We began our journey from a point of adversity. In 2013, after witnessing a family member suffer significant trauma, we decided to look at ways in which we could use our experience, to help young people in difficult and challenging situations. We began by volunteering, I (Simon) volunteered for the youth service where I worked with young people on referrals from Childrens Services for a year. Louise began by training to be a breastfeeding peer support worker and through this met inspirational healthcare professionals, who signposted her to further training. Now a qualified R.N. and holding a BSc Honours degree she has fulfilled her ambition. As modern nursing adopts a more holistic approach, we began to draw on this knowledge to provide a more valuable service to the young people we work with. We began to study experts in neuroscience who had a particular interest in music like Dr Wendy Mcghee, and Dr Ani Patel, as well as studying the strengths and weaknesses of using technology to support our sessions. We found that Music in general is a powerful and versatile way of supporting young people with not only their development of essential skills, like listening and team work, but over the years, we have recognised a particular advantage when supporting young people who may have become disengaged with education, or have Specific Learning Difficulties. We have a strong philosophy that health and education go hand in hand and we are proud to harness music and technology to share that message, something which is unique to us, that could not have happened without facing our challenges and informing our own personal development.

Dance London

We do not compete or examine our dancers. It’s wonderful and refreshing to experience a non-competitive environment. When Ruth Anne Rogerson and her daughter Tammy founded Dance London in 1993, they wanted to create a studio that focuses on technical training and the love of dance. A place for everyone to be themselves and just enjoy dance. 25 years later, we are still following the same philosophy. When you take the competitiveness, awards, examinations, and medals out of dance, everyone can just be. Our dancers, parents and faculty don’t compete with one another— instead, they encourage and support each other. Everyone is equal and a part of our family. At Dance London, you become a part of a family that supports and encourages one another. Your child won’t feel left out or overshadowed by others, because no matter their age or skill level everyone is treated equally. Your child will be placed in the best class based on their skill level and age. All 6 – 17-year-old classes are based on skill level and age. This builds our dancers’ confidence by not feeling lost or behind in class. It also gives our high-level dancers the opportunity to keep progressing and not be held back in a class that is not challenging. By grouping dancers together that are in the same age range, they are able to connect and bond socially with their peers. We cap our class size. Instead of packing as many dancers as we can into our classes, we have a maximum number of dancers allowed per class. This allows our faculty to give enough one-on-one attention to each student.

My name is Jo Souter and I am an experienced specialist dyslexia teacher and assessor. I am passionate about helping children to unlock their potential! Specialist teacher and assessor Oxfordshire As a teacher and as a mum of 2, I understand that every child is different and that a 'one size fits all' approach doesn't work. As a result my teaching is personalised to each student and draws on their strengths. My philosophy is that if your child doesn't understand something, then it is up to me to teach it differently. Up until having my children, I was a full time class teacher in a primary school. Therefore I understand the demands of teaching a class of 30 children each with differing strengths and difficulties! My skill is in creating a positive learning environment in which your child can thrive. After missing school due to Covid my daughter had sessions with Jo to increase her confidence. It was really inspiring to see her learning and enjoying a more creative & fun way of learning. - Parent of a Year 1 student Over the past 9 years I have worked as a specialist dyslexia teacher and assessor both in schools and privately. In addition to assessing, teaching and supporting individual children, I provide training and guidance for parents, teachers and support staff. Qualifications The field of dyslexia is ever evolving and I am committed to keeping up to date with the latest developments. As an Associate Member of the BDA (AMBDA), my continuing professional development is verified by the BDA every 3 years. I appear on both the BDA and PATOSS registers.

