We are Robyn and Sean Duffy, the creators and owners of First Stop Safety Training Robyn has spent 8 years delivering first aid courses for other various companies throughout Scotland before First Stop Safety Training launched in early 2019. Sean has worked as a Personal Trainer and has a degree in Sports Science which ignited his passion for first aid. Our company is the culmination of over 12 years working in a mixture of First Aid, Health and Safety and Health and Fitness sectors.

A standard set of hygiene measures remain in place on all our first aid courses and we can accommodate workplace specific hygiene requirements on private courses where we send a trainer to your premises. Despite learning a great deal whilst working with these training organisations he felt that their training methods were sometimes lacking. As a result, he established 2nd Chance First Aid in 2005 to provide high quality first aid training to clients with a national coverage.

At a time when we on average spend 90% of our time indoors, our work at Earthcraftuk is driven by the evidenced impact of being in nature. Green spaces promote physical activity, social interaction, exposure to sunlight and reduced pollution, which all boost health in various ways, including reduced levels of stress and anxiety, aided sleep and a feeling of connectedness with the world, and one another. We have trained over 400 participants on Forest School qualification programmes; worked with a number of community groups; supported school and youth experiential and accredited programmes and also developed a Campfire Management Award for Kent County Council and now also working with Veterans on our Health & Wellbeing programme called Veteran Trees We are very grateful to use stunning private woodland owned by the Dawes family of Mount Ephraim Gardens – a philanthropic family who support our mission.

With over 18 years experience in teaching First Aid, we provide excellent First Aid Training. We offer a variety of training courses, 3 Day First Aid at Work, 2 Day Refresher Course, 6 Hour Emergency First Aid at Work (Replaced Appointed persons Certified), Refresher 3 hour as recomended by the HSE. If you would prefer to have a First Aid at Work training course on your premises, (for up to 12 persons) and you can provide a training area to HSE standards, a special concessionary rate applies. Derek Ross I have been Training and Assessing First Aid for 17 years now working with the Army Cadet Force in which I still belong to the Castle Douglas Detachment as a Sergeant Major and currently in charge of all matters first aid related in the south west of Scotland area. I also assist the local Duke of Edinburgh's Award Groups as I also have for the last 15 years. I managed to gain my Gold Award. I have been qualified as a Trainer Assessor and have gained valuable hands on experience working within a medical centre for the past few years with some highly skilled personnel. I have worked within the Healthcare industry for the past 18 years also gaining much needed experience on day to day illness and how it affects a person also the necessary treatment that they would require at the time of illness or injury.
