Nottingham Rowing Club, based near Trent Bridge, is the largest club in the East Midlands and one of the most successful in the country.Nottingham Rowing Club was formed in 2006, initially as a result of the merger of the Nottingham Boat Club and the Nottingham Britannia Rowing Club, two historic Nottingham clubs that were established in 1894 and 1869 respectively. During the hundred-plus years of the two separate clubs both had various major achievements, but by the beginning of 2006 the votes of both clubs’ memberships supported the committees’ view that the sum of the two clubs would be greater than its parts and the merger process started. Nottingham Rowing Club has two well-equipped boathouses-the Boat Club and the Brit, each with changing and toilet facilities, function rooms and well a stocked bars. We also have a very active social side too. holding an annual awards ceremony and dinner, as well as other parties, dinners, outings etc so watch out for posters displayed around the club. Lifelong friendships are forged at this all-age, all-ability, rowing club.

My name is Jelle Hanse-Ievolella and I use the trade name Dutch 4 Beginners for my Dutch language services. I provide private one-on-one and group Dutch classes to students through the United Kingdom. I was born and raised in the Netherlands and I moved to the United Kingdom in 2005. I am a native Dutch speaker who also speaks fluent English, advanced German and Italian and basic French. I have a keen interest in other cultures and I love to learn new languages. UNDERSTANDING LANGUAGE STUDENTS My husband is Italian and therefore I am learning Italian to speak with the family. Studying a language myself, gives me a good understanding of what language students need from a tutor. I write and use my own lesson material during the Dutch classes. There is a lot of lesson material out there, but I find that it is not as inclusive and does not explain the reasoning behind grammar. I find it important to know why something is done in a particular way and therefore I always try to integrate this in my lesson material.

I qualified as an infant massage teacher in 2016 and extended my qualifications to deliver yoga, sign and messy craft sessions. I juggle this with being a mother to my daughter. Before taking time off to have my daughter, I worked as a teacher and Head of Department in a Secondary school for almost 9 years within; Health and Social Care and Nutrition, at GCSE and A Level. During the first year of motherhood I was diagnosed with postnatal depression, which was a little bit of a shock. I had no idea about it, had never heard of it, didn't know how I would be treated and helped along and I had hundreds of questions. Eventually once I was able to find the correct support for me, things improved and I felt safe. My whole experience as a first time mum suffering postnatal depression led me down this path. I was keen to help and support other parents and carers, creating fun sessions for all who attend, to support all individually who attend, in all aspects of health. Making individuals feel safe, supported and cared for whilst enjoying fun and engaging sessions. The thing I love about baby massage and yoga, is the way it can help new parents build or enhance that bond with their new born and it is very instant - I can literally see it happen before my eyes, and this is a very special time. I love the way all of our sessions helps both parent or carer and the child. It is so wonderful to see all who attend go one a journey. Giving individuals the skills, the confidence and self-esteem to re-create sessions at home. I hold the Touch Learn International Qualification in Infant Massage, Baby Yoga and Baby Signing and a full and valid first aid certificate as well as a yearly updated DBS

Our History In the beginning… Classical Guitar Academy was founded in 2015 by Ed Peczek. A student of the classical guitar for many years, Ed has been dedicated to the classical guitar since 1997. His passion for the instrument defined his formative years, attending lessons at Stafford Classical Guitar Centre with Adrian Copley and Selina Madeley. This enthusiasm for the classical guitar continued throughout childhood and it was clear from then on that the instrument would be central to his future. Ed Peczek Despite officially being founded in 2015, the idea for the business was formed many years earlier while Ed was studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. As one of the UK’s leading music conservatoires, the provision of a superior programme of study was truly inspiring. However as a conservatoire, these classes were only available to students of the institution. Given that the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland only accepted two to three new students per academic year, the reach of this excellent programme seemed very limited. It was then, the idea for Classical Guitar Academy was born. The concept driving Classical Guitar Academy is the provision of a conservatoire standard programme of study to anyone and everyone who would like access to it. Classical Guitar Academy came into being during late Spring of 2015. Ed hired a room by the hour at the now defunct ‘Voicebox’ in Derby, teaching private lessons a couple days a week while juggling peripatetic work and other private lessons in Staffordshire. Despite some very long hours and a lot of driving between neighbouring counties, Classical Guitar Academy was starting to gain traction in Derbyshire. As CGA’s reputation grew, so did the business. By 2016, Classical Guitar Academy was in a strong enough position to support its own dedicated studio.

Dale is a professional musician who has played in many bands over the years covering a range of styles from instrumental guitar to Jazz-fusion. These experiences have seen Dale play all over the Nottingham area and also to travel over seas to Germany which gave him the opportunity to give clinics to school children as well as performing daily. Dale is also a regular visitor to open mic nights/ Jam sessions, which is a fun and relaxed way to perform songs and meet other musicians.
