Hunsley Christian Youth Trust (HCYT) was established in 2009 and is a charity committed to working in schools to provide support to Christian Unions, help students making the transition from Primary to Secondary, provide lunchtime activities and a range of other schools work. We also work with local churches to bring young people together and to support churches in their work with young people through training and resourcing where required. We are pleased to be associated with Scripture Union. Our sponsoring churches currently include All Saints North Ferriby, St Barnabas Swanland, the parish of Elloughton and Brough with Brantingham, and All Saints South Cave. We are keen to work in partnership with churches of all denominations across the Hunsley area. God is clearly using HCYT to change the lives of the young people in the Hunsley area for the better. Faith has been deepened through involvement of the Christian Union or equivalent school groups, and space for asking questions has been given to enable young people to find out more about Him and, even, take their first steps towards having a relationship with Him. Our objective is to advance the Christian Faith and education, among young people and children particularly in schools and in collaboration with local churches in the Hunsley area of East Yorkshire.

The Hull Ice Arena, home to the regions only Olympic size ice rink, offers a comprehensive ice skating programme for the whole public. It plays host to a number of semi-professional ice hockey clubs and is a renowned entertainments venue for concerts and other attractions. The Hull Ice Arena runs a variety of ice skating, figure skating, Learn to Skate and ice hockey sessions which are open to the public. In addition to this, The Hull Ice Arena is home to a number of ice hockey clubs which attract members at all levels. Voluntary Action North Lincolnshire (VANL) is a Registered Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee, governed by a Memorandum and Articles of Association adopted on 19th March 1997, amended on 7th October 2004 and again on 4th October 2007. The date of Incorporation was 1st April 1997. A Board of Trustees (15 in total) directs the policy and management of VANL. The members of the Board are Directors of the Company for the purpose of charity law. They are elected from the membership, or can be self-nominated as individual representatives if they have specialist skills that will complement the make-up of the Board, to serve for three years. They can also be co-opted annually if there are vacancies. VANL’s purposes are the advancement of education, the protection of health and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness. These aims are pursued by bringing together voluntary and statutory organisations in Council and by encouraging co-operation between organisations. VANL is a Council for Voluntary Service (CVS). Its core work is to support, promote and develop the voluntary and community sector (VCS) within North Lincolnshire. As well as its core activities for members, at any one time VANL manages a variety of projects running on both a small and large scale. VANL needs to evidence its work in five key areas, these are: Services and support to promote VCS effectiveness: ranging from typing and duplicating facilities to advice on charitable, organisational and funding matters, and community accountancy. Liaison: encouraging networking between groups within the sector and between the VCS and statutory and private sectors. Representation: through facilitating forums and other groups to ensure views are put forward on local policies. Development work: identifying gaps in service provision and working with the VCS groups to develop new services to meet those needs.

Once a grammar school, it became a community comprehensive school in 1968 and it continues to be true to the word ‘comprehensive’ some 50 years later. Having taught in many schools and as a member of the senior leadership team at previous schools too, I am immensely proud to be at the forefront of the everyday running of this ambitious school. I joined Malet Lambert in 2014 as a Deputy Headteacher, before becoming Head of School in 2016 and, therefore, I now know our pupils, staff and community well. From our thorough transition process in Year 6 through to the close mentoring and support for our pupils taking public examinations in Year 11, we put the needs of individual pupils at the heart of everything we do. At Malet Lambert, we pride ourselves upon having high aspirations. These will ensure that all of our pupils meet their potential by creating a safe, yet vibrant learning environment, which sees first class teaching and learning every single day. Welcome to Priory Primary School’s website. We are a large primary school situated in the west of the City of Hull. We are part of the Thrive Co-operative Learning Trust along with 6 other primary schools and 2 secondary schools. We are a school which is committed to providing an exciting, challenging, connected curriculum which supports lifelong learning, physical and emotional well-being and encourages all our children to have high aspirations for their future. We work with the whole school community to provide a welcoming, safe and caring environment. Currently we are working hard to reestablish our usual routines in school following the disruption of the pandemic while continuing to ensure that we operate safely and