Our superb performance in exam league tables is balanced with a vast range of exciting opportunities that aim to develop the whole child. This is what makes South Wolds unique. Behaviour is outstanding at the Academy. Our behaviour management policy is very clear on our expectations of all of our students and sets out what will happen when these are not met. All pupils are entitled to know that their work and learning will not be disrupted. We also recognise and celebrate hard work and good attitudes through a comprehensive reward system, achievement assemblies and awards evenings. We work closely with all of our partner Primary Partner schools to enable us to build on the achievements of everybody at Key Stage 2. A successful partnership with parents and carers is crucial to our work and a fundamental part of the success of South Wolds. The South Wolds Academy is a great place to grow up and learn. Sam is a co-owner and director of Best for Training. Sam and Anne Horn have worked closely together in education and training for many years and decided to use their expertise, skills and knowledge to start Best for Training in 2017. Sam has many years experience working in the further education sector; leading on apprenticeship provision, vocational and professional qualifications for adults and study programmes for young people. As a former member of the senior leadership team of a college, she was instrumental in improving teaching, learning and assessment across the college. Sam led her team in gaining nationally recognised awards and ‘outstanding’ Ofsted grades and Awarding Organisation reports which recognised her approach to achieving the highest quality teaching and assessment.Anne is co owner and director of Best for Training. Anne and Sam Sutton worked closely together in education and training for many years and decided to use their expertise, skills and knowledge to set up Best for Training in 2017. Best for Training has been a finalist for New Company in the Essex Business Awards.