We want you to be able to write what you want in business emails and reports. We want to take you to the next level in your Business English. How will we do this? It’s simple. Using our virtual classroom and working together with you, we will customize the one to one course of your choosing. We have English Presentations, Business English, English Job Interview, English Resume Writing, Business Correspondence, and English Writing courses. All you need to do is go to the registration page and sign up. The courses will be online using our Virtual Classroom, in which we will be able to use a whiteboard, share documents and files, watch videos, and review presentations in real time. The classroom has real time two way video and audio where we will be able to see and hear each other. The screen size of the video feed that we see can be adjusted at any time. The online classroom allows me to upload Microsoft Office files and You Tube videos that we can use, study, and watch during the class. These are things that cannot be done in online language teachings through Skype. In the virtual classroom we can do many of the things that can be done in a real classroom without leaving our homes or offices. To start with we will have a free first session where we will have a discussion between yourself and myself to determine what it is you want to learn. Also, you will get an explanation of how I propose to teach you. During this session we will also work on some of the English problem areas that you have identified and we will have a chance to discover other English weaknesses that you may have. As I pointed out at the start of the paragraph this session will not cost you anything, and it will last anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your learning and course requirements. The main Business English courses that I offer are: English for Job Interviews, English for Presentations, English for Business Correspondence (writing emails), Resume Writing, Business English, English Writing, and a General English Course. These courses can be modified to meet your needs. They can also be combined into one course in different proportions. They can be flexible for the number of hours, the content, the scheduling, etc. The courses can also be flexible in regard to postponing a scheduled course. Taking an online Business English course with John’s Online English can be very flexible in various parameters. The main teacher will be myself, John. So, I have the business background and the business English training to be offering to you Business English courses online. As you can see John’s Online English is for serious leaners of English. My philosophy is that I want to take you to the next level in your English and ensure that you are more comfortable in business situations. If you are dedicated to improving your English, then together we can take your English to the next level. I hope to see you soon in my virtual classroom taking one of my Business English courses.

The Natural Building Centre Ltd

Conwy,

We have been using lime in North Wales for twenty years now, so we know our stuff! We have a lifelong interest in vernacular architecture, a concern for our environment and years of experience working on conservation and building restoration projects. In 2011 we moved to Plas Tirion and set up our training and resource centre, for the repair of historic buildings. We believe that everyone can learn the skills required to carry out authentic and lasting repairs to their historic structures, which respect the tradition, aesthetics and fabric of the original architecture. These include the practical techniques needed, as well as a foundation knowledge of the right materials and how to source them. Most of all, our ethos is all about a sustianable future for traditional building, whether thats keeping valuable skills alive or using local materials that are readily available, and avoiding wherever possible expensive packaged product, which is heavy on plastic and road miles. Over the last decade we have trained thousands of people in traditional craft skills, of all ages and backgrounds. Our main focus is on traditional building methods but alongside this we also hold workshops in other heritage skills, such as basketmaking, fresco painting, relief printmaking, pottery and stonecarving. We live and work by our philosophy at Plas Tirion - we are ten years into a gradual and sensitive restoration of the whole site, which includes a C16th manor house, a C15th Snowdonian hall house, C19th agricultural buildings, a Tudor garden, orchards, meadows and woodland. NBC was founded by Ned and Sophie Scharer. Ned is a qualified Conservator, specialising in the repair of decorative plaster, stone, statuary and monuments, and is an expert in traditional mortars. Sophie is a potter and printmaker, and an experienced arts educator.

SeerPharma UK

Littlehampton, West Sussex

How we help the UK pharmaceutical sector The UK pharmceutical sector is highly regulated, highly specialised and highly competitive. But we believe these three factors are not mutually exclusive. What it takes to be rigidly compliant in an operation is the same as what it takes to be relentlessly focused on high quality output. Attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of the detail are both required corporate traits. SeerPharma UK has an extensive knowledge of the detail of the regulatory environment and can communicate this effectively to those staff in key positions within your business. We also have a deep knowledge of the quality and productivity tools and techniques your business needs to succeed. So whether that’s improving your compliance history with the regulator, differentiating yourself against national and international competition or driving greater profitability from your operation, we can help you reach your goals. Part of something much bigger SeerPharma UK is the European centre of SeerPharma which has extensive coverage across Asia-Pacific. There is much regulatory convergence across UK & European and Asia-Pacific pharmaceutical compliance and we frequently share knowledge and materials with our colleagues in the Australian Head Office. How we go about our business Our philosophy can be summarised as follows: Understanding the Regulations is good, but understanding the Regulator is, we believe, the gold standard. As former MHRA inspectors we have both the insight and practical understanding of the regulatory regime as well as practical knowledge of how those regulations are interpreted. Our aim is to share that inside knowledge to help you compete successfully in the regulated environments of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices and related industries. Our technical partners in the UK We work with a range of organisations in the UK to provide our clients with the breadth and depth of knowledge required in this highly regulated and competitive market.