follow our new risk assessments to mitigate the risk of the virus spreading in our school community. If children are unable to be at school at this time because they have tested positive for COVID, but are well enough to work, we offer remote learning through Google Classroom. This is as closely aligned to the classroom curriculum as possible. Children will be offered access to dongles to provide internet access and a device if they do not have this available at home. If a child is entitled to Free School Meals this is also available. Working in partnership with parents is crucial as together we can ensure your child feels safe, valued and happy. We are looking forward to being able to invite parents into school again when it is safe to do so and until that time we are very responsive to emails, to our admin address or the year group email addresses, and telephone calls. ONE VOICE IS A VOLUNTARY COMMUNITY GROUP WHICH WAS FORMED IN 2009 AND HAS CONTINUED TO THRIVE WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE COMMUNITIES OF IMMINGHAM, HABROUGH AND STALLINGBOROUGH. One Voice continues to support the community of Immingham Habrough and Stallingborough and continues to reflect on the most effective way to do this. When the group was formed in 2009 until 2019 it ran with a committee structure is built around what residents felt was needed to ensure the community as a whole was represented, Key partners sat on the committee with a number of representatives who have an area of focus within the community. However in 2019 the formal structure of a constituted group was dissolved and the group became a steering group for the Charity One Voice Immingham District who were gifted all the assets and agreed to continue the projects that were being done under the group. This decision was made following specialist advice and support which concluded that this was the most effective way for One Voice to continue their work. OUR ROLE Obtain and maintain a balanced, reflective and representative membership of the local community, by bringing together community members on a regular basis in order to address community issues of common concern. Develop lines of communication, structures and relationships with residents; service providers and other community organisations to ensure that agreed actions are taken forward for the betterment of the local area. To promote and contribute to the physical, social and economic regeneration of the community. OUR AIMS Reflect and represent the views of all community members, regardless of age, health sex, creed or religion, helping them to achieve the best possible quality of life. Raise awareness and inform community members of social developments. Work to raise and promote a positive profile of the area, reflecting and increasing the pride of those who live and work in the community. Secure better value for money through smarter investment, simplified delivery chains and high quality partnerships Identify and support ways in which to improve and protect both the local natural and built environment. UK GLOBAL LEARNING ASSOCIATION FOR SCHOOLS (UKGLAS) is a co-operative network which exists to support a range of professionals who have a role in supporting the international and/or global dimension in education. The Association was founded in 1996 and until 2008 was known as UKAEIES (UK Association for European and International Education in Schools). UKGLAS is registered as a charity in the UK (registration number: 1063668). The overall mission of the Association is to support the membership as they work with schools and school networks of all types to develop an international outlook and prepare their learners for life in an increasingly globalised society. Regular inputs from these organisations and opportunities for networking are part of the benefits of membership. The current membership of around 25 includes personnel working in a range of over-lapping contexts. They include international education consultants, Local Authority international co-ordinators and advisers, workers from Development Education Centres and languages specialists. Prior to the 2019 UKGLAS held regular meetings (usually three per annum in London) plus an annual conference. During the pandemic these meetings and conferences were held online. We resumed face to face meetings (with optional virtual attendance) on 18th October 2022. Please see the Membership and Meetings pages for details GLOBAL LEARNING ASSOCIATION (GLA) is the not-for-profit trading arm of UKGLAS established in 2012 (Company number 7468905). UKGLAS membership entitles individuals to apply to become GLA Associates at no extra cost. The GLA is able to bid for commercial contracts and pay suitably qualified Associates for their work. The majority of our Associates are also qualified teachers and some have recent experience of headships or other senior management posts. The GLA has been part of several British Council programmes including all the iterations of Connecting Classrooms. We also held the contract for the assessment of the International School Award up to August 2022 and look forward to bidding into a successor contract in the coming weeks. Our EU work included many Key Action 1 training courses and we hope to re-start these outside of the UK in 2023. We currently manage one of the final EU Erasmus + projects – see www.getcreativewithart.org Many of our Associates are also British Council Ambassadors.
