Pilates is an exercise system designed to strengthen, lengthen, tone and align the body while eliminating excess tension and strain on the joints. Known as ‘Intelligent exercise’ Pilates is a full body movement system which utilises mental engagement and concentration to stabilise some muscle groups whilst other muscle groups move in a co-ordinated way. A precise breathing pattern is used during a workout which oxygenates the body, replenishing cells and minimising lactic acid build up in the muscles, reducing sore muscles during and after a workout and creating a renewed sense of inner calm and well being. The Pilates method - originally called "Contrology" was created by Joseph Pilates. Joseph Pilates was born in Germany in 1880 and suffered as a child from rickets, asthma and rheumatic fever. He chose to explore physical pursuits in order to overcome these ailments. By practising bodybuilding, gymnastics and diving as well as studying Eastern and Western Philosophies and exercises he gained the knowledge to develop his own system of unique exercises - what we now know as Pilates.

The West Bowling Youth Initiative (WBYI) is a small charity and local voluntary sector organisation based in a multi-cultural area of Bradford. It was established in 1991 by local people to work with predominately young British Pakistani Muslim men, especially those who were at risk of offending. The initial project was supported by The Prince’s Trust and subsequently gained funding and backing from other charities, EU and government funding and ongoing support from the local authority. Over the last 25 years, WBYI has broadened its remit and has developed a strong reputation for successfully engaging hard to reach young people, including those excluded or struggling at school, ex-offenders and those in the criminal justice system and others facing a difficult transition to adulthood. WBYI currently works with a core age range of 13 to 25 year olds including, employment support programmes; alternative curriculum programmes for schools and crime prevention work through personal and social development projects. In addition, school holiday programmes and sports activities cater for local 7 to 13 year olds and increasingly there is a demand for volunteering and leisure activity.

What is a Multi Academy Trust (MAT)? An academy is a school which funded by central government but run independently from the local authority. An academy doesn’t have to follow the national curriculum or keep to usual school holidays. A multi academy trust is a group of academies working in partnership as part of a single organisation called the trust Crompton House Multi Academy Trust was established to improve and maintain high educational standards across a number of member schools. Through collaboration and partnership, the member schools are able to share expertise and resources. The trust has responsibility for the overall governance, finance and performance of the member schools. Approximately a third of publicly funded schools in England are now academies (22 per cent of primary and 70 per cent of secondary schools), rather than maintained by local authorities. Teachers / scholars are encouraged to focus on research and teaching new optional and specialist modules each year advancing and progressing that area of study. We also have a strong ethos in scholars of the future to advance the knowledge and therefore the Shaykh may choose senior students who have qualified to teach. After completing 3 years / 3 levels and after qualifying there is no stop you may continue with Maturidi and study the specialist fields and either provide support or carry out your own research project with the guidance of Shaykh Atabek and other scholars. Our Islamic Scholarship program is highly flexible, allowing students to study modules at their own pace. We have an advisory timeframe of 3 years for completion. Examinations are held on a bi-annual basis for the modules already completed. We have a strong ethics in which we believe that the basic / foundation knowledge in each field should read everyone and therefore Shaykh Atabek has decided there will be no cost for these level 1 FREE - Basic / Foundation knowledge for modules. Continuous development - There is no end to learning, research and seeking knowledge. During our research if we believe, we need to go back to a text and further review and teach it with new principles we will do without hesitation.
