policy. The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, scientific notes, opinions and short communication. The purpose of the journal is to publish original research work that contributes significant knowledge in the plant science, environmental science, agricultural science and sustainability. Author can submit their articles online after creating his/her User Account. All manuscripts (those which are not previously published and are not under consideration for publication by any journal) are subjected to rapid peer review process and those of high quality will be given priority for publication. We are a unique collaborative project providing free legal information, advice, representation and advocacy support to self-identifying women in Scotland affected by violence and abuse (read our inclusion statement here). Our services include legal and advocacy helplines, legal advice surgeries, advocacy support and legal representation. You can find a list of our services here. Our mission Our Centre strives to fill the gaps that exist between women’s experiences of gender-based violence and their ability to access justice by working with specialist solicitors and experienced advocacy workers. Informed by our direct work with victims/survivors of violence and abuse, we seek to influence national policy, research and training to improve processes and systems, and ultimately to improve justice outcomes for women who have experienced gender-based violence. The Scottish Women’s Rights Centre is a collaboration between Rape Crisis Scotland, JustRight Scotland and the University of Strathclyde Law Clinic. In August 1956, my mother and father arrived at Hall Grove with a young family and set about founding a school. It was a brave enterprise, but starting with just six pupils they laid the foundations for what is today one of the leading preparatory schools in the country with 420 boys and girls and a talented teaching and support staff of over 60 men and women. Hall Grove has a very special character. It is a country school that enriches young lives with a wide range of experiences, both in its extensive grounds and on the South Devon coast at our own field study centre. Success can be measured in our academic results, sporting achievements and by our dramatic and musical performances. More importantly, our pupils enjoy their school days and, over time, they develop a deep and lasting attachment to the place that will have helped shape their future lives. My own teaching career started here in 1978. 43 years later I handed over day-to-day responsibility to Neil Tomlin, our exceptional Headmaster. As Principal of the school I remain in very close contact, overseeing key aspects of policy and helping to plan future developments.

National Energy Action, the fuel poverty charity, campaigns so everyone can afford to live in a warm and safe home. This is something denied to millions because of poor housing, low incomes, and high bills. Working across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, everything we do aims to improve the lives of people in fuel poverty. We directly support people with energy and income maximisation advice and we advocate on issues including improving the energy efficiency of our homes. We do not work alone. Partnerships and collaboration have been at the heart of NEA for over 40 years, helping us drive better health and wellbeing outcomes for people struggling to heat their homes. National Energy Action was founded in 1981 when students at Durham University established a group of volunteers to install loft insulation in the homes of elderly local people. Their experiences led them to realise there was a huge problem with people living in cold and unhealthy homes, suffering from fuel poverty. Subsequently, working with Newcastle City Council, this project was replicated on a wider scale by putting together different funding streams to develop community insulation projects. On 18 May 1981, Neighbourhood Energy Action was formally launched as a development programme of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations. Since then Neighbourhood Energy Action has evolved into National Energy Action (NEA), employing over 70 staff across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our actions have brought real social change, enabling millions of people to access grants and assistance to help them live in a warm home. Our campaigning work has also ensured that fuel poverty is now firmly on the public policy agenda. We also work closely with our sister charity Energy Action Scotland. Edinburgh Science Foundation is an educational charity, founded in 1989, which operates Edinburgh Science's Education and Festival programmes. We are best known for organising Edinburgh’s annual Science Festival – the world’s first public celebration of science and technology as a festival and still one of Europe’s largest – as well as our science education outreach programmes, Generation Science and Careers Hive and our community engagement work. Our mission is to inspire, encourage and challenge people of all ages and backgrounds to explore and understand the world around them. As leaders in our field of Science Communication, we work year-round to create and deliver dynamic hands-on workshops and exhibitions and inspirational shows, discussions, debates and performances that continually push the boundaries of public engagement with science. Communication and engagement is at the core of all our work and we strive to ensure that this is embedded in all aspects of our organisation. Festival Our 2022 Festival spanned 9–24 April and explored the theme of Revolutions – lifeforms, lifecycles, revolutionary ideas and solutions to global challenges. This year's Festival saw the return to our family hub at City Art Centre and two major new interactive exhibitions, DataSphere and Consumed, alongside a vibrant and varied programme of other events for audiences of all ages in collaboration with our network of amazing partners. Learning Our touring education programme Generation Science has been providing unique science experiences to schools across Scotland for 30 years. In light of COVID-19 restrictions, this year's programme was made up of pre-recorded workshops, loan kits and make-along boxes which were designed to get pupils out of their seats and involved. Secondary schools careers event Careers Hive was hosted this year on Gather, an interactive online digital platform. Over 2,400 students from over 30 Scottish schools took part in the event, which highlighted the opportunities available to those who study STEM subjects. Worldwide Edinburgh Science also operates a large-scale international programme of work under our Worldwide arm. It regularly presents events overseas and is currently the Major Programming Partner of the annual Abu Dhabi Science Festival, helping to curate, produce and deliver the event. For international partners, the team at Edinburgh Science provide engaging content, curatorial advice on programming and business planning support, along with expert staff and training for local science communicators.
