Welcome to the Dean Tennis & Squash Club, a “hidden gem” in Stockbridge. We have four artificial grass courts, a mini-court suitable for younger children and a practice wall. We have two squash courts and clubhouse with changing, showering facilities and toilets on the ground floor with a large Clubroom on the upper floor for social events. It includes a table tennis table and exercise equipment. The Club can be accessed from Lennox St and from Dean Park Crescent. The Club offers playing opportunities for all standards of play including external and internal leagues, annual tournaments, regular turn-up and play events and coaching opportunities. ABC Paramedic Services was set up by our Training and Event Manager, Craig Gray. Craig spent fifteen years working in front line Emergency Services within the Scottish Ambulance Service in Edinburgh. The final six years of this was spent as a First Response Paramedic on a Rapid Response Vehicle dealing predominately with Class A / Red (i.e. potentially life threatening) emergencies. In 2011 Craig became the first Paramedic in the history of the Scottish Ambulance Service to be awarded ‘The Chief Executive’s Special Award’ for displaying the highest levels of commitment and professionalism in his job. Craig’s considerable knowledge and expertise extends to the private sector including delivering First Aid Training to Healthcare Professionals, courses at the Royal College of Surgeons, and providing Medical Cover at events such as ‘T in the Park’, ‘The Edinburgh Tattoo’ and the ‘Queen’s Garden Party’. In 2012, Craig provided Paramedic level cover as Chief Medical Officer at the ‘Urdd National Eisteddfod’ festival in Wales with over 100,000 spectators in attendance. Craig has also employed his medical skills for charitable causes, running a medical clinic in a remote part of North East India as well as being involved in a pioneering ‘out of hospital Cardiac Arrest’ study aimed at improving CPR skills. Craig takes a very personal, hands-on approach to the business and is actively involved in the strategic developments of all training, events, and projects.

TWIC is the Local Environmental Records Centre (LERC) for south-east & part of central Scotland that collects, collates and disseminates information on wildlife in our area. TWIC is a focal point for biological recording and is working to increase our knowledge of the terrestrial, freshwater and marine wildlife throughout our area. We collate data from a wide range of sources and manage data on species, habitats and designated sites. Data from TWIC is used to support environmental decision making, education, site management, conservation, and research. TWIC supports Local Biodiversity Action Plan partnerships and acts as a regional node of the National Biodiversity Network [https://nbn.org.uk/]. TWIC provides support and opportunities for recorders and wildlife observers to develop their knowledge and skills through our training and events programme. We inspire people to record wildlife by giving talks and attending public events and Bioblitz. TWIC is a not-for-profit company and Scottish Charity.
