royal institute of art stockholm

Sedan ett antal år tillbaka erbjuder Kungl. Konsthögskolan möjlighet att bedriva såväl individuella forskningsprojekt som samarbetsprojekt. We offer an unparalleled combination of artistic breadth and excellence, with programs in the Fine Arts at both the basic and advanced levels . Our freestanding courses at the advanced level are aimed at both professional artists and architects, as well as those who work within culture and the humanities. In addition, we are also a research institution. As a cultural institution, we also offer a public program with exhibitions, seminars and workshops that are open to everyone. Development with a Historical Connection The Royal Institute of Art is a place that enables art and learning. We experiment and take artistic risks in pursuit of growth. Professional artists teach fine art here—from print-making, painting and sculpture to video, sound, photography, interactive techniques, performance and critical studies. Our campus is located on Skeppsholmen in central Stockholm. The combination buildings with a clear historical connection and modern workshops creates a dynamic environment for students, researchers and staff. Here, artistic heritage is preserved while new techniques and methods in the field are constantly being developed. The art made here relates to the past as well as to the search for new ways of redefinition. The Royal Institute of Art is characterized in a similar way, both by its tradition and ongoing renewal. The Art of Continuous Development The students’ artistic work is at the center of all learning. Through a collaborative process of thoughtful reflection, various forms of artistic expressions are heightened and enhanced by coming into contact with each other. A vast range of different aesthetics, attitudes and approaches are accommodated amongst our 230 students. Our education and research utilize and form a joint field of knowledge in constant evolution. The desire for experimentation and critical discussion pushes independent artistic development forward. By creating new forms of developing and testing different modes of artistic expression against one another, our employees, researchers and students create the conditions for lifelong learning.

My name is Sue Williamson, and I have loved dogs (and many other animals for that matter) as far back as I can remember. One of my first memories is laying under my Grandparents Belfast sink with my Auntie’s German Shepherd – Tara. When I was 4 years old, a relative gave me a little black poodle, called Tina. Tina was one of the reasons I wanted to work with dogs when I grew up. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way that got pushed to one side and I finished up working in administration. Working up from secretarial positions to administration management, I left employment in January 2016 to follow my childhood dream of working with animals, and in particular – dogs. After I lost Tina, I had to wait over 20 years to get another dog, although I interacted with dogs on a regular basis. My next dog was Kelly, a black collie cross. She was the most placid and loving dog. Since Kelly I have been guardian to six dogs two of whom I have had to say goodbye Kira my gorgeous black Labrador who we lost in 2018 due to a lung tumour, and Raffi, Lemon and White working cocker spaniel who was killed in a road accident in 2016. I currently have four dogs, Taz, a male black show cocker spaniel, – who was the reason I got a deeper interest in training and Tellington TTouch Training, Ritzi, a miniature parti Poodle (black and white), Chic, a brown miniature poodle, (pronounced Sheek), and new boy on the block Lemon Roan Working Cocker Spaniel Talis. I have done training with all my dogs, including basic obedience, gundog training, platform training and agility. I have competed at agility with both Taz (grade 5), and Kira (grade 3) and Raffi (Grade 4). Although I no longer participate in Agility, I have taken up Canine Hoopers with Talis and started to compete.

Way back in 2002 I took my first breath underwater using scuba equipment. I absolutely loved it! A couple of years later I was in the car with my mum when we went past a sign that said 'Learn to scuba dive today!' We had booked the experience before we got home! A couple of months later I was given a voucher for the PADI Open Water Diver course. We travelled up to Stoney Cove in November 2004 for what I mainly remember as a very cold experience. I was soon a qualified Junior PADI Open Water Diver! I eventually signed up for my DiveMaster course in 2011 - the first professional level when you begin taking responsibility for other divers' training! I loved helping with courses and seeing the sense of achievement on peoples' faces - I could really relate to it - however, I was soon convinced to sign up for my instructor course. I've been a PADI Course Director since 2018 and have had the pleasure of teaching candidates from all walks of life and being just a small part of their journey to what might become a full-time career. I love teaching the professional courses but feel just as comfortable teaching a DSD or Seal Team Course (I am still a child at heart!) If you join an IDC with me, you'll benefit from tailored scheduling to suit your availability and a CD who uses the latest and most up to date tools from PADI to teach you. I am passionate about being inclusive and believe that 'one size definitely does not fit all'. I've had the privilege of instructing in quite a few places around the world, teaching in Egypt, Spain, Kenya, and various countries in the Caribbean. Although by far not an expert in all these different regions, I've learnt a lot about the specific challenges that various areas face.

