Jian Taiji co-instructors Ian and Janet have been exclusively studying the Chen family style of Taijiquan since 1996 and have both been awarded instructors certificates from the Wenxian Research Institute of Taijiquan by Grandmaster Chen Zhenglei. They are members of AMAA and have competed successfully at national and international level. Jian Taiji - Traditional Chen Tai Chi classes in Manchester, Tameside and Stockport Early on in their taiji development they had the good fortune to be able to train with a number of senior Chen family Grandmasters in small group sessions. Seeing this level of skill and martial ability inspired them to apply themselves even harder to their own training and this lead to their first trip to China to train at the source in 1997. They became fascinated with the philosophy, history and depth of wisdom behind this pure internal art that had been passed down through the generations of one family. Through regular practice they found enjoyment in the challenge of learning Taijiquan and a sense of achievement as they progressed. They attended Grandmaster Chen Zhenglei's 1st International Advanced Chen Taijiquan Training Camp in Hebei Province in 1999 and continue to train with GM Cheng Zhenglei on his regular visits to the UK. Frustrated by existing awareness training that seeks to convince corporations that queer people belong in a faulty system, rather than demanding meaningful change, our bespoke workshops and expert consultancy brings together gender studies, philosophy, racial justice and the law to educate, inspire and give our clients the tools to create positive change. Our clients are disrupters, influencers and architects of change, passionate about trans and non-binary liberation and are unafraid to use their voice to make a difference. Breaking Binaries is lead by Finn Grice (He/They), a proudly queer, trans masculine LGBTQA+ sector expert, advocate and policy researcher, who has been disrupting the status quo from an early age, leading his peers to use their voices to create change.

Lancashire Digital was founded in 2004 by Greg and Len Adam as a dedicated educational software team. All of the inital staff were hand-picked for their experience working in the education sector. Throughout the next 10 years, Lancashire Digital went from strength to strength, working with education industry leaders including Pearson Education, Promethean and Cambridge University Press. With a strong internal philosophy and clear strategy and leadership from Managing Director, Greg Adam, the team has grown and continues to grow. In 2006 the company decided to widen their focus, although keeping a strong educational slant, working with training providers to create e-learning training materials for corporates, government agencies and more. Buckshaw Village green man The conversion from Flash to HTML5 Over the early years of the company, the predominant technology used in the company was Adobe Flash and most of the internal developers would recognise Flash as their core skill. In 2010 however, Greg realised that the days of Flash as the main delivery mechanism for e-learning were numberered and the internal team started their transition to development using HTML5. This foresight proved to be revolutionary for the company, as Lancashire Digital developers were upskilled to HTML5 well ahead of the curve. This put them in a strong position to win work for both new development using HTML5, but given the cross-skills of the team, a large quantity of Flash to HTML5 conversion projects were undertaken. Today sees the team as a well-seasoned group of HTML5 developers with a strong background in Flash development, along with back-end specialist developers for our platforms projects. Imam Abdul Hafeez Siddique is the Founder and CEO of The Flowhesion Foundation. He is an experienced, qualified Muslim Chaplain who studied at a traditional Islamic seminary in Bolton. Abdul graduated from the seminary at the age of 17 making him, at the point of qualification, one of the youngest Imam’s in Britain. Post qualification, he serves as a Muslim Chaplain at HMP Wymott where he works as part of a multi-disciplinary, multi-faith team. Abdul has a strong academic background in community cohesion and social capital research. After completing his undergraduate degree in this field, he was awarded a postgraduate scholarship by the Mariott Trust. Subsequently this led him to become the first person in the Northwest to look in to how members of the South-Asian Muslim community in Bolton interpreted the terminology and lexicology surrounding community cohesion. He asked these difficult questions to marginalised members of the bamer community. The research allowed Abdul to undertake an in-depth theoretical study of the evolution of the concept: community cohesion and his in-depth qualitative interviews formed the basis of his study that was supervised by Professor Carole Truman and Dr Margaret Boneham at the University of Bolton. This seminal study came to fruition in the form of a thesis submitted for the degree of Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) titled ‘A critical analysis of Cantle’s (2001) community cohesion model and its applicability to marginalised elements of Bolton’s south-asian Muslim Community’ that was awarded to him in 2011. In addition, Abdul has over 10 years experience working with socially excluded immigrant BAME communities and their representatives in Bolton to promote community cohesion and build social capital.
