Baby Swimmers & Swimmers Academy - Swimming Lessons

baby swimmers & swimmers academy - swimming lessons

Pudsey

Baby Swimmers was founded in Yorkshire in 2004 by Tracy Margo after attending similar classes with her first baby. She found them so beneficial and enjoyable that she was inspired to set up her own classes to teach little ones water safety skills, and their parents the enjoyment of bonding with their baby in the water. From just one small class, today we teach over 500 children every week across North & West Yorkshire through our team of incredibly talented and passionate swim teachers. And in 2019, we were thrilled to be crowned winners of the What’s On 4 Kids ‘Most Loved Sport or Physical Activity award’. There are lots of reasons why baby swimming is good for your baby (and you, too!). You can read more about the benefits of baby swimming, and why it’s important to get them happy and confident in the water as soon as possible. Here at Baby Swimmers, we understand that children develop differently, which is why all our lessons are child-led to ensure little ones are taught and developed at their own pace. Once your child is older and confident in the water they’ll progress to our Swimmers Academy, where we’ll focus on improving their stroke technique, stamina and survival skills, including lifesaving awards. Our mission is to get children in the water and confident as soon as possible, so whatever your child’s age or ability, we’ve a class that’s just right for them. Sing and play through our structured awards programme, and see your little one progress to a confident swimmer! We have 242 learners on roll. The SILC welcomes learners who are aged between 2-19 years with an EHCP which is generic in classification. I am extremely proud to lead a school that caters for a wide range of Special Educational Needs in a truly bespoke and individual manner. Our pupils have varying needs such as CMLN (Complex and Multiple Learning Needs), moderate or severe learning difficulties, social, emotional mental health needs (SEMH) or autism. Everything we do at West SILC is based around the individual and their needs, offering them specific environments at one of our 5 sites is key to being inclusive and individual. Our pupils grow in all aspects of their lives through their time spent with us and leave us as more confident, independent and happy young people ready to access the next stage of their lives. The relationships our staff have with our pupils and their families is at the core of all the work we do, we recognise that the work we do is not solely based in the classroom or at school and it is a lifelong learning journey we are support our young people on. The school has a governing body which supports and challenges the Principal to guide the future direction of the school. West SILC is a regional centre of excellence for the MOVE programme, which supports our learners with physical disabilities to develop functional skills for everyday life – sitting, standing and for some, even walking. We provide outreach to other schools to develop these programmes.

Leeds,

WELCOME GLAD YOU ARE HERE. You may be wondering what FL is all about? Toni Morrison’s quote sums it beautifully; “When you get these jobs that you have been so brilliantly trained for, just remember that your real job is that if you are free, you need to free somebody else. If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else.” We are a global community of women working in partnership with leaders and progressive organisations to close the gender gap in business. We are a 100% female-owned and run business. Our work is supported by our members who subscribe to our membership platform, enabling them to access resources to transform their career and businesses. Our mission is to create a global digital platform that connects women to opportunities, expertise that will empower them. Every year we celebrate and recognise inspirational female leaders and male agents of change through our awards program, the FL National Awards & Summit. We believe in investing in women and are committed to developing female leaders through our industry-specific leadership development programmes. Our research explores business issues with a gender lens and covers everything that impacts women attraction and progression into critical sectors and leadership positions. Finally, giving back to our communities and paying it forward to the next generation is part of our DNA. This is why we have scholarships in place to support the next generation of female leaders. Each year we also work with charity partners who we raise funds for through our events. Want to know more? Then join thousands of other women in our community by subscribing to our newsletter. Darleen is an Empowerment Coach, with qualifications in Professional Life Coaching and Hypnosis, as well as years of experience as a safe space facilitator. She is also constantly focusing on broadening her knowledge in many different areas. Making her incredibly resourceful when working with clients. She was born in Germany but raised in Portugal for most of her childhood. At 18 years of age, she took a leap and moved to the UK in the hope to find purpose as she had always felt out of place. At the time, she didn't know where she was headed or what for, all she knew was that her intuition was telling her to jump... Seven years have passed since the day she set foot in England. Since then, she has moved 7 times and explored many different career paths. It has been a roller coaster, but one worth going on. Darleen always felt drawn to spirituality but was afraid of being seen as crazy. So one of her first spiritual eye-openers was a book called The Celestine Prophecy, by James Redfield. From then on, small and big encounters have shaped her beliefs and shown her that she was not alone on this journey. When she attended her first Women's Circle in 2019 (held by Ella Grace Denton), all the judgment, competition and fear she had felt towards and from other women in her life was replaced by love, respect and compassion. It made her feel so abundant and helped her realise that we are all one and that we do not have to go on this journey by ourselves. The moment she arrived home that day, she knew it was something she would love to facilitate for others, as she always wanted to help people. After months of avoiding her intuition (as we are conditioned to do) she finally gave in, looked past the fear of judgment and began to hold space for others. She also began to coach people, as well as share all the knowledge that life has given her via Instagram. Now she has fully committed to her calling, aiming to help her soul clients in every way possible.

HARROGATE

As a comprehensive academy our main aim is to ensure that our students achieve their potential – from Year 7 through to Sixth Form and beyond. We are very proud of our excellent reputation in the local community, as well as the wider areas of Leeds and the surrounding villages, and pride ourselves on the quality and breadth of education that we provide. We make principled decisions regarding examination entry, choosing to support the learning needs of the individual. Rossett School consistently achieves good examination results at both GCSE and in our Sixth Form. We are justly proud of our 'destinations data' that places Rossett School well above the North Yorkshire and national averages. In practice this means that all our Key Stage 4 students sustain their education, employment and training when they move to the next stage of their education. We expect all students to strive for continual improvement within a supportive culture that exhorts them to be Responsible, Resilient and Reflective learners. As an inclusive school, we expect our students to have the highest standards of behaviour, to respect diversity and to understand global citizenship and equality of opportunity. Our students are well-prepared to achieve future success once they move on from school, with the vast majority of our students going on to university study locally, nationally and to Oxbridge after Sixth Form. We are also delighted to be able to assist other schools in the region through the sharing of good practice and we are pleased to be one of the original partners within the Red Kite Teaching School Alliance, a cross-boundary affiliation of high achieving schools in North and West Yorkshire. The most important partnerships to us however, are the relationships built between school and home, where together we can most effectively prepare and support our students to achieve all that they can. Rossett School has high aspirations for every child and we endeavour to inspire ambition for all. We work hard to develop and innovate our learning and teaching experiences and put inspirational and inclusive learning at the heart of all we do. We continually advance our curriculum to be responsive to student need and skills for life. We work in a global twenty first century context, and invest in the professional development of our staff to keep ourselves at the cutting edge of education. In short, we want everyone at Rossett to be ambitious and to always aim high.