We started in 2009, and we’ve been on an epic journey ever since. From our beginnings where we were solely focused on children’s football coaching to delivering our first ‘100% Active’ session in 2017, we’ve tried to stay true to our core beliefs. These are that all children should have the opportunity to develop through a variety of exciting activities that engage both body and brain, inspiring them to have a happy and healthy lifestyle. From the outset our focus has always been on children and their enjoyment of being active, learning new skills, improving their confidence and developing friendships. When we started in 2009 were running sessions for approximatley 40 children a month; this has now increased to almost 2000 children a month. We genuinely love being part of the children’s development and over the years we have had some amazing stories to tell. We find it fascinating to observe how individual children are in their handling of situations and how they get their characters across when integrating with new groups of children, even at the age of 18 months old. It is this kind of reward that keeps us focused on our goals, but we have a big challenge! Children of today are growing up in a world where they can lose hours during a day, day after day, week after week through being on electronic devices, during which time they have no interaction with other people. We have to acknowledge that we are living in a technology encompassing world now, but our vision is to create a balance between technology and being active. We want to offer variety and engagement through the sessions we offer to ensure children don’t lose the vital skills which will help them as they develop in life… things such as social skills, the ability to converse, the ability to handle situations, to adapt to changing environments, earn respect, be part of a team and how to win and lose.

Big White Shed

big white shed

Morecambe

Big White Shed opened its doors in 2015 to support the completion of projects by helping find those missing 'bits' needed for a successful outcome. Initially an idea brought about by the frustration of finding a publisher for her novel, founder Anne Holloway decided to do it herself! Tired of waiting for someone to publish her book and spurred on by positive comments from those who had read it, and the success of other authors who had taken control for themselves, she decided to do the same and set up a small press. Drawing on contacts made over the years, she managed the production of the novel from editing, designing, print sourcing and type setting through to marketing and managing sales. She had to buy in services, trade expertise, ask favours, and more importantly than that, was propelled forward by the belief of others in what she was doing. The success of the project made her determined to support others in 'doing it themselves'. As well as first hand experience of small-scale publishing, she has expertise in coaching and mentoring, writing, editing, performing, teaching and sales management. She has a strong track record in the retail and entertainments industries, has set up and run small organisations, was co-director of East Midlands poetry collective Mouthy Poets for 6 years, Creative Director of Nottingham Poetry Festival in 2021 and 2022 and writes and performs her own work. You can find out more about her on her website. Big White Shed is a place to seek advice and tools, trade expertise and ideas in order to complete a creative project - a virtual meeting place for people who want to get a job done and the people who can help achieve that. In the shed, we will think through what you have in mind, and help make it a reality. Big White Shed acts as an enabling partner.

