The International Society of Performance Analysis of Sport ( ISPAS ), and its predecessor the International Society of Notational Analysis (ISNAS - 1991), was founded to improve the international cooperation in the field of Analysis of Sport. Obviously, the internationalization of this discipline is of great importance for the exchange of views, the discussion and presentation of current research results as well as the realization of joint research projects. Until now the Society has existed quite informally – its main purpose was to ensure the continuing excellence in its World Conferences in Liverpool (1991), Cardiff (1993), Turkey (1995), Porto (1998), Cardiff (2001), Belfast (2004) and Szombathely, Hungary (2006). But now with the rapid growth of Performance Analysis as a discipline and career, there is a need for the Society to assume more formal responsibilities. The Society now has the following purposes/objectives: dissemination of scientific knowledge concerning performance analysis of sport providing a forum for the exchange of ideas bridging the gap between researchers and practitioners gather and disseminating information, scientific knowledge and materials on performance analysis of sport counselling other organisations in questions of performance analysis of sport Representation of computer science in sport in other scientific associations It's tasks are: Editing the e-journal, the International Journal of Performance Analysis of Sport (eIJPAS) Organization of 2 – 3 workshops each year, preferably rotating the venues internationally. Canolfan Maerdy is the Anchor Organisation for the Upper Amman Valley and provides a multifunction community hub, with excellent services, meeting the needs of the community as part of a collaborative effort to regenerate our once vibrant local economy. Its work is focused on the Upper Amman Valley with links and engagement into Carmarthenshire and the Upper Swansea Valley as appropriate. Canolfan Maerdy has a skilled and committed Board of Trustees, employs 22 staff, supported by the work of over 30 committed volunteers to deliver services. Canolfan Maerdy came into being in 2009 as the successor to Amman Valley Enterprise, which had been active in the community for the preceding 20 years. Canolfan Maerdy as a community focused and led organisation and has long been a pathfinder organisation, identifying new needs in the community and developing services, often with others, to meet those needs. A prime example of such a service would be general interest, adult learning courses and clubs now often provided free by volunteers at the library or at very subsidised rates by Carmarthenshire at the Black Mountain and Glanamman Centres. The focus is on working in a complimentary manner with other organisations and agencies, identifying any gaps in services and facilitating development to meet needs as they become apparent.

As Tango is widely considered to be a social dance we believe that enjoyment should be first and foremost. We actively encourage experimentation and the development of personal style as well as understanding the history of the dance. We believe there are no rules in Tango (except general good manners). We do not encourage the use of the cabaceo, but instead encourage people to talk to each other as you would in any other social dance. We also encourage women to ask men to dance. Tango can be danced to any music and we find this allows for full expression of the freedom of the art form and we do not usually use tandas or cortinas. We also believe that there is no such thing as beginners or advanced dancers in tango there is only those who know how to do a step and therefore need to practice and develop that step, and those who need to learn the step.

Applied Behaviour Analysis is the science of behaviour and learning of socially significant behaviours. They need to be meaningful to the people we serve and support them in achieving a better quality of life. Examples of socially significant behaviours are as below: Requesting for wants and needs Learning to use the toilet Learning play, social and leisure skills Being able to perform independent living skills and self-help tasks Learning academic skills Increasing the variety of foods Improving levels of tolerance to medical procedures and routine appointment such as the dentist and the hairdresser We can also use the science of ABA to teach individuals readiness for learning skills and decrease behaviours of concern which include skills such as: Cooperation Expanding preference for items and activities Flexibility Reducing excessive and inappropriate behaviours Attending skills Reducing behavioural supports in line with learner readiness and the acquisition of independence Behaviours of concern include: Feeding, Sleep and inappropriate and excessive behaviours such as teaching a child to stop when out and about and reducing throwing behaviour. Other examples are challenging behaviours which include self-injury and aggression towards others. Applied Behaviour Analysis has been used with a variety of populations including those with autism and developmental disabilities (Van Houten et al, 1988; Roane et al, 2016). Studies show the effectiveness of ABA in the teaching of children with developmental disabilities when compared with eclectic approaches (Howard et. al, 2005). However, ABA is not just used with autism and developmental disabilities. ABA can also also be used: In organisations as part of staff training (Parsons, Hollinson & Reid, 2010) With individuals that require self-management strategies to deal with areas they are struggling with such as addiction (Petry, N. M. et al, 2000) To help with anxiety and depression (Hayes, S & Smith, S., 2005). ABA is also used successfully in animal training (Pryor, K., 1999).
