The Inclusive Bangladesh Development (IBD) is the one of the intelligence supporting Build Bangladesh. It has commenced its journey by investing in human capital. IBD is based on the strong foundation of social empowerment, economic entrepreneurship and environmental sustainability works demonstrated by the Impress Group through their media stream Channel I over last 16 years. Their impact based works on agriculture, awareness of health and hygiene among young girls, campaign supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) and social entrepreneurs, nurturing and rewarding creative and talented young children, men and women as gateway to the entertainment industry, supporting disadvantaged children and young people to become future leaders, basic skills development for girls from remote villages and developing educational games to promote ‘spirit of Bangladesh’. In addition, it has also been influencing government policy through its ground breaking media journalism and issues based discussion forums. IBD has a not for profit role nurturing and promoting skills development (e.g. vocational education and training), social entrepreneurship and awareness programs all over Bangladesh. It will operate countrywide and will be politically and denominationally neutral. It will create opportunities for corporate sectors, global Bangladeshis and individual investors to invest in human capital in Bangladesh through various best practice models such as Social Impact Bonds (SIB), Social Impact Investments (SII) including Corporate Social Impact Investment (CSII).

The Cambridge Information and Intellectual Property Meeting (CIIPM) was founded by Jane List of Extract Information and Stuart Newbold of Patent Search & Information Management in 2015. CIIPM hosts an ‘annual’ meeting and provides training in IP matters and patent information search and analysis. The CIIPM meeting provides an opportunity for knowledge sharing for those engaged with the commercialisation of technologies using intellectual property, and those needing information to make legal and commercial decisions. The annual meeting offers an afternoon of talks, workshops, and discussions, a small exhibition, networking opportunities, and has hosted a post graduate student poster competition. CIIPM also provides unique training courses blending theory and practice in IP Matters, IP Commercialisation, and Patent Searching for Legal and Commercial Insights. Training courses take place throughout the year virtually and at venues in Cambridge, UK, or by arrangement at your office or other location. Following the March 2022 meeting CIIPM have established a programme committee to help us maintain the strong programme and networking. We are very pleased that Claudia Duffy, Innovare IP, Isla Furlong, Director of Intellectual Property, PetMedix Ltd. Anne Jones, Senior Customer Success, ACS / CAS , Rob Mann, IP Manager, PragmatIC, Kerry Rees, Partner, HGF and Sam Winders, PatSnap have agreed to join the programme committee. The theme and programme for the 2023 meeting will be announced from September 2022.

We’re new but we’re not! As part of Acuity Training we’ve been providing professional development training for 14 years. In early 2019 we decided that we needed our own ‘home’ and so we created a separate brand and website for our courses to allow us to focus more in this area. We’re still a small team focused on generating lasting change in people.

The Marjorie Lipman Foundation offers young people the opportunity to apply for a grant towards the provision of education, training and targeted tuition. The trustees would like to hear from young people between 16 and 25 who might need financial help. Provided an applicant meets the relevant criteria, the Trustees may award a grant, or a series of grants, towards the provision of education, training and targeted tuition. In addition grants can be made for equipment and/or instruments to promote music, art, theatre, dance and sport. Likewise assistance might be given towards club fees and uniforms, IT and books, as well as help towards college or university fees.