A DETAILED GUIDE TO AFFILIATE MARKETING TRACKER: WHY I CHOOSE UPPROMOTE AFFILIATE MARKETING SOFTWARE Affiliate marketing is a powerful strategy for driving sales, expanding brand reach, and boosting revenue. However, managing affiliate campaigns effectively can be a daunting task without the right tools. As someone who's worked with affiliate programs for quite some time, I can confidently say that using an affiliate marketing tracker is one of the best ways to streamline the process and ensure that affiliates are properly compensated for their efforts. In this article, I will discuss the importance of affiliate marketing trackers, what they do, and why Affiliate software with fraud prevention [https://uppromote.com/] has been my go-to tool for managing and tracking affiliate marketing campaigns. WHAT IS AN AFFILIATE MARKETING TRACKER? An affiliate marketing tracker is a software tool designed to monitor and track the performance of affiliate links, campaigns, and affiliates themselves. The primary function of an affiliate marketing tracker is to provide detailed analytics about clicks, conversions, sales, and other relevant metrics associated with each affiliate’s performance. These metrics help affiliate managers understand which affiliates are driving results and which campaigns are performing best. By using an affiliate marketing tracker, businesses can: * Monitor clicks: Track how many people click on an affiliate’s unique tracking link. * Track conversions: See how many of those clicks turn into sales or leads. * Calculate commissions: Ensure that affiliates are rewarded based on actual performance. * Optimize campaigns: Adjust marketing strategies based on real-time data. Affiliate marketing trackers also allow businesses to track conversions across multiple platforms, ensuring they never miss out on any data related to affiliate sales, which ultimately helps in making informed decisions. WHY AFFILIATE MARKETING TRACKERS ARE ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS Affiliate marketing can be incredibly profitable, but it’s crucial to have accurate and real-time tracking to ensure that all affiliates are properly compensated, campaigns are optimized, and results are maximized. Here's why having an affiliate marketing tracker is essential: 1. REAL-TIME PERFORMANCE INSIGHTS One of the biggest advantages of using an affiliate marketing tracker like UpPromote is the ability to monitor affiliate performance in real-time. Instead of waiting for end-of-month reports or manually checking each affiliate’s stats, I can instantly see how well my affiliates are performing. With UpPromote, the dashboard gives me immediate access to key metrics like click-through rates, conversion rates, and the number of sales generated by each affiliate. This makes it easier for me to identify top performers and recognize areas where improvements are needed. For example, if I notice that an affiliate is driving a lot of traffic but not many conversions, I can quickly reach out to them for feedback or offer additional promotional materials to help boost their performance. 2. ACCURATE COMMISSION TRACKING AND PAYMENTS Managing affiliate payments is often one of the most time-consuming and complex aspects of affiliate marketing. Without a reliable tracker, commission calculations can become tedious and prone to error. With UpPromote, I no longer have to worry about manually calculating commissions. The software tracks every sale made by an affiliate and automatically calculates commissions based on pre-set rates. This means I can pay my affiliates on time, every time, with zero mistakes. The automated tracking and commission calculation make it much easier to scale the program, especially as I add more affiliates. Moreover, the software offers various payment methods like PayPal or bank transfer, allowing me to send payouts without dealing with any manual paperwork. 3. ENHANCED AFFILIATE RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT A good affiliate marketing tracker doesn’t just track sales; it also provides insights into affiliate behavior and performance. UpPromote helps me manage my relationships with affiliates more effectively by giving me access to important data like: * Affiliate activity levels: I can see which affiliates are actively promoting my products and which are not. * Affiliate performance history: I can track an affiliate’s sales performance over time, which helps me identify long-term top performers or those who may need additional support. * Customizable goals: I can set specific goals for individual affiliates or entire teams and track progress against those goals. With this data, I can maintain strong relationships with my affiliates. If an affiliate is struggling, I can offer them additional support or incentives. If someone is excelling, I can reward them with higher commissions or exclusive offers. 