Wolverhampton grew initially as a market town with a specialism within the
woollen trade. During and after the Industrial Revolution, the city became a
major industrial centre, with mining, (mostly coal, limestone and iron ore) as
well as a production of steel, japanning, locks, motorcycles and cars. Derek
Foster identified this and began Action Midlands with the vision of offering
quality, industrial Forklift Truck Training to the masses. Action Midlands was
launched in May 1997 and quickly became renowned for offering expert and
affordable training. To this day, Action Midlands is continuing to grow,
training employees from worldwide companies such as Alpine and Aston Martin
Formula 1 Race Team and household names such as Mullers. Action Midlands and its
sister company, Action Training (Stoke) Ltd, are proud to be one of the leading
training providers in their field of expertise.
