My name is Sarah Colombini and I am very privileged to be the Headteacher at Ribston Hall High School. At Ribston, we know that every child is different. Our ethos is to enable and empower young women to discover their own unique potential. We believe that each child's individuality should be encouraged and developed. This is achieved by offering an all-round holistic education where we value all of the subjects we teach, and have worked hard to ensure students receive a broad learning experience in many different subjects that are not always on offer at other schools. As a Biologist, I recognise the value of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths), particularly in the education of women as these areas are under-represented in undergraduate study and pursuance of careers in these fields. This is something I would like to change by encouraging those that are interested to consider STEM at this school and view its study as an opportunity and a gateway to a multitude of careers. Having recently heard the news that we have been successful in securing £1.5 million to build our new science block, we are excited that this will support our aim as well as providing our primary partnership schools an opportunity to experience and engage in science learning with us too. Our key strength is the underpinning care and support we provide our students – this is because we know that you cannot succeed if you are not happy. Equipping young people with the tools to cope and succeed is what we do well; we nurture our students to be physically and mentally fit to thrive in the 21st century. Student wellbeing really is at the heart of what we do at Ribston.

I am absolutely thrilled and honoured to take up the mantle of Headteacher at Tewkesbury School. When I first visited the school and the town back in 2021, I was struck by the community feel, the passion for the town and the dedication of the staff team for all the young people. I distinctly remember the pride with which the student guides spoke of the school and of their community and the ambition the team at Tewkesbury School had for every student. This will be my second Headship in the South West and my 20th year in education and I am excited to guide Tewkesbury School through its next phase. Headteachers are custodians of schools on behalf of young people and it will be my privilege to work with the whole community from governors, parents, students, colleagues and primary colleagues to other partners in the town, county and region to make sure Tewkesbury School is strong, effective and serving our children to the best of its ability. The greatest successes come from working together towards a common cause and there is no better cause than the education of the next generations. I am keenly ambitious about our future as a school so will continue the drive towards the highest standards academically and behaviourally whilst still ensuring we remain an inclusive school serving the Tewkesbury community. The educational landscape is shifting and changing at a national, regional and local level yet, despite that, there is nothing more important than making sure our young people are well prepared to step out into the world with confidence and understanding as a result of great teaching and a broad range of experiences. Everything I do will link back to preparing our young people to be successful in their next steps in life. An introduction from our Chief Executive Robert Candy… I started the Scaffolding Association in 2011 with the intention of creating an open and inclusive organisation that would provide unbiased support to businesses operating in the scaffolding and access sector. Since then we have made considerable progress with our strategic campaign to raise safety standards, strengthen skills training, improve the levels of scaffolding competence and extend our independent audit process to protect product and service quality. Our membership growth demonstrates that we’re creating a business framework that allows scaffolding contractors of all sizes to deliver professional services while improving the safety, and competitive nature, of the whole industry. Robert Candy The new Audited Membership category has been developed in line with PAS91 specifically to demonstrate that scaffolding contractors operate to the highest standards. It offers an independent third party audit, against a scaffolding-specific procurement standard. This move has been welcomed by house builders, local authorities and major contractors who now see the benefit of our members on their tender lists and construction sites. The health and well-being of the workforce is our number one priority. Our vision is one of workplaces that are incident- and injury-free, where everyone returns home safely. The Association continues work with designers, clients and other stakeholders to achieve this. The Association also meets regularly with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) to learn from incidents and to work together across the industry to produce policies and procedures that benefit everyone. Safety alerts and standards have been prepared with the HSE covering a range of issues including edge protection and loading bay gates. Training provision and the setting out of best practice is one of the key strategic aims of the Association. We are creating a central hub of knowledge for the whole industry, and we’re committed to leading the way in the provision of world class training in the use of scaffolding. Our members represent a significant percentage of the sector’s capacity and our aim has always been to aid companies in expanding their services and capabilities safely and efficiently. By having such a broad range of members that include clients, erectors, designers, and health and safety professionals, we have been able to assist in creating new opportunities that allow our members to leverage greater value and standards in the scaffolding industry.

About this Training Course Reservoir engineering methods, data and models are used in the E&P business to describe and optimise hydrocarbon recovery. This 5 full-day course addresses reservoir engineering concepts and methods to enable cross-disciplinary team work and the smooth exchange of ideas and experience. In this course, participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of reservoir engineering and a broad range of modern reservoir engineering principles and practices for reservoir development and production, including the estimation of oil and gas reserves. The topics covered in this course will be illustrated with practical and actual field cases. Some self-study or reading will be required from participants. Training Objectives By the end of this course, participants will be able to: Describe use of permeability and fluid saturation in reservoir engineering. Explain the assessment of hydrocarbon resources and recoverable reserves estimation. Understand analysis and modelling of fluid behaviour. Explain oil and gas reservoir performance. Describe material balance methods in oil and gas reservoirs. Understand design and analysis of well tests. Understand analysis and production of producing wells and forecasting methods. Describe fluid displacement at the pore and reservoir scale. Explain reservoir simulation approaches. Describe tools for handling the uncertainty in reservoir analysis. Describe various recovery methods from primary to enhanced recovery. Target Audience This course is intended for professionals with prior technical or engineering exposure to exploration and production activities. Targeted participants include geoscientists, production engineers, petrophysicists and petroleum engineers involved with exploration and development of oil & gas reservoirs. The course will also benefit petroleum engineering team leaders as well as IT staff and support staff who work with reservoir engineering, development and production departments. He retired from Shell in 2012 and during the last years of his Shell career, he held the Senior Reserves Consultant for the Middle East and Reservoir Engineering Discipline Lead positions. He is a seasoned Petroleum Engineering professional, with global experience in Shell companies and joint ventures (NAM, SSB, SCL, PDO, SKDBV). His technical expertise is in reserves and resource management, reservoir engineering quality assurance, and staff development as well as carbonate reservoirs, modelling and reservoir simulation.  PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 2012 to date Independent Reservoir Engineering Consultant Petroleum and reservoir engineering advice, training and services. Reservoir engineering training for major oil companies, engineering firms and other global customers. Assurance of SPE and SEC reserves compliance.