4. FRAUD PREVENTION AND ACCURATE REPORTING Affiliate fraud is a real concern, and one of the key reasons why affiliate marketing trackers are so important is that they help detect suspicious activity. UpPromote includes fraud detection tools that automatically flag potential issues, such as duplicate clicks or unusual patterns in affiliate activity. This helps me ensure that only legitimate sales are counted and that affiliates aren’t taking advantage of the system. Additionally, the platform provides detailed, customizable reports that give me a clear overview of my affiliate program's performance. Whether I’m reviewing a specific campaign, comparing affiliate performance, or analyzing overall revenue, UpPromote's reporting tools give me accurate insights that are essential for making data-driven decisions. 5. INCREASED TRANSPARENCY AND TRUST One of the most important aspects of a successful affiliate program is building trust between affiliates and the business. With UpPromote, the transparency of tracking and reporting builds confidence among my affiliates. They know exactly how their sales are being tracked and what commissions they are earning in real-time. This transparency ensures that affiliates are motivated to continue driving traffic and conversions. Also, the fact that I can show affiliates their performance stats and commission reports fosters a sense of fairness and accountability in the program. WHY I CHOOSE UPPROMOTE AFFILIATE MARKETING SOFTWARE While there are many affiliate marketing trackers available, UpPromote stands out because of its user-friendly interface, powerful features, and seamless integration with my existing e-commerce platform. Here’s why I consider UpPromote to be the best option for affiliate tracking: 1. COMPREHENSIVE TRACKING AND AUTOMATION One of the standout features of UpPromote is its ability to track affiliate links and automate processes. The software not only tracks clicks and conversions but also automatically handles commission calculations, payment processing, and reporting. This automation saves me countless hours of manual work and reduces the chances of errors, especially when dealing with large volumes of sales. 2. SEAMLESS INTEGRATION WITH SHOPIFY As someone who runs a Shopify store, seamless integration was essential for me. UpPromote integrates effortlessly with Shopify, syncing all my affiliate data without requiring any technical expertise. This integration ensures that all sales and affiliate activities are accurately tracked across my e-commerce store, giving me real-time access to data without any manual entry. 3. CUSTOMIZABLE REPORTING AND INSIGHTS With UpPromote, I can create custom reports tailored to my business needs. Whether I need to track affiliate performance by campaign, geographic location, or sales volume, the platform provides the flexibility to customize reporting as I see fit. This feature is crucial for understanding how different affiliates or campaigns are performing and for optimizing my affiliate program over time. 4. AFFILIATE SUPPORT AND COMMUNICATION Managing affiliate relationships is made easy with UpPromote's communication tools. I can easily send updates, performance reports, and promotional materials to my affiliates, keeping them engaged and informed. Additionally, if an affiliate needs assistance, I can quickly reach out to them through the platform, streamlining communication. 5. SCALABILITY As my affiliate program grows, UpPromote scales effortlessly with it. I don’t have to worry about outgrowing the platform because it’s designed to handle programs of all sizes. Whether I’m working with a handful of affiliates or hundreds, UpPromote manages everything with ease, making it perfect for both small and large-scale affiliate operations. CONCLUSION An affiliate marketing tracker is an essential tool for managing and optimizing affiliate programs. Whether you're a small business owner or running a large affiliate network, using an efficient tracker like UpPromote Affiliate Marketing Software can drastically improve the management of your affiliate campaigns. With real-time tracking, automated commission calculations, fraud prevention tools, and customizable reporting, UpPromote has made affiliate marketing a breeze for me. If you're serious about running a successful affiliate marketing program and want to streamline your processes, I highly recommend giving UpPromote a try. It has transformed the way I track and manage my affiliate marketing efforts, and I’m confident it will do the same for you. *

