2011-2015: Working as a Latin and Classics teacher in state schools and community groups across London, I develop tailored material that is both accessible and useful to all students. ✍🏻 2016: Classics For All gives a grant to make twelve lessons of my teaching materials accessible, and to train teachers from three trial primary schools. Feedback from this pilot is very positive.

Catriona Maclay founded The Hackney Pirates in 2011. Catriona was a teacher in North London. She realised that some of her pupils needed more support than she and her colleagues could offer during the school day. Living locally, she knew that Hackney is filled with wonderful people who would be able to help. So in 2010 – along with fellow conspirators, and supported by local charity Bootstrap Company – she ran a pilot project.
Human Factors training during live clinical simulations. The Pilot Sim Programme is an opportunistic collaboration between healthcare and aviation formed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Regular discussions on simulation training in the NHS highlighted an exciting opportunity for shared learning.