Silverstone Utc

I hope you and your family managed to have a relaxing summer and enjoyed the sunshine. Now that all of our students are back in school, I just wanted to introduce myself as the new Principal and to introduce you to my two new Deputies. I also wanted to take this opportunity to provide you with some updates on what lies ahead for Silverstone UTC. After 19 years in teaching, mostly at senior levels in a pastoral capacity, I take over the helm of the UTC at a very exciting time. This year’s KS4 admissions were the best ever and we currently have a waiting list of over fifty students wishing to join Year 10. Year 12 recruitment was very pleasing, with numbers up and the academic calibre of the intake being a testament to their hard work in their GCSE examinations. It is always so inspiring when young people rise to a challenge. With this year being the first year of formal KS4 examination since Covid, it is heartening to see how many have secured the GCSEs needed to take them onto their next steps. Both new year groups have made an excellent start and they and their Parents/Carers should be rightly proud. It is now vital that our students maintain that positivity and that they work alongside teaching staff to maximise their potential. With regard to the students who will be starting their final years in KS4 and KS5, I am confident that they are now entering those years better prepared for what lies ahead as the shadow of Covid appears to have lifted. Our job, alongside these students, is to ensure that we work hard to secure for them the academic success that will allow them to fulfil their future dreams and aspirations. The importance of maintaining strong academic outcomes and supporting these students is borne out by the destinations for this year’s leavers. Many secured jobs in organisations like BAE, Mercedes AMG, Boeing, Roll Royce, Scania, Torque Motorsport, DB Automotive and the Armed Forces whilst others went on to colleges and university to study a range of subjects such as Architecture, Finance, Automotive and Civil Engineering, Marketing and Renewable Technologies. In 2021 none of our students (by choice) were without opportunities in education, employment and training and it would appear, given early indications, that this is going to be the same for this year’s leavers. What an excellent outcome for our young people. It reflects the fact that students who attend the UTC are seen by many employers, outside agencies and educational institutions as much more work-ready than those from other educational establishments. The ethos of work-readiness and of developing the personal qualities of our students so they can flourish in their next stage is a core theme that is going to underpin the excellent educational opportunities that all the staff in the UTC will strive to provide for your sons and daughters. We are current fully staffed and my new deputies bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that will strengthen the Senior Leadership Team immensely. Mrs Angela Murphy is the Deputy for Curriculum and Achievement. She comes from Lord Grey and has been pivotal in securing them a good outcome in their recent inspection. Her reputation for expecting high standards in curriculum delivery and maximising achievement will, I am sure, lead to greater effectiveness of teachers and greater academic understanding for your sons and daughters. She will work alongside our Assistant Principal, Mr Simon Hollies, who brings a broad and in-depth understating of academic theories related to improving the quality of teaching and Learning. Between them and the staff at the UTC, I am wholly confident that best practise in the class will be the norm for all. My other new deputy, Mr William Jakeman, joins us as Head of Pastoral Care, which includes behaviour and safeguarding. Mr Jakeman has had many years’ experience in this role at the most senior levels and has a reputation of upholding the highest standards, whilst underpinning his expectations with a fairness, kindness and compassionate rigour that is respected by students who know he has their best interest at heart. It is also important to me and my team that wellbeing needs of SEN(D) and disadvantages are met as best as we can and to that end, this year, I have appointed a SEN(D) Teaching and Learning Lead (Ms Jessica Dixon) who will work alongside our SENCO (Ms Christie Norris) and our very talented Teaching Assistants (Mrs Lauren Leeson and Mrs Jessica Ryzman). Ms Dixon’s focus will be to ensure that the specific needs of SEN(D) students in the class are being met and that these students and their parents/carers have an advocate who will work alongside them to ensure the best educational experience for their sons and daughters. As a teacher of many years, she brings to the role a clear understanding of what has to be achieved and I have every confidence in her ability to make good things happen for students in her care. Finally, I have the privileged task of guiding the long term future of the UTC towards a Multi-Academic Trust (MAT). In aiming to join a Trust in September 2023, we will seek to ensure that Silverstone UTC has the best opportunities to share with other schools the best academic and well-being expertise, fiscal security, strength and depths in a wider curriculum that will benefit our students and staff and in so doing, further strengthen the already great position in which we find ourselves today. As that process continues, I will be updating all those involved but I start the journey excited by the great benefits that being part of a MAT will bring to the UTC, our staff and most importantly your sons and daughters. I end by thanking everyone involved in the UTC for the start made this term. I offer my assurances that I will work hard to guide the UTC in the best way possible and with such great students, supportive Parents/Carers and talented staff, I am confident that the future for Silverstone is a positive one for all involved. My best wishes, John Principal
